At the beginning, before the actual story began, there was a much needed recap for those of us who hadn't read the first book.

Now to the story itself:
This is a magical tale of darkness and betrayal. Keira finds herself in danger, but she has her father, a sorcerer and many other magical creatures protecting from the darkness that seems to want to invade her in the form of a Daio Sith, the same Daio Sith that once had hold of her father.

There are battles of wills around each corner as the darkness attacks from all directions. There is also another battle, which comes in the form of trying to get her true love back.

The story is well written, and the characters are likeable enough. Although you get the recap at the beginning, I think it helps to read the first book before reading this one. All in all though, this is a very enjoyable read, and I recommend it to anyone who like a good fantasy.

A purr-fact sequel

After reading Love Bites, I jumped right into Love Bites Harder. Clark starts with a quaint re-cap of book one, stating you don’t have to read it in order to read two, but I highly recommend it. Why miss out on all the chemistry that pulls Shakira and Pryderri together in the first place? Book two whisks us readers away on another adventure. I loved that the author introduced us to even more mythical creatures. The entirety of the plot is magical. Certain elements brought a smile to my face with an Alice in Wonderland vibe. Having said that, I will remind potential readers that this is for the 18+ crowd. Lots of spice! I have heard the author mention a possible addition to the series. There is so much potential for expansion, I hope she does consider it.

Love Bites Harder is the second and final book in the Darkness & Light Duology by T.L Clark. WOW! What a spellbinding instalment to this wonderful Duet/series. As I discovered in the first book, the author weaves a superb tale that bursts to life under her magical touch. I got to discover witches, faeries, sorcerers, Elinefae, magic, mystery, suspense, and so much more between these covers that enthralled and enchanted me . This story is an original, quite unique from anything that I had read in this genre before. I can tell that the author has put a lot of thought, imagination, heart and soul into this story. After reading the first book and loving it as much as I did, I must admit that I had some high expectations for this book- and I am sooo happy to say that Ms. Clark didn’t disappoint, she delivered everything that I was hoping for, and then some.
This story picks up right where the first book ended. Shakira and Pryderi thought they had finally got the chance to make a life together after the events in the last book. But, Pryderi decision leaves Keira devastated and reeling from the hurt. Pryderi is torn in two, put in a no-win situation that shreds him to the core. Can these two find a way to be together and live the life they both dream of? Will Kiera finally find the home she longs for and a place where she truly belongs? But with dark force lurking in the shadows, danger seems to follow her. With her safety on the line, she must decide who she can and can’t trust. This story sees her making wondrous new discoveries, as well as experiencing some soaring highs and heart aching lows. Things aren’t all as it appears and she will need to navigate through it, all the while learning about her newfound powers. What unfolds will keep you captivated the whole way through.
The characters are wonderfully developed individuals with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. Kiera and Pryderi are fantastic, as are all the secondary characters. I loved Shui and Tarrah, they added a little extra magic to the story. As with the first book I have to say again that I am blown away by all the unique touches that Ms. Clark has given her story and the characters- and there is such a vast array of magical creatures who inhabited these books- they really made the story/series such an exciting and memorable experience. And then, there is the matter of the incredible world building skills that Ms. Clark demonstrates throughout this story. She really brought the whole thing to life using her wonderful imagination, and flare with words.
I really can’t wait to read whatever Ms. Clark writes next!

The story Love Bites Harder (Darkness & Light Duology Book 2) is the next exciting book in a series that I found to be wonderfully written and has amazing characters. Shakira, now called Kiera, finds herself still threatened by danger and also torn apart from her soul mate. She and her friends must find a way to fight an evil darkness. She is also determined to be reunited with the one she loves. Kiera’s journey finds her looking for a safe haven in different realms and having to discover who she can and can’t trust. There are more revelations revealed and plans that are being put into action. Will Kiera survive this new threat? Will she finally find her HEA with the one she loves? I loved the continuation of Kiera’s story. Even though she has been through so much already she doesn’t back down from danger and is determined to help those she cares about. Read this book to find out if the light succeeds and the darkness is destroyed. There are times in this story when the mood becomes lighter as Kiera meets characters that love celebrations. There are other times which had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. This book shows how some of the characters have a hard time embracing those who are different and hang onto the past. I would highly suggest that you read these books in order as events from the first one are touched on and it also includes many of the characters from it as well. You will not want to put this story down until you have read the final page. I look forward to reading more books by the author.

