This week I did a unit on the differences between fiction and non-fiction books. I paired this with the book "Olivia" by Ian Falconer, reading both titles to the younger grades. The first graders thought this book was very interesting and had lots to say about people they know that have pigs, etc. I, on the other hand, felt too much information was left out, and it ended abruptly.
