HAYES

Rate this book
The life I’ve built is pretty great.

I’m one of the most sought after talent agents in Los Angeles. I represent some of today’s hottest stars, while making a ton of money and rubbing elbows with Hollywood’s elite on a regular basis. Parties, schmoozing, and making deals? It’s what I do. I’m a rare commodity in Hollywood… a woman with power.

And I came from nothing. So it’s that much sweeter to have made it.

And where is nothing? Whitmer, Montana. It’s my hometown and the place that still haunts my dreams. As soon as I was old enough I escaped it all; the pain, the past, and HIM.

Hayes Calloway.

We were once just two crazy, small town kids in love. I’ve known him my whole life and he’s the man I once gave everything to. I was positive he was going to be my forever…until a tragedy obliterated our world and my family.

Hayes was part of the collateral damage.

Leaving Whitmer was easy. Leaving him was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

So that’s why I stay away. Whitmer IS Hayes and I can’t go home. Ever.

Until one day, I get a phone call.

The only kind that could ever get me to come back.

One that will ensure nothing will ever be the same.

Hayes Calloway

I loved Huck's story and was excited to finally move on to the next Calloway brother, Hayes. I really liked him in the first book, as he was quite charming and funny. In this one, I felt like he was treated like an afterthought by the woman who was supposed to be the love of his life. He's loved Sarah Acres since they were kids, but she left town ten years ago, after her brother's death. All this time, she's making a name for herself as a top talent agent in L.A., and Hayes has been back home in Montana pining away for her. If her mother hadn't called with a family emergency, I wondered if she'd ever return home. That left me feeling sorry for Hayes because I think he would have waited forever for Sarah. I'm not saying that I didn't like Sarah because I had come to like her a lot. It just seems that this story lacked something, I just couldn't put my finger on it. I think Hayes deserved a better, more detailed explanation of why Sarah really stayed away all that time if she loved him so much. I know they discussed how her brother's death hit her hard, and it was difficult being in the town where everything reminded her of him. I guess I'm just being picky because I really like Hayes. LOL!

Well written with great storyline and plot. Characters are likeable and well described. Very captivating and have unexpected twists in it that made me want to read on. I would have liked it to be longer because it is so well written.
It is a sweet second chance romance that has it all. It is an emotional rollercoaster that will make you sigh, laugh, cry and scream. Absolutely worth the read.

A great read and nice addition to the series. It took awhile to warm up to Sara but I did thaw a little towards her closer to the end.

Great series

I can’t wait till Hunt comes out. I really enjoy modern western stories. They appeal to me because I lived out west for quite a while. Enjoy
