The game of love can be very confusing for Amelia and Richard, the Earl Blackthorn in Sinful Pleasures as they agree on a temporary marriage of convenience. Both Amelia and Richard have emotional scars from their childhoods and they do not want anything to do with love! Kristi Jun has written a story that has passion, with a great cast of characters that come off the pages and pull you into this emotional ride that keeps you involved until the very end, it is smoothly written, dealing with unnerving situations, with a enjoyable plott that is filled with tension-building twist and turns and setbacks that will keep you entralled from the beginning to the end in this outstanding story!
As the title suggests, this is a series about the underbelly of polite British society in the early 1800's. True, there are Lords and Earls and plenty of castles and balls, but Sinful Pleasures gives us a different take on the late Georgian era.
An heiress and an earl, both in need of a good match, find good reason to marry. All is as it should appear to society. Beneath the titles and the money, however, Amelia and Richard are scarred and imperfect people, convinced they aren't capable of true love. They're prepared to carve out their own versions of happiness, until their mutual attraction turns into love. As they work together against the injustices of their society, in the underbelly of London, Amelia and Richard are tempted to crave more from each other. But can a former soldier and the daughter of a whore dare to find happiness?
A romance novel with depth and clever writing from Kristi Jun, allows you to feel along with her characters, as one feisty heroine, and one Byronic Earl fall unexpectedly in love. If you aren't careful, you just might fall in love with them.
What a wonderful book this was. I found it hard to put down. It is nice to read a book about two lost souls finding each other. There was mystery, adventure, a nasty grandmother and a nasty guardian who has something to hide and of course romance. This is the second book by Ms Jun that I have read and find that her stories flow nicely and the relationship between the characters is well balance and a joy to read. There was some low level sex that this reviewer skipped as usual and it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the book. Well worth reading and now waiting for the Kates story after the cliff hanger ending.
Kristi Jun did it again! I was hooked from the first page to the last one. Delightful story and characters brought to life by descriptive words. I can't wait for the second book to see what Amelia's friend Kate has been caught up in.
This is the first book of Ms. Jun's that I have read and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is the first book of the Sinful Ladies of London series, and wow, what a great start to what looks to be an exciting series! Richard is a former soldier and Amelia is the daughter of a prostitute. Ms. Jun has crafted a beautiful and emotional story about two people with difficult pasts and broken souls who enter into a marriage of convenience but end up with so much more. I was completely captivated by this story and was pulled in from the very beginning. The characters were well-developed and utterly endearing and I enjoyed the dialogue between them. With a smooth storyline and plot twist that keep you guessing, it was easy to get lost in this story. An enjoyable and entertaining read, and I look forward to reading the next installment.
I was given a complimentary copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Sinful Pleasures was easy to dive into, it had an action-packed start and characters you liked immediately. The sexual tension between Amelia and Richard was hot and fun to read. The plot moved quickly, with unexpected twists and turns which led to a satisfying conclusion. Kept me up late into the early hours of morning reading.
And the cliffhanger for the next book! I can’t wait to read about Kate!
I loved this book only the book needed proof reading in a bad way I can Usually have a book read in 2 to 3 days this took longer as I had to reread pages or sentences So Please in the Future Proof and also the end seemed rushed wish it would have slowed down a little but other than that it is Heartwarming and Romantic in all the right places read And I will give 5 stars it
This is the first book I have read from Kristi Jun and it won't be my last as I found it to be a wonderful read. Amelia Knight and Richard, the Earl Blackthorn made a perfect couple -they both had pasts that they had to deal with before they could find their HEA. The story had action, mystery, adventure, romance, love and some tender moments. I highly recommend this read and I can't wait to start reading Book 2 about Kate.
Amelia grew up in the slums believing her mother a whore and that she was illegitimate! Raised and abused by her grandmother she wanted nothing to do with men until she had to fulfill the terms of her inheritance! Richard family is in tatters! A beloved brother dies and he is left with an impoverished estate! Chemistry and sparks fly between Richard and Amelia as they search for her long lost friend! They may fall madly in love!
Sorry, I didn't like this one that much and didn't finish it. The writing didn't draw me in and could do with some polishing and clarity re the story line. There's lots of descriptive word building though. Lots of people liked this book, so don't let my opinion stop you from reading this new author's book, you may love it.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful romance novels series books. Please keep writing more of these wonderful books. I want to know what happens to kate..
