OUTSTANDING !!! AWESOME !! This one starts off with hot as you know what memories !! Hunter is wanting to do whatever he needs to to find a way to get to Valhalla to be with his love . Rook is a snitch for the Directive and now has vamps on the hunt for her since she is trying to help put a stop to the blood slave trade . After being caught by a vamp we learn why she is called Rook . But now she is on the run trying to stay one step ahead of everyone hunting her ! Hunter is working in the lab trying to find the cure to return him back to human when he gets a new shipment in of samples and boy does the Thirst hit him and hits him hard and fast !! Poor smite ! LOL ( once you read you will understand lol ). Poor poor Hunter !! Man I feel for him !! Rook keeps passing out for no reason and has strange dreams and when she awakes she is hungry for of all things blood . Trouble has found where Rook is hiding out ! You know the more you read this book the more , if you are like me , you wonder just how Hunter was able to stay sane and so nice to others after his life . NO NO NO he has Camille !!!! Oh WOW ! What happens when the bad one finds Rook ??!! I gotta say I so did not expect what happens near the end ! I think this is the best one Bella has done to date !! I love the way that Bella Roccaforte is able to create such a world that you are living in it and can almost smell the scents there !! And this is to this amazing author your work is so good that you now have a huge stalker for life !!

his is the story of a very old Viking Vampire, Hunter, who has become a research scientist to become human again so he can die and join his beloved Runa in Valhalla. Unfortunately for him, Fate has something else in store. He starts having The Thirst and has no idea why or what it is.
Iris, a.k.a. Rook, has come to New Orleans and she's very special. She's a Rook (hence her nickname) who has no scent and her blood is poison to supernaturals. She also happens to be a very smart and independent woman. Rook is perfect for working undercover for the Directive, which she is doing. They are trying to take down an evil and corrupt Vampire Augustus who is trafficking blood slaves. Something happens and she has to go into hiding and all of a sudden she gets very ill. No one knows why or what to do. You'll have to read for yourselves to find out!
This story has it all - heated passion, humor, action, suspense, intrigue and twists & turns galore!! I loved it and the awesome characters and highly recommend it and the whole series!!

An interesting twist in the thirst series as Hunter is trying to become human again. I was impressed with his dedication and loyalty to his lost love. He stayed faithful for a very long time and I felt for him when the thirst took control. Rook was definitely a mysterious character, I found the secrecy around what she really was quite fascinating. There were a lot of different players in this storyline and some unusual characters that I hope to see again. Several twists that I did not see coming kept me hanging on every word as I turned the pages anxiously waiting what was going to happen next. I am really enjoying the diversity of characters that each author is incorporating into their storylines. I like the open mindedness and think it helps keep things original while still keeping it in the family. Interesting characters, unique supporting characters, easy to read and follow. I look forward to seeing what comes next in this fun series.

A danger and in danger. Hunter, ancient, powerful, deadly. He wants to die, to throw off the mantle of Vampire, to be the Viking he once was, to enter the gates of Valhalla to be with his beloved Runa. The twists and turns of the story keep you enthralled. Hunter and Rook, bloodmates, or are they? Danger at every turn, nowhere is safe. The book was very good, thoroughly enjoyed it, had to read it to the very end. Buy it, read it, enjoy it. Ok, here is ALL you need to know about this book. It’s A MUST READ! I have to tell you that sometimes books with insta-love push me the wrong way. Sometimes it feels that two people (or vampires, shifters, etc) see each other and boom….they are having their way with each other the entire book. NOT THIS ONE! Hunter and Rook are the love interests in this story. Hunter was a Viking from the old world who found his true love. He is now a vampire and has lived many, many years without his love. He is constantly researching a cure for vampirism. He wants to go down in battle with a win and be with his one true love again. We also meet Rook. She left her small town to go to New Orleans. She never really felt that she belonged back home. She can’t be scented by supernaturals and is found to be an asset on gaining information for the Directive. The Directive basically polices the supernatural community and things are going down. Rook is in trouble and everyone warns her to leave the area. While Hunter is diligently working on a cure he finds that he can’t satiate this hunger and the intense sex drive he has and starts feeling like he is going crazy. This is as much of a book report that I can give you, haha! The back story and the additional characters that are in this particular story give it a ton of depth with the characters that really make you want to root for the insta-love that these stories bring. By the time these two finally find each other there is so much intensity building that when they do meet, their worlds collide with a bang! And then their intricate web continues to be woven. These two are one of my new favorite book couples. I can only imagine what kind of shenanigans they got into before they meet or even further past this book. Loving me some Hunter and Rook!!

