Obsessed

I’d never imagined that someone just looking at me could set me on fire. Why couldn’t Patrick look at me that way? But this was his father, and the feelings surging through my body were wrong on so many levels that I didn’t even know where to start listing them. This couldn’t be happening. What the hell had I done? I’d kissed my boyfriend’s father. He’d kissed me

And sweet God, how I wanted him to do it again.

I should have felt guilty for kissing her, but I didn’t. From the very first moment I set eyes on Sylvie, I wanted her. I didn’t give a fuck that she was half my age, or my son’s girlfriend. I didn’t care about anything, except somehow taking her away from him and claiming her for my own.

I intended to make her mine—completely mine—and know that no other man but me was ever going to touch her again.

This book contains all four installments of the Obsessed series in a novelized format and is 326 pages (around 80,000 words) long.

I've always been a sucker for a good love story. I'm really not picky, I like a little of everything. Contemporary, Regency, PNR, historical, romantic suspense. Just give me a pair of MCs to fall for and a good story, and I'm set.

These days I can't make up my mind whether I enjoy reading or writing romances more, so I do a lot of both. I started self-publishing in 2012, and quit my day job to pursue writing as a full time career in 2015.

I also write erotica under the pen name Kelli Wolfe.

I really enjoyed this age gap, boyfriend’s dad romance. There were a couple of light incidents that happened before they broke up but the BF was a douche and a cheater and I had zero sympathy for him.

It was a little insta-love for my personal preference, I wish there was more of a slow burn. I did like that it really showed all the potential consequences of their relationship from all sides.

In the end I was deeply satisfied by Sylvie and Colin’s story. I felt it was well done and those two were really meant to be together.

As far a technical aspects of the book, I felt it was pretty well written. However, I did find about three obscure/complex words that were shoehorned in and they weren’t used correctly. It wasn’t enough for me to take off a star.

I thought this book was ok to read.

There were some parts of the book I didn't like. I thought it was wrong of Patrick's father to make a move on Sylvie.

The book didn't meet my expectations and I will not be reading this again.

An amazing read!

Fiery! Silvie and Colin May have been doomed from the start but a trial by fire may just be what it takes to cement their role in each other’s lives.