Love Bites Harder (Darkness & Light Duology Book 2) by TL Clark is the second book in her Darkness & Light Duology series. I highly suggest that you read the first book in this series to enhance your enjoyment of this series and to give you some background on the characters. I enjoyed the first book and I enjoyed the second book a little more. I enjoy how this author's writing skills are creative and easy flowing. Her story is engaging and will keep you on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen next. In this book we get to see the conclusion to this fast paced story. We get to see what love is really like. As Kiera continues on her quest to go home and peace, she is faced with more threats. As she continues on her journey she learns who to trust and if the fae realm really a safe haven from those that want to hurt her. Will she be able to survive? Will she save her father from the curse? This story is really about battling good and evil and I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens. The characters are creative and connectable. They will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat one minute and the next just waiting to see what will happen next. I have favorites but not wanting to give to much away to this story. Find out if Kiera will survive and if it is possible that soul mates will be reunited.

We continue were we left off from Love Bites book one where Pryderi had to make a tuff choice.

Love Bites Harder by TL Clark is the second book in her Darkness & Light Duology series and this series just keeps getting better and better. Continuing the story of Kiera, we get to not only see the conclusion to the story from book one, but also get to see how Kiera has developed in her quest of getting back home. Kiera has had to grow up very fast in this series, hut it has made her a better fighter for it. Learning to trust has never been easy for Kiera but she will have to trust not only her instincts but those around her in order to succeed. All the questions from the first book will be answered. Will she survive? Will she be able to save her father from this curse? This series is purely about good and evil and the fight that those on either side go about each day. This series I one that needs to be read in order, not only for character development but for overall enjoyment of the story. Clark is an author that needs to be watched out for. Her writing is unique, her characters are amazingly full and versed. I can’t wait to see what else she brings to the market, because I will be first in line to purchase it!

Love Bites Harder TL Clark was and epic sequel that has me hooked from start to finish.

Ok I will say that, as someone who read this almost right after the first, the recap was a little too much for me, but I can see it being useful for those that didn’t read the first book (blasphemy) or had a long wait between the first and second. Other than that, man this book was just as charming, unique, action packed and heart stopping as the first.

Carrying over that skillful writing, that book was crafted with all the magic from the first. The characters continued to evolve and burrow their ways into my heart and sadden me when the story came to an end. The plot ran its course and came to a twisty explosive conclusion that left me a little wide eyed. There is an epilogue, so you get a little glimpse into what comes after.

This duology was a magical read that ended on a high note, though there is still enough left open that if the author choses, revisit. So, take my high recommendation that you will not only love this book, but fall for this truly one of a kind series.

This book picks up where book 1 left off. All she wants to do is live with her mate in their clan. But his leader will not allow it. Not to mention, she still has hope for her father to be freed from his curse. She does not know how to fix either problem right now, but she cannot give up. Meantime there seems to be more darkness in her world. She just want to live a peaceful, quiet life. Will that ever be possible?

This is the conclusion to this series. The characters you know and love from book one are back, along with some new ones you meet in this book. The story itself, while continuing on from the first book, is completely different and not just a rewrite of book one. That is very refreshing since some series tend to do that. The characters grow in this book too. They live and learn from past experiences. If you have not read book 1, I do recommend reading that one first.

If you like books of supernatural beings, romance, and action, I believe this book and series will be perfect for you.

Love Bites Harder by TL Clark is the exciting second installment of the Darkness & Light Duology. I would give this book 5-stars, there is more excitement and more danger for the main character.



