Interisting but very different from the first book

4.5 stars - I was pretty excited to see how things were going for everyone after the way things played out in the previous book. While that book centered around Ryder and Drake, this focuses on Niko and Corey. You really need to read that first book to understand where each of these guys came from, how they came to be together, and what they mean to each other. Corey was one of the “escorts” held captive under Ryder’s rule with Niko being one of Ryder’s enforcers. But Niko and Corey had feelings pretty early on, and their relationship grew despite their environment and circumstances. Now, they are sort of in hiding hoping to keep off the authorities’ radar for reasons that are obvious if you know the back story.
Unfortunately, it seems someone has tracked them down and has been sending messages to Niko threatening Corey. Niko will do anything to keep Corey safe, and it is in one of his absences while he is following a lead that Corey meets Grant.
Grant is an officer on the same force as Drake and was one of Drake’s best friends. He always stood up for Drake and had his back, so when Drake up and disappeared after the raid that helped save him, Grant had to find out if he was ok, not believing he willingly walked off into the sunset with Ryder. His search for Drake led him to Corey (and Niko), so he uses the opportunity to get close enough to learn about Drake. However, he doesn’t count on actually falling for Corey, or his big boyfriend for that matter.
What I loved about this match up was that we had three guys who all had similar concerns but each one was coming from a different direction. Grant was obviously going to feel like the odd man out since Niko and Corey were in an established relationship, but that was addressed, just as Corey needing to feel like an equal partner with Niko (again, this is more important based on their past). They took their time while the attraction grew until it spontaneously combusted. I also loved seeing Corey and Niko making a life for themselves, and it was great to see Ryder and Drake doing the same.
We are introduced to some new characters as well. Niko’s friend, Clay, seems to have met his match with the sassy computer geek, Sam, who seems like the perfect person to put Clay in his place. I can’t wait to read more about these two, and am definitely looking forward to the next installment of this series.

Ho iniziato la serie col secondo libro quindi alcuni fatti mi sfuggivano ma sono comunque riuscita a seguire la storia. All’inizio lo stile di scrittura dell’autore non mi piaceva molto, ma poi ho iniziato a farmi prendere dalla storia e la lettura ha iniziato a scorrere. Mi è piaciuto come lo scrittore ha descritto il lento coinvolgimento dei tre personaggi e come ad un certo punto si sono resi conto di non volersi lasciare.

"Non sono un puritano nel modo più assoluto, ma pensare di sentire Corey e Niko insieme mi provoca delle strane sensazioni che ho bisogno di ignorare. No, non mi ecciterò pensando a Corey e Niko che si divertono, o almeno questo è quello di cui sto cercando di convincermi con ostinazione. Da quando ho messo piede in questo posto sono subito stato attratto da Corey, ma, andiamo, chi non lo sarebbe? È bellissimo e divertente e, anche se è off-limits, questo non impedisce al mio uccello di reagire quando è nei paraggi. Quello che non mi aspettavo è che anche un bestione come Niko potesse farmi palpitare il cuore. Quando mi sono voltato ritrovandomelo alle spalle non sono riuscito a distogliere lo sguardo dalla sua figura che, con la sua presenza, ha reso la cucina improvvisamente più piccola. È fottutamente stupendo in un modo così rude. È alto, ha delle spalle ampie e sexy e un atteggiamento sbruffone che ha subito trovato una connessione con le parti del mio corpo che adorano ricevere ordini."

