Michal Howden has been fascinated by history, and by the Civil War in particular, for more years than he will currently admit. Mr. Howden has taught history, 4th grade up to university, and has served as a national social studies consultant to major publishers. He has worked with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. He and his wonderful wife Elizabeth live in Zionsville, Indiana.

This novel has great storytelling, engaging characters, and realistic dialogue. The historical facts are seamlessly woven into the story. You won't want to leave the characters behind when you finish reading!
