Renee wasn’t looking for love or anything else of substance. In fact, she fully expected to die soon. Renee had been suffering from metastasized cancer for two years and her doctors had told her there was nothing more they could do. She chose to stop the chemotherapy and radiation, intent on living her life to its fullest and going out with a bang. She makes a bucket list and sets out to fulfill it.
Renee had always had a curiosity about having a relationship with a woman. Her luck with men was abominable, but her upbringing had stopped her from exploring another path. As fate would have it, she met the unconventional Kelly at a bar in Seattle. The beautifully tattooed, motorcycle riding lady made her life complicated. A wonderful one-night stand put a new check beside the first item on her bucket list, but there was more to the hot woman than just a sexy hook up. They met again under far different circumstances. Rough around the edges, Kelly didn’t resemble the brilliant doctor she was. Could she save Renee? If she did, where would that leave their relationship? Renee had never meant to spend more than one hot night with Kelly.

This book was so sweet and undeniably hot at the same time. Kelly seems like someone you would fall for without intending to and that is what made the characters love believable. I just wish that the book could have been longer- maybe until death or a happy long life with the love they deserved. Hopefully they would have lasted, if the shooting stars were any indication.
I was gonna pass on reading this book because of the cover but the characters are nothing like they are portrayed on the cover, so just give this short book a try. You won’t be wasting much if you do and still won’t like it.
Excellent romantic lesbian love story. Very well written and very hard not to read in one sitting. Sorry I got to the end as I would have loved it to be continued.
I think this is one of those short stories that was meant to be a full length novel. The combination of summarizing and third person POV made it feel more detached than it could have been, especially considering the MC has terminal cancer.
Blanketed in romance, layered with moments of heartache , yet tosses in plenty of hope and care ❤ This short story left me teary eyed and feeling joyful !
Nice and easy book to read took me less than a hour really enjoyed it and so romantic I kinda want a Kelly myself as she sounds hot but I enjoyed the book so much gonna give this author's books a try
