CHRONICLES OF BROTHERS is the story of three brothers fighting for the future of humanity. From desert tombs, to the towers of Wall Street, to the ancient past, this super-epic tale reveals the hidden history of mankind and the origins of evil itself.
Writer, TV producer, and film maker, the head of GOD TV and a director of WarBoys Entertainment. She has written several books, including the epic fantasy series, Chronicles of Brothers. She co-founded GOD TV in 1995 [1] and is the network's President and CEO.
I technically give this book 3 1/2 stars. The Chronicles Of Brothers series is one of my favorite series & has been one of the most impactful series I’ve ever read. I was THRILLED when I saw that the next book was out! I have to say, though, that it was harder for me to get sucked into the story in this book than it normally has with the other books. I wasn’t truly enthralled with it until maybe the last third of the book. It’s not that it was uninteresting or hard to read, it just wasn’t enthralling like these stories normally are. I also hated the fact that she used cursing in the book, ESPECIALLY God-d-it. I thought it was weird that none of the actual Fallen used foul language, but she made sure to have Jason & Alex use it? I get that they are not yet believers, but it just was unnecessary. I find it just as effective to say in the narration, ‘Jason cursed.’ Or if you MUST, just don’t say G-D. So that just really bothered me. Those are the reasons I didn’t give it 4 stars. But the last third of the book was spectacular & I’m so frustrated because I have no idea how long I have to wait now for the next book! Please, Wendy, make it quick!
'End of Days' is the fifth book in the Chronicles of Brothers series, and what a compelling series it is! I was immediately pulled into the story and continued to be engrossed for the duration. This is just as fabulous as the previous four books, if not better! The descriptions are vivid and each of the places the brothers happen to visit are wonderfully evocative. I would advise that you read the preceding books first as much of this story won't make sense unless you have read them, and in my opinion it does not work as a standalone. Another successful read from Ms Alec. Enjoyable and entertaining with a focus on the history of humanity and what it takes to be accurately labelled as evil.
Many thanks to Harper Inspire for an ARC. I was not required to post a review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
Great story Great twists and can't wait to read more
I have read and re read every book in the series. No one writes like Wendy Alec. The way she paints the stories about heaven and earth just blows my mind. I can feel the love of Christ through her words. She stays true to the Word of God. Her books causes me to be more in love with Christ than before. Can't wait for the next book.
A dramatic opening scene reveals panic from inside the vatican, and rightly so if secret portals to spiritual realms are about to open and unleash the unspeakable.
You will appreciate this book all the more if you have read the first four chronicles brothers books before it - End of Days carries on where 'A Pale Horse' left off.
It's not as lengthy as the other books and the story seemed to end quickly.
I can’t believe how long it’s taken for this book to be written/published, it’s been a heck of a long time since book 4 - leaving readers dangling… and then this one leaves you dangling again at the end - a pretty sudden end with a twist - and a line saying “the story continues in a future release”…well lets just hope it’s not too far in the future!
So glad its not the end, another book to look forward to. Sci-fi fantasy action romance thriller, all rolled together brilliantly. The whole series so far is stupendous. Wendy should be regaled as a worthy successor to such writers as H G Wells, C S Lewis, Tolkien and Rowling.
I realized my fascination with Christian fiction with “The Fall of Lucifer” years ago in high school. Recently, I had the desire to go back to the book and since then, I’ve been hooked on the series. The twists and turns, the mingling with our reality, the references to the Bible, the depth of the characters. Wendy Alec has made an addict out of me. Looking forward to Book 5!
I was really upset with this book. As each book progresses the author is using more and more profanity. It is not even “the fallen“ that is using the profanity. It is the main characters. As a Christian author I don’t feel that the profanity is necessary.
Also, it is my opinion alone, that the book is mainly of a Catholic religion, and not other denominations. It doesn’t particularly talk about repentance among the humans. Repentance is one the foundations of Christianity. The characters either see “Christos“ or somehow have an encounter. Only Nick in The third or fourth book had somewhat of a repentance.
Also, it is my understanding from the Bible that people knowingly take “the mark” and understand that they are doing so and that they are rejecting God. This book leads you to believe that people take the Mark without knowing that they are going to be eternity separated from the Lord. They’re just plopping a chip in every one throughout the book.
I know the author is free to use her imagination, however this is the first time Ive read a series or book about end times that doesn’t really follow the book of Revelation better. She’s completely left out the “two witnesses” from the first 3 1/2 years. The “war in heaven” wasn’t even a war.
As each book progresses there’s less and less Christianity in it. I realize the last 3 1/3 years are going to be “hell on earth”, how ever as book 5 ends, I would have a hard time placing it under “Christian reading”.
It was very very difficult for me to stay engrossed in this book. The others I have devoured. This one, I just finished quickly so I could move on to another.
On a positive note, I loved that fallen angels Jesus was granting forgiveness if they repented. I fully believe that to be true. No proof or evidence of it, I’ve just always thought our creator is merciful to the end.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Adrian show up at the end. I actually thought it was his James DeVere alive!
