This book gave me a glimpse into the different ways God's word can change me as I meandered through the pages of this 90-day devotional written by Elisa Pulliam. Elisa's gentle words encouraged me, highlighting a theme verse each day that went along with a story she wrote about her life. Her tender words in the story encouraged me to go deeper by reading the scripture mentioned after the story. The written prayer in each devotional sounds like a prayer I could have been speaking for the first time and so very personal. Each day ends with a Reflection containing a question or two for answering privately and applying to life ~ a great idea for someone like me who loves to journal! Overall, I found this book one that I will continue to read again. I believe it will be so helpful for someone who has never used a devotional before as well as for those who have plenty. It is well written with a heart of warmth and compassion for the reader. Elisa’s close relationship with God is very evident within its pages. The companion Unblinded Faith Journal, available for purchase in addition to this book, is already filled up with my journaling thoughts as I went through the book!

This devotional has been a breath of fresh air in the midst of busy days with little ones. Each day is short enough for me to read in the school pick-up line but does not sacrifice content for the sake of brevity. The days’ reflections lead me back to the Word, encouraging me to examine my own heart and thought patterns, and ultimately bringing me back to the heart of my God. Elisa shares her own life stories and is incredibly open, honest, and humble even about the not-so-glamorous parts of her past. This devotional is an incredible compilation of her gifting in sharing and interpreting the Word, in addition to her humble heart for God and for women. While I did receive an advanced copy of the digital book in exchange for my honest review, I have already purchased additional copies to give as gifts to my family and friends!

Unblinded Faith is yet another gift of the heart from Elisa Pulliam. Through the honest and transparent story of her spiritual journey, Elisa shares how God used the very painful details of her past to draw her to Him and change her life. In simple but profound daily readings, she makes it clear that each of us can not only love and know God, but that He loves us and has a unique plan for our lives. As each daily theme unfolded, it was exciting and motivating to see how God was going to challenge me to believe His promises for my life. There is no question that this 90-day devotional has the ability to change lives. And the great thing is that there is no previous spiritual knowledge required! If you are desiring to know God and have your faith stirred and "unblinded", then this devotional is for you!

Not your average devotional. Not only will it help you get into the Word, but it will help you get the Word into your life. With thought provoking questions and personal stories, you can't help but dig deeper. You will find yourself looking forward to the next day's devotional and not just viewing it as a task to check off.

I have been needing to get back into spending time in His word and this devotional came at just the right time! I love how each devotional is short and sweet but delivers quite the punch! It's also nice that you don't have to read straight through it, and you can spend as much time in it as you need. This book is helping me get back into that routine that I desperately need!

Unblinded Faith
I find that this really resonates for me!
Trust me, some days I tell God I wish trouble would find someone else to hang out with.
*Maybe you are craving a stabilizing force in your life as the trails are breaking upon you like ocean waves before a storm. (pg. 12)
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NRSVACE)8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
Somedays It seems no matter what I do or how hard I try every possible distraction and interruption or awkward situation has to find itself to me or try to get me involved in situations or circumstances that I truly just want to avoid seriously.
I have been trying to be okay with the fact that I am an introvert.
Who is so very easily distracted and people are so amazingly adept at pulling you into their stuff regardless of the fact you are not interested, for some reason especially my parents and other members of the family.

So as I reflect on what works for me finding some peace of mind I would like to recommend Unblinded Faith as a go to.
Do yourself a favor and see if you agree?

Unblinded Faith is an amazing devotional that takes you deeper into the Lord’s Word. Each day Elisa's shares with you the truth of scripture and how the Lord has worked in her life. At the end of each story, there is a scripture reading and a question that relates to her story and takes you even deeper into your relationship with the Lord. Unblinded Faith brings you hope through Elisa’s experiences that she has learned through her own walk with God, and encourages us that through our own faith the Lord will also work in us. Even more helpful is the resources that are easy to download and start using right away. This devotional has helped me draw closer to Jesus and is one that I will use over and over again.