In this book we find Kiera battling between good and evil. On her journey she is finding out who she can trust, and trying to stay safe while searching for her father and trying to reconnect with her soulmate.

Kiera grows a lot in this book and I see her becoming a strong fighter as well as a stronger person mentally. She must make tough decisions and learn how to trust herself and her own instincts. While she has many protectors watching over her, it is ultimately up to her to win each battle she is faced with.

Overall this was a great follow up book, the characters are very loveable and well written and the story line is interesting and kept entertained and engrossed. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a little romance, danger and supernatural. I would also recommend reading the first book before moving onto the second.

Love Bites Harder is Book 2 of the Darkness and Light Duology written by TL Clark. Book 1 was Love Bites. The story can be read as a stand alone since it starts with a brief recap of Love Bites. Pryderi has to choose his mate (Kiera) or his clan. His choice has some bad consequences though it's not every day one had to choose between a blood oath to their clan and a soul mate connection. The story pulls you in fairly quickly and you feel for Keira. She has had a rough life and proved herself over and over and just when she thinks she gets to just be happy and relax for a little bit something else comes along.
Kiera learns a lot about herself, her powers and other groups like the fae. She grows a lot as a character but with everything going on will be ever be whole again. Will she ever be allowed to be with her soul mate, or will she always be the exiled outcast half breed to his leader, who rejects her out of fear.

Keira and Pryderi continue there romance in this second book. Coming off the cliffhanger of the first book we begin with the two being painfully separated by the clan leader. There are dark forces at play attempting to keep them apart. Can they conquer the darkness and be reunited?

I enjoyed reading this second novel. I felt that Kiera’s character grew quite a bit. She also got to explore more of the magical world. I would have liked to see her character involved more with the fae realm. I felt that the story could have been more interesting that way. Another thing I did not like was that there were a few errors involving missing words scattered throughout the novel. I didn’t feel that it took away from the story though. I did really like that more of the characters coupled up in this novel. With that being said, I rate this novel 4 out of 5 stars.

This is book two in a duet... I did not read the first book in the series and at the front of LOVE BITES HARDER there is a fantastic summary which has enough background that I never felt lost.

This is one of those books that has fantasy, and magick, destiny and love. It also has a unicorn.... "Holy Cow, he can talk." "Hush you silly girl. Of course he can talk. And he's a unicorn, not a cow." "I can see he's a unicorn, I didn't mean he was...oh never mind." Hehehe this story also has a bit of humor.

The story flows well and all of the characters are dimensional and well developed. This story is also full of symbolism. Everyone should "(see) the beauty truly within" their soul mate.

Because of descriptive sexy times, I wouldn't recommend this duet to my younger cousins but I would recommend it to their older siblings.

Straight away I like how this book was set up, it is the second book in the Darkness & Light Duology but gives you the flexibility to read a “recap” and start from book 2, use it as a refresher, or skip right to chapter 1 if it’s fresh in your mind.
The elements I enjoyed in Love Bites Harder are similar to those in the first book, I love the depth of the characters and the humor in some of the writing. The description to detail is incredible vivid and makes me feel as though I am within the pages from time to time. I especially liked some of the celebratory type imagery as the story began to come closer to it’s end. Overall, I really enjoyed Love Bites Harder and the Darkness & Light Duology as a whole and I look forward to seeing some other stories TL Clark has written.

Spellbinding! Love Bites Harder (Darkness & Light Duology Book 2) by TL Clark is the 2nd book in in this series. I can’t get enough of this series, but you need to read the first book before this one. This one is even better than the first one.
Shakira/Kiera still faces dangers. Trying to find safe places and those she can trust is getting hard. Even her love is in jeopardy and is torn away from her. Can Kiera and her friends fight the darkness? Can Kiera be reunited with her love? This book seems to be a bit darker than the first, but there is some light in all this darkness thanks to some of the characters.
Once again, this book flowed beautifully, and the characters were so engaging. This book had me on the edge of my seat and on a roller coaster ride. You just don’t read this book you experience it.