This is Bella Roccafort’s best story yet! Hunters story starts in the past he is a Viking and is madly in love with Runa, and then you realize you were a guest in his dream. This ancient Viking Vampire now spends his day inside a lab along with his sister Camille trying to find a cure to end his Vampirism so he can Join his lovely Runa in Valhalla. With every failure in the lab; hunter becomes more depressed and begins to feel and dream less of Runa. In one day when new blood samples arrive to the lab, Hunters demeanor dose a 180 and has Camille concerned that he has an incurable disease and she going to loose her only family. At the same time we are introduced to a girl named Rook who was working for Samuel one of the only Directive that was not on the take in the city of New Orléans trying to take down a corrupt Powerful Vamp who is trafficking humans. There is a bounty on Rooks Head for she is deadly to Vampires. Samuel is trying to keep Rook safe and get her out of New Orléans alive. This is key for her and Hunter but they just don’t know it yet. Hunter hits the ground running and there is so many twist and turns and the suspense doesn’t stop until the end. If you love supernatural Vampires and Hot Romance with danger and suspense; Hunter is your book 📖.

When the hunger strikes Hunter he gets wild urges, not anything like his usual calm self! He even makes the moves on her very gay and very married friend, Camille! As they learn more about the thirst Hunter is drawn to NOLA and learns that his bloodmate is in danger.
Hunter and Rook were a fascinating couple. I loves trying to figure out how her blood would affect Hunter. Would he be immune? As a daywalker would he be strong enough to combat its effects? Rook was so desperate to put an end to the slave trade, she was a very determined young lady!

Obsessed to be reunited with his dead wife, Hunter was immersed in his experiments until something changed in his demeanor and not for the better. Something had triggered off The Thirst and it was a matter of dead or life to find his bloodmate, soon. Rook, a human not quite human, was working undercover for The Directive until things were out of control and she had to hide, stay low and try to survive. Pursued and not only for her powers as a rook, she had to face her enemies and stay alive. Thankfully, she was not alone. Her paranormal friends and her fierce vampire Viking would fight with her against the evil ones. Not a weak heroine the witty Rook. Smart, independent, decided and amusing character that I liked. Also, liked the secondary characters that added to the action and the interesting development of the plot. Caught my attention the reincarnation theme and the twist it offered to the story. Always like when the authors surprise me with non- expected situations. A story with action, suspense, mystery, intrigue, camaraderie, violence and heated passion that kept me enjoying the reading and the different ways to deal with the terrible vampire’s Thirst.

I can not believe Bella Roccaforte has devastated us like this.. leaving us wanting so much more.. lol it was amazing.. you start with memories of the past.. with his love Runa... A vampire Viking that is trying everything in his power to get back to the human form so that he can go into Valhalla with his one true love.. he works day and night with his sister Camille to fix the cruse of vampirism.. but I do have to say what is Camille reason for wanting this cure too... and what is Hunter going to do about leaving his one and only family if and when he finds the cure?.. it’s crazy.. then comes in Rook who was clueless of the going on and then becomes a supporter to it all..soon trouble finds her and a bounty is put on her head.. seriously.. then Hunter comes into the picture willing I to risk anything for Rook.. Lordy there is so much that I can not give all the details without writhe book itself in my review.. trust me this book is not one to miss....

Hunter Webb is a vampire and an ancient viking. His aim in life is to be with his one true love but as he is not allowed in he is dedicated to find some kind of cure for vampirism so can die in battle as a human and gain entry to Valhalla and find his one true love. However while working in the lab he is struck with a mysterious illness that means his centuries long control snaps and he craves warm blood and sex until one vial of blood from a donor changes everything - and he suddenly remembers how to feel and love. Suddenly he has to find the owner of the blood who is his bloodmate before he goes insane and succumbs to the fabled Thirst.
Wow - what a dramatic story! I so felt for the characters in this story as it developed and they struggled with the interactions and understanding of what was going on. It was a nice slant on the standard Vampire's Thirst stories which I really enjoyed. It was well written as I would expect from this author and very easy to read and relate to the characters.

