Daniel Miller is President of the Texas Nationalist Movement and has been an outspoken advocate for Texas independence since 1996. As the head of one of the largest and most influential political organizations in Texas, Miller has extensively researched and engaged the issue of self-determination, not just for Texas, but as part of a growing global trend.

He has been featured on every major news network and been interviewed by every major newspaper in Texas and around the world. A featured guest on FoxNews, CNN, CNBC, BBC News, RT-TV and many other news outlets, Miller has been a vocal proponent of a fundamental reexamination of the relationship between all states in the Federal union.

In 2011 he authored Line in the Sand, his first book, which addresses the roots of Texas Nationalism and the practical implications of national self-identity for Texans. Taken from years of experience, Line In The Sand, has become a primer in the fundamentals of Texas Nationalism.

Miller, a sixth generation Texan, was born and raised in Northeast Texas and currently resides in Southeast Texas with his wife, Cara. Both avid Texas Music fans, Daniel and Cara operate Radio Free Texas, one of the first online outlets for independent music created in Texas.

While this book does evoke feelings of pride in Texas history and spirit of self-determination, it is more than just a knee-jerk, “screw the feds” feelings-based message. The precedence and details are well-thought-out and documented. The path is accessible and achievable.

TEXIT by Daniel Miller is a clarion call for all freedom-loving people to reconsider the right of self-governance and self-determination. This book is a must read for ALL Texans! It will even encourage people living in other States to re-examine their State’s place in the Union. Even the most stubborn of skeptics will not be able to escape the facts and logic undergirding the necessity and practicality of Texas Independence. Now is the time for choosing. Will you rally to the cause and stand up for Texas?

As a Texan, I found this book an incredibly researched and well thought out "handbook" on self determination. The author is knowledgeable and obviously supported the right to self government. This not only applies to Texas but any group of people that understand citizens know what is best for citizens of their state or province. The federal government is broken. It cannot be fixed. Do yourself a favor, whether you support the idea or not read this book. You will be enlightened.

If you have any questions at all about why or how Texas will secede, this book has an answer! The author clearly and thoroughly touches on every conceivable question you could possibly have about the movement and future of Texas as a nation. Read this book! It's important for your children's future!

An inspiring book about independence and a revolution against the growing globalization in the modern world. This book outlines more than just a fantasy that most Texans share, this is a blueprint for the practical application of a TEXIT! In the wake of a BLATANTLY STOLEN ELECTION, there has been a groundswell of support and new life injected into the movement! Millions of Americans have been awoken to the true depths of the swamp in DC. We watched in horror as the global leftist agenda plowed through our Constitutionally protected rights, our judicial systems and we watched as they blatantly disregarded the office of the president. We decided we do not have to go down with the ship, joining the Union was never meant to be a suicide pact! We still have plenty of room on our lifeboat, get on!

I too had that same question....Is it possible for Texas to leave the Union?
Mr. Daniel Miller has answered several of my questions within this book...This is definitely a must read for all who are skeptical of this happening. Get this book and read it before you tell yourself it is impossible, you will not be disappointed. I have found this book to be so informative, I read it twice...

Daniel Miller's book, Texit, is thoroughly researched, thought provoking, and engaging. Miller's book covers Texas History and Culture, the recent movement for Texas Independence, answers tough questions about Texit, looks at other recent independence movements around the globe, frankly discusses the unique challenges that the Texit movement faces, and much more. I was not expecting to learn so much about international treaties and foreign policy. Daniel Miller's book delivers all of this in an easy to read style with a delightful dose of Texas charm. I highly recommend this book!

This is a very well-written, well-researched, and well-thought out book! Every Texas who has questions about the possibility of Texas leaving the United States really should read this book. Daniel Miller may not have all the answers, but he suggests many scenarios and possibilities for a successful TEXIT!

The debate has gone on for years and years - should, and *can* Texas leave the United States and once again become its own sovereign nation. Daniel Miller has spent years researching and documenting the answer to these questions. From the economics and logistics down to the legality and constitutionality of the subject, Texit: Why and How Texas Will Leave the Union offers concise and to-the-point answers. The book is an informative easy read with lots of statistics, history, some wit and the occasional Texas euphemism scattered within. If you are interested in the subject and want some solid facts to help have an educated conversation about it, read this book. #TEXIT

By now you know that, just like the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America says, it has become necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which connect us to the United States of America.

