Redemption: The Third Book of the Rossini Trilogy

Rate this book
This fast-paced story is about the reunion of Italian twin brothers, Carlo and Agostino Rossini, who were separated at birth and were as adults pitted against one another by their heartless father. In the midst of the Second World War, the brothers find themselves fighting together against common enemies, the evil Nazi leader Hitler and the equally cruel Italian dictator Mussolini. As Agostino spies for the American government, sending the allies valuable information about enemy plans and troop movements in Italy, Carlo atones for his sins committed in the years before he entered the priesthood by hiding refugees, Jews and Catholics, alike, in the tunnels beneath the Vatican. Redemption brings to light the spirit and loyalty of Italian immigrants to the United States during the trying times of the Great Depression and subsequently World War II when some Italians were interned in camps on American soil.
