His compositions were chosen by two nations as national anthems: India's Jana Gana Mana and Bangladesh's Amar Shonar Bangla.

আশানুরূপ নহে! এটা অবলম্বনে একটা মুভি বানানো হইছে..সেটা অত্যন্ত ভালো লেগেছে।

শেষটা অপ্রত্যাশিত হলেও প্রথম থেকেই ভালো লাগেনি।

রবি ঠাকুর গোয়েন্দা গল্প লিখেছেন এটা জানার পরের দিনই আমি আর দেরি না করে গল্পটি পড়ে ফেলি “বইঘর” নামক একটি ইবুক রিডারে।
গল্পটি পড়ার আগে ভেবেছিলাম তৎকালীন কোনো বিষয় নিয়ে গল্পটি হবে। কিন্তু আমাকে সম্পূর্ণ অবাক করে দিলেন রবি ঠাকুর। গল্পটির বাচনভঙ্গি, লিখনশৈলী ভালোই ছিল। আর ছোটগল্প হওয়ার দরুণ চরিত্রগুলো ভালোভাবে চিত্রিত হওয়ার সুযোগ নেই যা একটি স্বাভাবিক বিষয়।
যাই হোক, গল্পটির কাহিনী অতীব দুর্বল। সত্যি বলতে, এই গল্পটি যে একটি গোয়েন্দা গল্প তা বিশ্বাস করতেই আমার কষ্ট হচ্ছে।
বর্তমানে অনেক লেখকরা নিজেদের বাজার রক্ষার জন্য থ্রিলার, গোয়েন্দা, রহস্য গল্প লিখেন কিন্তু এই গল্পটি পড়ার পর মনে হলো তাঁরা একা নন, রবি ঠাকুরও সেই একই পথের পথিক হতে চেয়েছিলেন।
গল্পটি পড়ার আগে ভেবেছিলাম তৎকালীন কোনো বিষয় নিয়ে গল্পটি হবে। কিন্তু আমাকে সম্পূর্ণ অবাক করে দিলেন রবি ঠাকুর। গল্পটির বাচনভঙ্গি, লিখনশৈলী ভালোই ছিল। আর ছোটগল্প হওয়ার দরুণ চরিত্রগুলো ভালোভাবে চিত্রিত হওয়ার সুযোগ নেই যা একটি স্বাভাবিক বিষয়।