Il libro di cui vi voglio parlare oggi è il secondo capitolo della serie Urdercover di T.A. McKay dal titolo Insospettabile, che si apre subito dopo il travolgente finale di Sotto copertura.
Grant, l’amico e collega poliziotto di Drake, vede finire la sua carriera per essersi fidato e non aver capito come stessero le cose. La polizia ha bisogno di un capro espiatorio per la scomparsa di un poliziotto sotto copertura e, dato che l’operazione era sotto il suo controllo, Grant è la persona che può essere sacrificata. Per lui comincia così un’indagine personale, pensa di sapere come siano andate le cose, ma è intenzionato a sapere e scoprire cosa ne sia stato di Drake, a ogni costo. Si sente colpevole per non averlo aiutato di più, non aver ammesso la sua omosessualità e averlo lasciato solo a combattere l’omofobia dei colleghi, e per questo vuole la certezza che sia al sicuro. Purtroppo però le prove sono scomparse, lui dopo mesi di vane ricerche si sta quasi arrendendo, anche perché i suoi risparmi sono finiti, e ad aiutarlo ha solo Sam, un uomo capace di fare miracoli con un computer. Prima di arrendersi, ha un’ultima pista: Corey, uno dei gigolò che lavorava per la stessa organizzazione che Drake doveva distruggere, le ultime informazioni trovate da Sam lo danno in un piccolo paesino della Scozia. Una volta giunto sul posto, scovarlo non sarà facile, il giovane è protetto da Niko, l’uomo che lo ama e che farebbe qualunque cosa per lui. Solo una fortunata circostanza lo mette in contatto col dolcissimo ragazzo, ma una volta conosciutolo per Grant le cose cambiano improvvisamente e si sente in colpa. Conoscere Niko, poi, risveglia in lui un lato sottomesso che non sapeva di avere, mentre Corey gli entra nel cuore senza che lui possa fare nulla per impedirlo. Ma se scoprissero la sua identità tutto questo finirebbe, e inoltre qualcuno dal loro passato li sta minacciando, risvegliando in Niko il suo lato più pericoloso.
Se nel primo capitolo il lettore percepiva il pericolo a ogni giro di pagina, questo secondo libro è molto più dolce e rilassante. È vero, sappiamo che un pericolo incombe su questi due personaggi che tanto hanno sofferto, ma la loro è una storia d’amore intensa e appassionante. Vediamo un Niko incredibilmente protettivo, che sta cercando in ogni modo di scoprire chi li abbia individuati anche con le loro nuove identità. Nonostante sappia che Corey detesta essere tenuto all’oscuro, fa il possibile per evitare di raccontare quanto la situazione sia grave, e quanto siano crudeli e minacciose le e-mail che continua a ricevere, pure se si sono più volte spostati. C’è un nemico elusivo che sembra avvicinarsi a loro sempre più, nonostante Niko abbia chiesto aiuto ad amici fedeli. L’arrivo di Grant lo mette subito in allarme eppure non può fare a meno di provare un’inaspettata attrazione per quell’uomo, attrazione che si rende conta prova nei suoi confronti anche Corey. Ma, cosa ancora più strana, è la certezza che sente dentro di sé, che lo porta a credere che Grant sarebbe disposto come lui a fare qualsiasi cosa per la salvezza di Corey. Ma purtroppo sarà proprio il desiderio di entrambi di proteggerlo dalla verità che metterà il giovane in grave pericolo.
È un ménage molto appassionante, che ha dei momenti di grande dolcezza quello che ci racconta la McKay, dandoci però anche azione e attimi di grande angoscia verso il finale che ci farà trovare di fronte a un nemico davvero spietato. Pagine che ci faranno temere per questi personaggi che riescono a entrare nel cuore del lettore. Un ragazzo dolcissimo e due uomini estremamente protettivi, personalità diverse che si completano e che insieme danno vita a un rapporto molto ben bilanciato, che si prende il giusto tempo per maturare e diventare anche fisico. Le scene erotiche sono intense e molto ben scritte, la parte suspense regala forti emozioni, ed è davvero molto piacevole rivedere i protagonisti del libro precedente giungere in aiuto, così come troverete divertenti le interazioni fra Clay, l’amico di Niko, e Sam. Ancora una volta l’autrice riesce a intrigare regalandoci amore e suspense.

This book had me mesmerised from the very first page...
The story had captured my imagination, and l was intrigued enough to want to know more.
The story was about three men, all with a common thread ,each with a different perspective.
We are taken on a rollercoaster of emotions , as they all live out their fears.
The need for revenge, to protect at all cost, to run , to hide , to survive.
The story was a slow burn, slowly building with so much attraction and chemistry.
The steadily rising tensions, the sexual chemistry burning hot,
and 3 gorgeous men all feeling the pull.
3 very different men, 3 men that complemented and completed each others needs.
They wanted to belong, to feel strong and dominant and equal all at once.
Corey, a gorgeous young man with a tender heart, despite a past filled with horrors.
Niko, a strong alpha male, a protector, a fighter, with intense love for his man,
and feelings of failure at each step.
Grant, an ex police officer, feeling tons of guilt for betraying his best friend
and determined to find the missing man at any cost.
As the web tightens, and the men are forced into confined places,
and unexpected situations, all hell breaks loose.
Who will survive the fighting, and who will survive the lure of temptation.
There was so much anger , heartbreak and excitement in this thrilling story,that l didn't want it to end.
It is so beautifuly written that you feel your heart racing and rejoicing the whole time.