Love Bites Harder (Darkness & Light Duology Book 2) by TL Clark while this is book two I can safely say it could be read as a standalone because you get a bit of a recap about the first book. But given the chance I always suggest reading in order as sometimes it can just enhance the storyline. This story pulled me right back into this fantastic story world and had me hook to the very last page. I think this author did very well at creating a unique world for her characters to run free. The storyline is well paced and never felt dragged on or rushed. The authors attention to every detail is inspiring. If you're a fan of fantasy then I highly recommend giving this book a chance. I'm giving this book a five star review and am very excited to see what else this author brings to the table for readers.

This is the second book in this series and highly, HIGHLY recommend that you read book one before you read this one. This author knows how to build a very unique story and I have loved how this story is built and dissolves into the characters. This author was new to me with the first book but has since been added to my Must Read List. This fantasy novel and series has fairies, elves and dragons This story reads like a fan fictions and I love that in a good book. The writing is easy and smooth. The characters are loveable and brave, both stupid and smart. Both the book and series were great reads and I would read them again in a heartbeat

I thought I had reviewed this book, so you see the state's my mind's been in, looks like I simly believed myself to have done it and lo and behold! I forgot. Better late than never, so they say. THis is the second installment on the Darkness and Light Duology and I have to say I liked the first one better. But I tend to like first books in a series better every time, it's where you're presented with possibility, you see. There's always the magical feeling of a journey you're about to embark upon, and that to me makes for all the excitiment. You meet the characters for the first time and you start to embrace them and their quirks, you're getting to know them and that's always where I find most of the fun. The female MC got a bit on my nerves - well, not her really, but the way every other character purpoted her to be, so good and special and perfect. I'm always annoyed by perfection. As for the male MC, well, he just wasn't given enough front time. I mean, it's like he becomes a sidekick and that is sad because I had high hopes for this character that did not pan out. Then there were a few things that I felt were just way too out there, but turns out I was given all the hints on book one but I failed to notice them - my bad!! It's youthfully written and as fast paced as the first book, there's so much magic going round - a magical environment actually, it calls on your imagination a lot, and transports you back to your childhood. I still feel that if it wasn't for the sexy bits these books would be just what tweeners and teens might love, I think they could relate to the characters easily enough and also derive some comfort fro the whole of the story: there is a tribe for everyone, and a place where you belong, no matter how unusual and different you are. If you're into fairytales with an adult twist, these are your books. And if you're into epic love stories, you'll like this!

Love Bites Harder is TL Clark’s second book in the Darkness and Light Duology. I highly recommend reading the first book in the series because you will enjoy this story even more. TL Clark has an amazing ability to grab you from the first word to the last word. You go through a full range of emotions and the roller coaster rider is worth it. Shakira who is known as Kiera for this story threaten by the evil darkness. She is looking for a realm that is peaceful. She has been through so much with the evil darkness that she wants to find her HEA with whom she loves. Will Kiera find what she is looking for or will the evil darkness take over?

Love Bites Harder by TL Clark is book two in the Darkness & Light Duology. I would highly recommend reading the first book before this one. There is a short recap but the first book was amazing all on its own. This book continues from where the first book left off. I truly enjoy reading TL Clark’s writing style! Her words flow well and I love the dramatic build in her books. I can’t wait to see what else she has.

This book CAN be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading the first one Love Bites.
Kiera continues in her fight against the darkness and the woman who had felt like such an outsider in the last book was just ripped away from her soul mate. I was devastated for her and I was so happy to learn more about the elinefae.

