They have traveled north and survived the chaos of the big city. Shortly after arriving in Battle Ground, Jim's home town, everything went completely wrong. Their group is now scattered to the wind and a reunion seems completely impossible. Jim and Karen are forced to fight harder than they imagined possible to save what truly matters. Brother Paul and his people managed to escape the clutches of a massive zombie horde and as they flee north toward Battle Ground he has one thing on his mind. Finding Jim Blackmore and getting his revenge.
Joseph Zuko lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and daughters. The Infected: Jim's First Day was his first novel. He recently released the final chapter in The Infected Series. When he is not writing horror fiction he spends his free time with his family, playing barbies with his girls and getting ready for the next Spartan Race. Joseph now has 8 books in The Infected series and one stand-alone horror fiction novel, Sweet Home. Sweet Home is a break from zombies to pursue a few serial killers. Make sure to find Zuko on Facebook and stay in the loop. https://www.facebook.com/JosephZombie...
Been hooked to this series since I first discovered Joseph "Zombie" Zuko's work. There is something about the narrator, Tom Bishop's voice that makes these books more fun. Just love how he chooses to use his voice for the characters, as it is a different take than what I am used to. This episode was (as usual) exciting, and Zuko puts a great spin on what the Zombies capabilities are.
Hopefully, I will not have to wait as long for episode #7 to be released on audible. As I often say, listening to these is just much more enjoyable.:)
Yet again Joseph Zuko has done a fine job of causing me to lose all track of time. I start reading one of his books and before I know it half the day is over. I love Zombie apocalypse stories and this series is the best I have ever read. I enjoy reading about Jim, Karen, the girls and the rest of the cast of characters and what they have to do each day to survive. Start with Book 1 and you won't be sorry!!
I was so excited for book 6 and wow this one did not disappoint! It was full of excitement from the first page to the last. There was such a good twist in this one and it was really original. Which is hard to do in zombie fiction! This had been one of my favorite zombie series and now I just can't wait until book 7!
This new book in the series was nonstop action. Lives are saved and lost. Alliances are formed in this zombie filled adventure and there is a new zombie breed in town. Wow I was floored by how exciting this book was. No fillers here! Mr. Zuko keeps the reader on the edge of their seats! Then add a new twist that makes waiting for the next book on so hard!
As I have stated in my other reviews the series. This is probably one of the most realistic as far as things that would happen consequences etc. if it actually zombie apocalypse happened. Zombies are bad enough but that evil that humans can do is always worse. And now there is something even worse which you will find out in this book and learn more of an upcoming books. A great cast of characters and an action packed story that will take you on the ups and downs of this groups travels. Don’t get too attached to anyone there are no guarantees in a zombie apocalypse. Check this series out you will not be disappointed
The infected series is one of the best zombie series I think I've ever read. Here, after six books and all the action, only forty-eight hours of real-time has expired. Jim, Karen, Troy, Sara, Ryder, Leon, Shawna and Brother Paul all continue to battle their demons and zombies in this installment. Jim and Karen's group are trying desperately to hold it together as their group is torn apart. Brother Paul is on a quest to destroy Jim for killing his brother, Eric, Sara is fighting for her life against Ryder, Shawna, too, is chased by a gaining horde - she's also desperately trying to protect two unexpected stowaways in the bus she stole and crashed. And finally, a new character joins Jim & Karen's group. It's sit on the edge of your seat and bite your nails time. Who will survive this day?
Meanwhile, a new enemy surfaces. One, that is more deadly than even the zombies. Things are about to get real! I quickly downloaded the last two books in the series and can't wait to start book #7. Outstanding job Joseph...can't wait to see how this new threat develops.
Damn this series is good! Only on day 3 I think and 6 books in! It’s sooo good! Now we have some hybrids. Brother Paul did turn out to be the good guy I hoped he would be! Ryder got his and that’s all I’m going to say about that.... other than ‘don’t call me red!’ Jim and Karen and the girls may finally have a day of rest.... soon but not yet. Beth will hopefully be a useful person to help with ‘farm’ things in the future. Leon may turn out to be ok... still not 100% on him. His humor is ok with me though. Where is book 7? I need it now on audio! Love the his series so damn much.... ‘bad word bad word!’ Lol Tom does an amazing job with narration. I really like him a lot!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review
Zuko did it again!!! I couldn’t put this newest installment down! Unlikely heroes emerge & unthinkable villains are born. I can’t wait until the next one & see how Zuko completely mind ***** us again! Someone please chain this man to his computer so all he can do is write & fulfill our hunger for MORE! Kesha Teach
Well, this was different, that's for sure. Rather disturbing and am a little mixed about it. But, once again, man, you aced it! Can't wait to see how this all ends! And got to say it "man stick"? :)
First, Joe, I loved the Karma Wheel. Especially the McDonald's menu!!! Second, the series is moving to a very interesting angle. How can they fight this new zombie!!??? Looking forward to next book as usual. Joe, you sucked us in again. Great job!!
You have got to read this series of books. Jim and Brother Paul are opposite yet equal in their beliefs. What kind of team will they make? You have to keep reading to find out.
You will only agree with this rating if you have read this far in the series, and enjoy zombie apocalypse literature. But if you do, you understand. This stuff continues to churn on at a powerful pace. Enjoying the series.
This book is so good you have to read it. Action, drama and suspense all rolled into one. Joe's imagination ran wild with this one, can't wait for book 7.
