My debut book "Illuminated" is an anthology of poems on love, pain and hope . It takes you on a profound journey that mirrors deepest emotions we go through in different stages of love. (Best Seller Jun'18)
My next book "2009" is a poetic short story inspired from true events. Its dark, raw and relatable. It explores the human reaction to opportunities, commitment, love, empathy and inner strength
The writer takes you on a journey about love. Every page for me I felt like I was with the writer feeling his emotions in his journey. Amazing and talented writer.
It was hard for me to review a poetry book, but I enjoyed reading this and was able to relate to some of the poems. It was emotionally touching.
I love the simplicity of the poems, though I find Smell of You really weird. The rhythmic pattern for some of the poems are not so good. I don't know if the author intentionally did that, but that kind of ruined it for me.
My favorites were, Fights, Presence, Not A Break Up, You Are My Confidence, and I Feel You
All in all, I still think this was a good poetry book.
I am not an expert on how poem writing. I can tell you that I did enjoy Aditya's collection of poems in the Illuminated. His collection covers mostly love in all forms with emotions. My favorite ones are "Fights", "Hold Her Finger", and "Sculptors".

This was a nice collection of poems around the topic of love - many were very relatable and hit close to home. There is definitely something for everyone in this book that mirrors what you might be going through at the time.
This book of poems captured how love is beautiful and yet painful at times. There were several poems I really enjoyed. One drawback for me was some poems could have flowed better. I think this was a great first piety book for Aditya
There were some great lines throughout some of the poems but i felt like oftentimes the rhyming structure was incredibly repetitive and occasionally felt forced. probably wouldn’t recommend this to anyone in their mid-twenties, maybe someone much younger? Read this mostly because i won it in a goodreads giveaway.
~Disclaimer: I received a free kindle copy of this book.~
Poetry is a rather subjective medium, so feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt.
There was a lot of rhyming poetry in this book. I don’t see too much of that these days. I can see why it fell out of favor as it can be rather limiting. Some of the poems didn’t hold onto the rhyme very well to the end and that was jarring and others seemed like the author was stretching to come up with something that rhymed and that messed with the flow as well. If you like rhyming poetry you might enjoy it. The poems without rhymes still didn’t resonate with me. They just felt a bit clunky to read out loud.
There was a phrase “You may think I behind excuses” (pg. 39) which felt like an editing mistake. It feels like it should have an additional word there. If it was intentional it was very awkward.
I do feel this was a cohesive poetry collection. It felt much more cohesive than many a poetry book I’ve read.
(I received kindle cope of the poetry from Goodreads giveaway)
2.5 stars
Not as memorable as I had hoped it would be. Although there were some lines that are relatable, they were overshadowed by the author trying to rhyme, which takes you out of the story. Other than that the story was about unconstitutional and endless love 🙄
Lots of potential for some really powerful poems, but unfortunately many poems’ focus on rhyme scheme got in the way of the readability. Some really great lines, but they were few and far between. Not my favorite.
I won this as a part of a good reads giveaway. This was a quick read, great for a rainy day. I really enjoyed the realness of these poems. This was not the typical idealize love story poems, it felt real and relatable. My favorite poem was "I feel you"
While Illuminated showcased a decent selection of poems by the author, for me they were not memorable enough, that does not mean that each entry was terrible it just did not resound with me. I do feel each entry is worth reading, with love as the bases for some of them I think that everyone should read the book and formulate their own opinion.