We just finished reading a media copy of the book Texit: Why and How Texas Will Leave the Union by Daniel Miller. This book will be available 21 April 2018.

We have to say that Miller answers most, if not all, of the questions we had regarding what will happen when we Texans decide to vote to leave the union of states. Not “IF”, “WHEN”.

Texit is very well-written and very well-researched. Miller is right there in the middle of the debate and has heard the inevitable questions that one asks themselves regarding Texit and how it will work.

No matter which side, if either, of the issue of Texit one falls on, they owe it to themselves to read this book to learn more about what is going on in Texas.

Texit is easy to read and well thought out. It is a good source for talking points and answers a lot of the questions of why?

Most Texans would love to have the Ten Commandments back on the court house grounds. We could put them back after a Texit.

We were told we had to allow TSA agents to pat us down and take liberties no one should take with any other person. We actually proposed a law here in Texas that made it illegal for strip searches and pat downs by TSA. The U. S. government then informed us there would be no flights into or out of Texas if that law were passed. I am really surprised we didn’t pass it anyway.

There are so many reasons for Texas to leave the union and no good reasons to stay. No matter what you believe on the issue of Texit, you need to buy yourself a copy of Texit.

For all of us who think we are alone in thinking that Texas could and should regain it's independence. This is a must read. I had no idea that I was going to gain so much information from one simple book.

Clearly written and comprehensive, this answers every question I have ever heard raised against #Texit and some I've never heard. Want to know about what happens to social security after #Texit? It's in here. I was happy to see the acknowledgement of Texas' uniqueness and the absolute inevitability of Texas once again raising our head and standing among the nations. It is every Texan's birthright to enjoy self government and throw off tyranny and socialism. The time is now. Read the book and do your part to make Texas free again!

If you are a Texan this is an absolute must read. It is very well researched, thought out, and written. There is considerable information contained in this book that every individual in the United States of America should know, so despite the title and specific subject matter all 'Americans' should read it. Highly recommended.

This is a simple explanation/handbook for the inevitable exit of Texas from the United States. It is incredibly well researched yet easy to understand. I fully believe that when Texit occurs this book will be seen as invaluable to all Texans as we express our views and navigate the challenges of reforming our nation again.

No matter what opinion you have at this point, I highly recommend all Texans read this so that you truly have a clear view of what lies ahead.

In his follow up to "Texas Independence - Line in the Sand", Daniel Miller does a fantastic job laying out the legal and logical framework for making an independent Republic of Texas a reality. If you think the federal government is broken and can't be fixed, if you think there has to be a better solution to a divided country, if you think the coastal liberals and elites should leave the heartland in peace and self-governance, then buy it! Read it!

This is a very well researched book on just how we, the people of Texas can "Divorce"ourselves from the bloated and sinking Ship that is the united States. Mr.Miller answers the inevitable questions that will be asked regarding Texit and how it will work. A must read for Independent thinking Texans, and anyone else that is worried about the direction the Federal Government is heading......

This is by far the best book written on the subject of Texas independence. Easy to read with all the assertions backed up with excellent research. I highly recommend this book and is a must read for those who support Independence or are curious why Texans want their own country.

What an amazing book. The history of Texas and the questions that are answered surrounding the Texit movement are nothing but inspiring. This book would be a great starting place to anyone who is considering the options they may want in the future of their state.

I purchased this book from another seller but felt compelled to review here to get the word out on this book. If you want to understand in layman's terms about the viability and likelihood of Texas secession this book is the best. Easy to read and concise.

I really enjoyed this book and felt that it answered a lot of questions that I had as a Texan on if and why Texas should reassert its status as a nation once again.

I lived over twenty years in Texas where I earned both my masters and doctorate degrees. My father grew up in West Texas and then lived over thirty years in Dallas. While my Mom grew up in Arkansas, she too lived in Dallas with Dad until her death in 2015. Most of my extended family, both maternal and paternal, have lived in Texas for decades.

I say all this because author Daniel Miller implies talk of Texas independence has been part of Texas culture for a very long time. First I heard of it. True, from my childhood on, I’ve known many Texans who have a very strong pride in their state to colorful extremes. One of my Dad’s books he got sometime in the ‘30s or ‘40s was called Texas Brags, a collection of things distinctively Texan.