Also, I’m glad Jason and Julia are together again. LOVED Lilly being healed
Lastly, I am well pleased that she put the Illuminati, committee of 300, The NWO, and all the others that people claim are “conspiracies” together. It was believable, very well explained, and well executed.
There are some really good points in the book, great writing. Over all, compared to books 1-4, I was severely disappointed. Mostly about the profanity.
I’m hoping book 6 will be better and out very soon.

While I loved this book a lot, I did not feel it was as good as its predecessors. There was so much jumping about from scene to scene, character to character, that I was becoming lost and had to go back to try and work out just where I was.
That being said, I still found it an exhilarating read and an excellent next instalment. The plot was always moving forward, with so much action that I felt, at times, overwhelmed and had to take a break. But this was a good thing because I was so emotionally invested in the story that I felt the tension and the heaviness it portrayed.
I was glad for a bit more of the angelic side in this story. I felt the battle between Lucifer and Michael was a bit anticlimactic, though the events that followed were truly amazing.
This story seemed to centre most on Alex. I felt sad for the changes in his character, though the story behind it took me by surprise because I could not see any time between the last book and the start of this one where those events could have happened. Of course, given those events and the events detailed in the last book, it's no surprise that he is how he is now, but I still miss the more energetic, light-hearted Alex.
The ending seemed to come rather abruptly, as though everything was being crammed in towards the end. The entre latter scenes with Julia, for example, seemed a bit rushed and sudden, and I couldn't see the logic behind it. In the previous books we did see a lot of the enemy's side--Lucifer's and Adrian's plans--but a lot of this was missing this time. Instead we saw more of the angelic's plans which, until now, have been kept secret.
The final plot twist at the very end took me by surprise. The identity of the Ghost was definitely not someone I was expecting to see.
Oh, and the whole thing with Xacheriel and the Tardis--amazing. Though I still have yet to work out the whole angelic concept of time travel because they seem to follow time as we do but regularly comment on traversing time.
You cannot end a book like that, man! How dare you!
All joking aside it's another hit. A few errors aside with some misplaced or missing quotation marks, the story had a nice mix of the Earth story and the behind the scenes Angelic stuff, which is what I'm properly interested in tbh. The end sequence was great. The further exploring of the complicated relationship between Lucifer and Yehovah and Lucifer and his brothers, especially Gabriel. There's more questions and plot points for another sequel and it's all just good fun really.
It is stunningly brilliant and although it’s a few years since I read the first 4 books in the series, I was able to get quickly back into the story. I was totally immersed within the first few pages.
As with the previous 4, End Of Days is also written in Wendy Alec’s very cinematic writing style. Her descriptions of the scenes in the book help to visualise some of the beauty and also the horrors in the plot.
I was first led to read these books, starting with the Fall Of Lucifer because a friend commented that she felt sorry for Lucifer. I was horrified so she suggested I read the book to find out why. I read it and totally disagreed. Not for one moment could I ever feel sorry for the enemy of my soul and the enemy who rages against our beautiful Father God and King of Kings. However, reading the first book got me hooked into the series and got me passionately studying the scriptures and into conversation with God.
End of Days has been so eagerly awaited that my only disappointment was that it’s too short. Oh and a few typos. I now want the next book. There are the same characters popping up from the first 4 books but also some interesting plot twists. Jesus (Christos) is in this book a little more but Holy Spirit not so much. I wish I could say more but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. In this book, I did become more aware of how horrifically, unutterably, devastating it would be to be cast out of the Presence of Almighty God.
Three phrases to sum up my thoughts/feelings about this book: 1. Must read 2. It will not disappoint 3. Stunningly cinematic and powerful
The apocalyptic series concludes with this book. Lucifer (now Satan), the King of Perdition and his minions are moving toward Armageddon while Michael and Gabriel warn him of his end. The lines are drawn as Satan's forces prepare to launch the release of 4 billion vax shots which will turn mankind into super soldiers who will do the will fo Satan.
The world is mourning the assasination of world leader, Adrian de Vere while Jason De Vere is hidden away. The stage is set for Satan's ultimate show of evil and defiance which involves Adrian. But, first. Lucifer must be banished from the First and Second Heavens Yehovah. As battles range in the heavens, the stage for final battle on earth takes form. There are some well-constructed twists and turns as Julia St. Cartier (Jason's ex-wife) and Jason De Vere fall into the hands of the evil and possessed Adrian. There is also a big surprise at the end of the novel.
This riveting novel features graphic battles, strategic maneuvers, and mastery of Yehovah. The author builds to a climax but leaves the reader at the brink with the promise of another novel. I enjoyed this dark read and was impressed how the novels ends - at least until the next novle in this series.
Christian fiction mixed with sci-fi/fantasy elements. Alec does a good job in envisioning in a sci-fi/fantasy sort of way how the tribulation/end times plays out, which is good for a writer's freedom.
I love the interactions between the fallen and the angels, either in angelic form or human form. Alec's imagination soars in how heaven is visualized, how the Nephilim/Beasts and the Mark come about, with the CERN supercollider and wormholes, and using DNA of the Nephilim for the Mark.
