They say running away from your problems is a race you can never win.
But I sure as hell am going to try.
I’m Belle Delford. Yep. THAT Delford. My family owns the largest bourbon distillery in the country. And I’m the soul heiress to it.
You’d think I wouldn’t have a lot of complaints in my life. I’m just a privileged rich girl, right?
But you’d be wrong.
I’ve got big problems in Kentucky. And I need to get as far away from them as possible.
So I drive west. As far and as fast as I can.
I end up in a little Montana town where I discover I’ve been cut off by my family who is now looking for me. So… no money. No way to survive.
Until I meet Huck Calloway.
Huck is like a modern day Marlboro man. He’s all square jaw and stubble. Tall. Handsome as hell. He owns a bar. Shoots his own food. Drives a truck.
All the things that I never knew I found sexy.
And he’s stoic. He’s got walls up and he isn’t letting me even close enough to climb them.
It seems I’m not the only one with a past.
Before I know it, I’m not just working for his family, but I’m falling for him.
Which is the last thing I should be doing.
Because when my past finally catches up to me, there’s no telling what they will do to the town and the man who is now protecting me.

Well written story about facing your troubles and not running away. Great storyline and plot. The characters are likeable and believable. They have great chemistry and passion.
It is a quick, easy and steamy read. I like the strong main characters. A spoiled heiress runs away from her violent fiancee that only wants her money and the status. She ends up in a bar that is owned by Huck and his uncle gives her a job here because she has no money or gas. Huck is not safisfied with that and have no confidence in her.
A lot happens that is unexpected and that caught me from the first to last chapter.
Enjoyable read.