But Daniel Miller, president of the Texas Nationalist Movement, goes beyond all that. In his view, I shouldn’t be surprised I haven’t heard much about Texas independence as he believes the majority of Texans who would like to secede just don’t talk about it. He preaches secession and his case isn’t based on an exaggerated sense of state pride but an astonishing range of documentation and research.

Part of his thesis is that the Federal Government is over-reaching, bloated, wasteful, and Texas could do very well without it. He believes the Federal government has strayed very far away from its fundamental principles. He preaches a dogma most conservatives, in any state, would agree wholeheartedly with. In fact, you don’t have to be Texan to get into Miller’s world view. He thinks secession is a universal concept for anyone craving independence, freedom, Self-determination and self-government. After all, he writes, State governments are essentially sub-divisions of the Federal government which would be more responsive to citizens if they untangled themselves from Washington bureaucracy.

Perhaps the most convincing part of the book is his plan for a gradual move to state independence, not some radical instantaneous break from the union. First, a statewide referendum needs to take place to demonstrate the will of the people. Then, a period of adjustment would move the state from inter-dependence on the U.S. into becoming a new nation. He says Texas already has everything it needs to be self-sufficient. The new government would have to figure out multi-lateral treaties and determine ownership of Federal properties like military bases and arsenals.

I have to admit, while much of his book is chock full of facts and figures, Miller Makes a number of assumptions and generalizations as to why those Texans who would prefer independence can’t get politically organized. I wonder about all the citizens who weren’t Texas born and consider themselves patriotic Americans.

Texit expands on the themes of Miller's first book, Line in the Sand (2011), which addressed the roots of Texas Nationalism and the practical implications of national self-identity for Texans. Miller’s controversial books and media appearances certainly deserve serious attention as he presents a well-thought-out case despite some global generalizations about what Texans think and want. Still, he isn’t just some spokesman for a minor fringe element in Texas who just blogs his ideas for anyone interested.

As an expert on modern American secessionism and as an advocate, I can say that TEXIT is the best book available for the topic. Even if you live elsewhere in the US and want your own state to secede, this is still the book.

If Texas declares that it will from the Union, other red states will suddenly realize they need to follow. If Texas announces a future independence date, red states will have a choice to make: stay in a Union dominated by blue states, or follow Texas’ lead. Since a Republican can’t win a presidential election without Texas’ electoral votes, the red states will have to follow Texas to avoid the tyranny, perversion, and bankruptcy that incompetent Democrat rule will bring to the remainder of the US… even if these states hadn’t favored secession until presented with this dilemma.

The red states are all contiguous except for Alaska. They can form a loose federation that would inherit half of the federal government’s assets, including military assets, in return for accepting half of the US’s debts and obligations. Texas may or or may not join the federation, but I believe it would actually have more independence from foreign pressure if it joined the federation than if it didn’t.

Texas is the one state where voters are already ready to secede. It is the lever that can and should be used to force a full negotiated peaceful National Divorce. Texas might not be a state you’d like to live in, but you can help Texas lead your own state out of the Union.

So so boring. Honestly I started skimming at about the 75% mark because it just wasn’t getting to the point. I was expecting a book giving me a vision of what an independent Texas could be and instead it was a whole lot of dates and numbers and polls and history of other independence movements. I’m sorry but I just don’t care about the nuts and bolts of the process. I want to be sold on the cool car I’m looking to buy, not how long it took to source the wires to connect the engine with. (Or however that works. I’m not a car person.)

There were a few interesting points here and there, but unfortunately when it came right down to it, I felt like this book was more interested in telling me how hard it’s been for this author in his political campaigns, rather than on selling me on the reason for a Texit movement and how that might look if it were to happen.

Being a fifth generation Texan, I found the book Very well written and an easy read. It is based on History, Facts and Verifiable data......Not feelings or emotions! It covers our founding history, struggle for Independence and triumph in leadership. There is a Very comprehensive list of how the federal government is sucking Texas dry and even Better, how we can become Independent once again! Laid out in a very understandable way, it can convince the most diehard opponent that Texas Independence is the Right path for the Success of our State!
