I didn't Expect that the Americans underestimate the Germans but D- Day was very brutal and scary i could think that. Another thing is the book told me about the history of the United States and How they fought and served our country.

We meet Keith late spring 1944. He and several friends are soldiers in a holding pattern, stationed in England, practicing, drilling, preparing for the coming invasion that would become known as D-Day. Just the right balance between facts and the emotions that the Keith experienced in the days leading up to and following the D-Day invasion.
