Overall the book gives an positive vibe before we read the book.

The language used in the book is simple and easy to grasp information what the author is trying to convey. The author has done a commendable job with narration part as it tries to give clarity in various aspects of life.

[Detailed book review is available at: https://thinkerviews.com/books/englis...]

Life is all about living. If you try looking for fairness in it, you may be disappointed at time. So, the only logical thing you can do is give it your best even if the life hits you.

Based on his personal experiences of the life and the wisdom he learnt over the course of time, Anuj Tikku, the famous blogger has complied a list of his articles about the life and what it teaches, in the format of this book - Survival.

The book talks about various things you can do or rather you should do when the life hits hard to you or otherwise. Reading the book is like reading a set of motivational article or the transcripts of some Ted Talks.

Some of the writings in the book will surely be able to touch the emotional cord of the reader and that is the success of the author. I've received the book from the author, and I will suggest you to purchase when a book promotion is running, as it is little costly.

The book is not for light reading. You should go for it only if you want to read something with a substance and be able to pay attention to it. Such how-to books can be helpful only if you act upon the lessons learnt from it. So try looking at the book from that perspective.

If I am asked to choose a couple of best lines from the book, I will go for:
There are no right or wrong ways of living.
— — — —
The only advice that is right is the advice that works for you.

So deep and philosophical yet realistic...

The author is bold while representing his thoughts and thus he shares some idea which are quite different from what all the traditional motivational articles include. His thoughts about having a goal-less life and "suffering is good" might seem wrong at first. But, when you read the article in depth, you will find that the author put his point in a convincing manner. Also, the things must be read in the context the author wants to convey. And, if you can do this, this book proves a good reading experience.

The book has some spelling errors is not a masterpiece, of course. But, it provides something you will learn from.

Rating:
I would give it around 3-3.5 out of 10, the stars above are rounded off.