Still cannot believe that some of the human main characters haven't figured out what is going on.
Overall a fast read, but not quite as good as the previous four, as the story moves swiftly, but choppy, which can mess up the timeline flow. Toward the end, it seemed rushed.
Still a good series, and hoping the next book comes out soon.
Just when I wondered if it could get any better, Wendy Alec does it again! Her books are absolutely amazing but End of Days takes the cake! The suspense, the plot twists and the brilliant intrigue kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. For vast portions of this work I felt like the author was reading directly to me in front of a fireplace. She has done a masterful job of connecting with the reader and bringing you along on a complex and incredible journey. With her glorious wordplay and factual research, she’ll leave you wondering about the true implications of the subject matter. My most enthusiastic & highest recommendation!!!
If it wouldn’t have been for many needed edits, I would have given it 5 stars, and I don’t mean British spellings. Hard to read at this moment in time because the content was parallel to our current world—pandemic and violence. A little confusing as to what angel shifted into what person, but there was a character list in the back. The whole series—so far—is thought provoking and should drive every follower of Jesus Christ to their knees and everyone who doesn’t follow Him to their knees, also! Blessed.
Oh NO!!!!! My favorite series of books has come to an end...and...it has made me sad and wanting:( I was hoping to see Satan thrown into the pit by Michael...It did not happen...There was also a lot of scientific filler that was un needed. Lucifer plans to steal Michael's DNA...but then we never find out if he does it or not! Then...the real Adrian De Vere shows up, but that is it! PLEASE tell me there is going to be another book! If not what a tragic way to end such a brilliant series! The first and third books were the BEST for me. Two stars for effort and my LOVE of Archangel Michael.
End of Days is the shortest book in the Chronicles of Brothers series, but it packs a mighty dramatic punch.
The tension and stakes were so high that I couldn't put the book down and it's so rewarding seeing all the clues and connections finally add up and come together.
The imagery Wendy Alec weaves with words is awe-inspiring and her characters are as brilliant as ever; seeing Jason's personality evolve throughout the series is an amazing transformation.
Ending on a shocking cliffhanger, I can't wait to pick up the sixth book as soon as it's released!
After devouring the “Left Behind” series several years back, I’ve come to love this newer series by Wendy Alec. This familiar storyline takes on an entirely different perspective; that of the world of the angelic side, the good and the evil, and the authors’ creative way of having the main and unforgettable characters from both sides interact with humankind, as it races toward Armageddon.
Another great story in the epic sequence of books by Wendy Alec that is a retelling of the bible story of the fall of Lucifer and the battle between good and evil. This book is set around modern day (slightly in the future) and continues the story of the battle toward Armageddon. I would highly recommend reading the whole series first to set the scene. I had thought that this was the last book but it wasn't so I eagerly await the next one.....
I hated to see this vividly written continuation of the Chronicles of Brothers to end. It was an intensely action filled installment with breath taking heavenly glimpses into all the various heavens with rich descriptions given at every turn. All the horrors and atrocities, twists and turns, triumphs and near escapes reading like a cinematic drama that came to life in one’s hand.
Looking forward to further exploits from this excellent series.
3 brothers fighting in heaven & earth great book bringing characters to life These books contain great descriptions of heaven & hell - the beautiful palaces the places of great beauty & hell the monsters the giants evil everywhere When the fight for humans begin we she evil in earth & can earth be saved I have loved all the books the tale of Lucifer, Christ, the battles of Gabriel, Micheal & Lucifer the love of a father & his vision of mankind Jealousy greed - good will concurred all
I have loved this since someone in a Bible study told me about it. It has been a long time between book 4 and 5 but I believe that Ms. Alec is hitting to close to the truth of what is going on in this world and the evil one attacked her in various ways. Thankfully, she is back to writing and hopefully it won't be so long before the next book is published.
To read the books of Wendy Alec is facinating. She bring you into a world and dimentions which blow you away and become thanksfull for have read it. For a Norwegian she is streching my english, and I read Word I never have heard or read before. I recomand all books in this serie.
I have been waiting for this book....amazing is all I can say! I have read the 1st 4 books 3 times while praying for the 5th book to come out; and each time they get better! End of Days continues the edge of your seat story.... which could be our future👍. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🙌
Alec has crafted an exquisite masterpiece! I was immediately immersed into the drama. Twists and turns kept me turning the pages. I devoured this novel in one sitting. I have so enjoyed this epic series!
Recommend to readers who enjoy Frank Peretti style novels.
I borrowed a copy from KU. I have expressed my honest view.
I liked the fast-paced action. The twists and turns were surprising. The spiritual transformations for the characters were believable and felt real. Wonderful read. I'm ready for the next book.
Wow. I been in a reading slump for a while. Loved this series so much when I discovered that there was a new book I had to read it. As always it met all my expectations. Loved the plot twists. Looking forward to the next book. 💙💙💙
Great Story gripping surprising! Read at the edge of your seat read in a day! I am in a letter describe the mass of action that comes to you. And now we must wait for book 4! Will there be time
