Shark Bait

Rate this book
What does it take to break a loan shark? What if he's already broken?

Vincent:
I'm vicious. Ruthless. Every f*cker in London fears me. And she has the b*llocks to walk into my warehouse? Jess is begging to be shark bait.

She's looking for her brother. And for trouble. He went missing after stirring sh*t I didn't need. Now she's doing the same. She can't find out what happened. She can't leave.

I point my gun between her innocent blue eyes, and I'm hit with the unthinkable.

The trouble is mine. I've no choice but to take her.

Her beautiful face could warm a cold-hearted killer. But she can't get into a heart that isn't there, can she?

Jess:
He knows my brother. The b*stard knows what happened. Vincent can lie. He can scare me. Take me. But I'll figure it out.

And him. That's his mistake. He let me live.

Those dark eyes hide a lot. But they reveal more than he'd like me to know. The big, bad loan shark can't fool me. I might be naive, but I'm sharp enough see what lies beneath. He's broken, and he can't hide from himself.

I'll tear open those cracks. I have to. He's the only chance to find my brother. It's the only way to save myself.

He can't hide the truth forever, can he?

This was one of those books that was darkish. Vincent was a violent guy, but that didn't have anything to do with his treatment of Jess. At first he seemed like a complete psycho but quickly softened. He held Jess captive but didn't treat her badly. Their relationship had a strong insta-love feel. They didn't have enough meaningful interactions for their feelings to seem real.

Ok

Ok read. Lots of graphic violence with throat slitting and cutting off of male anatomy.

Vincent is one ruthless dude! He sure has a huge reputation. He shows all his badness even to Jess, but somehow she sees another side to him. She gets spooked but comes around.

Ok read

Read It

This is the first time that I have came across one of Brit Vosper's books. I have recently started reading mafia romance books and I saw Shark Bait, read the blurb and decided to try it. You should know that I read at least 2 to 3 books a week,I'm very picky when it comes to reading. I always know within the first few chapters if I'm going to like the book or not, then I have authors that I'm loyal to and read all their books. So, on to the review; from the beginning of this book I was sucked in. I was in their world, surrounded by the places the character's were and experiencing all their emotions. This is essential for me whenever I read a book. I didn't really like Vincent at first,he took pleasure in others pain and seemed emotionless but my feelings drastically changed over the course of the book. I loved that Jess was innocent, always tried to find the good inside a person, had so much compassion but she was still strong. When Vincent was around her,he felt things that he couldn't explain because he had basically become numb as a person. Joe,sweet Joe,he worked for Vincent and was his best friend and confidant. He kept trying to push Vincent and Jess together. Now I'm not giving anything away. This book has action, romance, suspense and is funny at times. I thought I'd have trouble because its about a British Mafia(understanding certain terms), not a problem. I was to wrapped up in the story. I will definitely be following this author now. Now you go read this book. Outstanding job Brit

Neither a Borrower or a Lender Be

A fast paced, suspenseful great page turner, with a gripping storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat from the outset! A typical Brit Vosper Mafia read that you will want to read in one sitting! I just love all of this superb authors books, they are better than watching any best seller movie! You will never guess the endings that keep you in suspense to the very end! Every emotion I felt whilst reading this magnificent book, fear, love, joy, sadness, I cried so many times for Vincent and Jessica in their story! But still I couldn’t put this book down! I highly recommend the best book I have read in a long time.

British Mafia

This is the first book I've read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I liked how Vincent could be one scary alpha male one minute and then being able to let his guard down the next. I liked how the author made his character have real life issues like dealing with OCD and anxiety. He made him seem more real. Jess was cool because even though she seemed naive she also could read people really well. If you enjoy mafia, some suspense, mixed with romance then you'll definitely enjoy this one.

"I received an exclusive ARC copy of this book"
Jess just wanted to find her twin that was missing for six months so she decided to go the the loan shark Vincent to ask since her bro owed him money. So much happened. A dark book but loved it. Mafia type of book had some mystery and drama. Loved the ending!! Really good read.