A Viking vampire...need I say more! Another unique addition to the series that had me absorbed in the story as the past and the future unfolded to reveal the tale. It starts off steamy and is a combination of dreams of the past and the story of now that combines in the perfect way. Hunter is not only an ancient vampire with no need for warm blood or sex, but he's actively trying to find a way to turn back human to join his one true love in Valhalla. A slight mishap in the lab unleashes his Thirst and sets events into motion. Rook, fled her small hometown and discovered the supernatural world in New Orleans. With a huge heart and plenty of sarcasm, Rook sets out to fight the injustices of the world only to find herself in some major trouble. The story-lines remain separate for about half the book before they join together and come to a surprising conclusion. There are some battles, plenty of action, and a few surprises and twists. I don't want to spoil anything or give anything away, so I'll leave you with this - after reading you will want a Flick of your own! ;)

Heart stopping Excellence
This book had me on the edge of my seat from the first page. Once I started reading it I just could not put it down. I just had to know what was going on. From the beginning we were learning about the lives of so many people that you could not help but get drawn in.
I have always imagine what it would be like to be reincarnated and the take in this book on it makes you fall in love with the idea. There was so many times I had my heart caught in my throat at the end of the chapter afraid of turning the page thinking she would leave me hanging.
I was laughing and crying the more of the story that came out. More of Hunters past was revealed you could bot help but place your hand over your heart for him.
This is one of my top favorites in this series and I know you will love it too. Please come and enjoy this book as much as I did.

This book is absolutely amazing .. Such a major twist in the hunger series and who doesn't like a viking vamp who goes barbarian .. Who happens to be an academic with his own research development company trying to cure himself of the vampire virus ... His blood mate in a different city and alls he has is a sample of her blood which turns him into a thirst stricken vamp on the rampage ... Can he find her. Rook a woman who has a special gift and one drop of her blood turns vamps to dust ... Is now in hiding from the vamps as one tried to kill her by draining her and met his painful death ... How can they complete the blood ritual when she is toxic to all vamps .. This is a corker of a book and will have you begging for more .fast paced with new worlds and supernatural's unseen before and yes I want a flick too ..just brilliant

You start the book with a hot as hell flash back that sets the tone for the rest of the story. This first chapter will melt your panties and have you falling in love.
Hunter is the Viking man we all dream of. Swoon worthy at its finest. This man's soul may be thousands of years old but it burns for just one heart. The evolution of this story will keep you on the edge of your seat. Is Rook the one he needs?
Rook the woman, the mystery. She could possible be one of my favorite super natural characters. She is in need of her own tale!
Anytime I feel like a new story needs to be told I applaud the author. She has definitely done her job and got me hooked!

Bella takes on a page-turning-action-filled-adventure. I think this is my favourite Thirst book so far.
Lives that run parallel to one another but are worlds apart are destined to be united one day. They knew each other in a previous life, can they pick up where they left off? There is always someone or something wanting to throw a spanner in the works. Can love really conquer all? Of course it can but at what cost?
Read this book, you'll be glad you did!

Holy freaking hell, what a story, there’s so much I want to say about this book but can’t without spoilers.
I love the whole ‘rook’ aspect, that’s a nice twist ! what’s a rook you ask ? Not telling, you’ll have to read it 😊 and talking of twists ..... Calder OMG did not see that coming !!!
I definitely need some flicks in my life, you’ll understand why.
This really is a can’t put it down read, Hunter is an awesome character, we would so be best friends and raise chaos wherever we went hahaha.

Hunter is AWESOME....and Rook was great. She was so strong and funny. She didn't care who she took on, even if she was scared to death she never let them see it. Vampires can't smell her or hear her heartbeat because she's a"Rook". Hunter has lived thousands of years loving one woman who died those thousand years ago. How's he going to handle loving another? His Blood mate! Great story by an awesome author.

This is the 8th book in a great line of many books by different authors who all write in the same world under the main title line "A Vampire's Thirst". This book is an enchanting and entralling love story that follows the main theme of all the other books in this series, but is a stand alone storyline with a HEA ending. This series takes the usually vampire romance and gives it a unique twist. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.

This is a well written steamy, action packed story! You will be entertained as you are swept away into this story. It has a few twists you just do not see coming till the very end.

Absolutely Loved
The story line and characters were amazing!! I've read three books from this series in 6 hrs., I haven't been able to to put them down. Even though each book is from different authors, I haven't been disappointed once and also have new authors to follow!!!! This series is amazing!!

Another good vampire romance with a viking vampire and his mate who lived a pass live.
Good drama,action some humor and passion.
Really liked Rook character and of course Hunter.
Easy fast book to read, enjoyed it.

I love all the books from this series... I feel as though the more books added to the series the more rushed the book feel but I would still give it 5 stars!

I'm so hooked on this series. I just loved Hunter and Rooks love story. They have a never-ending love. I couldn't put this book down. On to the next book.
