When a teacher learns that Danny has epilepsy, she bans him--though he is quite athletic--from gymnastics and swimming and Danny retaliates by creating as much mischief as he can
Unfortunately now quite out of date, but when it was written, it was a very good introduction for elementary school-aged kids on what epilepsy is and how just because a classmate may have epilepsy doesn't mean they need to treat them any different than anyone else. A very good matter-of-fact book.
Years ago this book helped me come to terms with my husband's epilepsy and to understand more about it and to help dismantle the stigma around it. Even though this sounds so quaint, my husband is still not happy to reveal the fact that he has epilepsy and doesn't like to discuss it.