An amazing sequel to a fabulous series. The story was truly captivating and I found myself turning page after page as I was eager to find out what happened. There was so many twists and turns in this book. The characters are very strong which just solidifies the storyline for me. The only thing that I would say could have been done better personally for me was that the ending seemed to be a little drawn out. Absolutely amazing ending though.

a great read about fighting darkness. everyone is affected by the events of the last book, especially Kiera and Pryderi who struggle to carry on when they are separated. attempting to distract herself from this, Kiera sets out to save her father from the curse. but when she also releases an evil spirit at the same time by mistake, will she be able to stop it before the evil force hunts her loved ones down?
a great read. well developed plot with twists and turns. that I just couldn't put down. well developed characters like Kiera being brave but also struggling with everything new in this life or Pryderi trying to keep going despite the pain. I also loved the character arc of Threaris with hope and love and there more to his story. a great example of a sequel furthering the world building with new creatures and magical realms each with their own rules and societies which was beautifully written.
the emotive start to the novel was captivating and perfectly depicted depression and loss and heartache, a feature we dont often see in magical creatures. I loved the visual details throughtout the novel such as in the fae realms with the variety of vivid colours in the dance and the sunset or the elves and their palace which stunning in visual detail.
I also loved the smaller details of the flowers and names which was a lovely addition adding tot eh sense of community and family. overall, a brilliant read and I would give it five stars.

Love Bites Harder is the second book in the Darkness & Light Duology by author T.L. Clark. Shakira’s life has truly changed. She has met her soul mate, Pryderis, found out that she is an Elinefae, and a sorceress. Her life before coming to Wales was not the life she was meant to live, now she has found her place and a new family. But when that family and her soul mate are threatened it’s up to Kiera, as Shakira is now known, to find and fight the newest big bad that has disturbed her happiness. Can she be the being she was born to be or will all this be for nothing.
If you like a story chock full of fae, magic, witches and other beings this is the series for you. The journey that Shakira/Kiera takes is exciting and the creatures she meets through her search to find herself are interesting. The author’s take on the supernatural is very unusual taking different fairy and tall tales and weaving them together to keep the reader enchanted. Plus I liked the way the author begins the book summarizing the events from the first book, that was very unusual and I wish other authors would do similar when continuing on to a second book, it was a refreshing way to jog one’s memory.

I absolutely loved reading the first book in this series and I was hoping this one would be just as good. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed this book is amazing!! This book starts out where the first one leaves off, and its just as magical and intriguing. I love how just when you think Shakira (Kiera) and Pryderi have it worked out so they can be together, some trouble comes their way. The story is true to its title, there is a fine line between the darkness and the light, good and evil, and sometimes it's hard to tell tell the difference. This story is written so well that it takes you on and adventure of magical creatures and tough choices. Will Kiera find a true home, a true belonging? This book captured the imagination and holds your attention throughout the entire story. There are awesome characters and some steamy moments that you won't want to miss, so take my advice and read this awesome original story/stories. This is a 5 star read for me!!!

We are back in Shakira’s world. Still searching for the way to fit in and with so much going on her life has been turned upside down. With curses and fantastical creatures, fae realms clan leaders, her life has become much more complicated than it ever was. Can Shakira find the way to fit in like she has always wanted? Or is she forever destined to be in the outside?
I had very much enjoyed book one and this sequel did not disappoint. The character development was strong and I enjoyed being able to track in through the course of both books. The story was complex and intricate, with plenty of things going on and interlinking. It helped to create an interesting depth to the story. The authors writing style helped to grip your attention in a way that carries you through the series with ease. A great duet and one I will recommend.

I absolutely enjoyed the first book and this second book only added fire to my already hooked self. I really thoroughly enjoyed this book and was even more enthralled than with the first. I love how the author was able to draw you into the world she has created and keep you at the edge of your seat to see what would happen next and if there would be a happily ever after!

The chemistry between Shakira and Pryderi is absolutely on fire. I really enjoyed how the author brought Shakiras past and beginnings to life. The whole forbidden sort of love and the twists in this book made for such a rivoting read. I never once wanted to put this book down. I was absolutely glued to the pages. The author had just enough mystery and twists in this book that it was such an easy flowing read. I will definitely be reading more from this author in future.