What can I say about this book? Having not read Undercover I thought I would be a little lost in this follow up, even though I was told it could be read as a standalone, well how wrong can I be.
Nico and Corey have this amazing relationship but, with the past threatening to come back and haunt them, Nico knows he must put a stop to it once and for all.
Grant, being suspended from his job in the police, decides he must go and search for his missing friend Drake who disappeared for no reason at the end of an undercover job. Grant knows Corey is the only link to finding Drake so he makes his move on getting close to him while Nico is away, what he didn’t expect to do was slowly fall in love with Corey. He knows he has a boyfriend, and he knows he really should be just using him to find out where Drake is, but when Nico comes back, all mean and moody at Corey moving Grant in, he finds he’s attracted to Nico too. This is a super hot, intriguing, mystery suspense with some god damn hot sex in it.
Will Grant find Drake? Will he let on to Corey and Nico he has feelings for them both? Are they starting to have feelings for him?
I loved how this story had twists and turns in it but also loved the love aspect. Yes it did refer back to the life before in Undercover but nothing that would stop you reading, and enjoying, this as a standalone. If anything it makes you want to go read it more, so I’ve already one clicked to see where the story began. Well done Tracey another amazing book.

Quando circa un anno fa avevo chiuso il primo libro della serie Undercover, non vedevo l’ora che pubblicassero il successivo, ovvero Insospettabile. La coppia formata da Nico e Corey, che alla fine del primo libro riusciva a scappare per poter finalmente vivere un amore che per anni era dovuto rimanere nascosto a tutto e a tutti, mi aveva davvero commossa. I due non avevano avuto una vita facile. Corey era solo una “lettera” e, pertanto, doveva sottostare alle voglie più disparate di chi pagava per avere a disposizione il suo corpo e la sua anima. Niko, invece, legato dal suo ruolo di guardia del corpo delle “lettere” e braccio destro del capo, non poteva fare nient’altro che cercare di difenderlo nei modi più disparati possibili, per non essere scoperto e separato in modo definitivo da quel dolce ragazzo che gli aveva fatto sperare nell’amore dopo anni in cui la sua vita era stata solo un enorme buco nero. Ma, come spesso accade nei romanzi d’amore, alla fine di “Sotto copertura” grazie a Ryden, protagonista del libro precedente, i due riescono a sottrarsi alla retata della polizia e fuggono per realizzare il loro desiderio di amore. In questo libro li ritroviamo mentre si spostano da una parte all’altra dell’Inghilterra, perché perseguitati da qualcuno che si nasconde nell’ombra e che vuole vederli morti. Come avrete capito leggendo la trama del romanzo, in questo libro non ci saranno solo due protagonisti, no, alla loro coppia si aggiungerà Grant, un poliziotto che, sulle tracce del suo migliore amico, giungerà alla loro porta per cercare di scoprire cosa sia realmente accaduto durante la retata della polizia, raccontando mezze verità e occultando parecchie informazioni.
L’incontro tra i tre è quanto meno esplosivo, Niko che ama Corey in un modo che definire totale sarebbe riduttivo, si sente subito attratto da questo giovane che sa per certo non essere sincero. Corey, che è riuscito a superare le brutture a cui era esposto nel suo lavoro, solo grazie all’amore che prova per Nico, avverte per Grant una sensazione di complicità e attrazione che supera di gran lunga tutto ciò che ha provato fino a quel momento. E Grant?, beh, lui è stupito ed esterrefatto di provare attrazione e desiderio per due uomini completamente diversi e opposti tra loro. Lui che non ha mai fatto parte di nulla, si sente all’improvviso parte di un qualcosa e contemporaneamente un ostacolo a quel qualcosa. Prova a scappare da quello che sente più di una volta, ma l’attrazione che prova per entrambi gli uomini è più forte di lui.
“Il mio cuore è impazzito, ho difficoltà a far star fermo il mio corpo. Merda, devo uscire da qui. Il bisogno di scappare è sempre più forte…”
Quello che colpisce, o meglio che mi ha colpita per tutto il libro è il forte senso di protezione che sia Niko, sia Grant, nutrono per Corey. Entrambi sono disposti a fare di tutto affinché il giovane sia sereno e circondato dall’amore, dal loro amore. Anche tutti i segreti e le bugie che i due uomini raccontano al giovane, sono parte di un piano per farlo sentire al sicuro e amato anche quando la minaccia è sempre più vicina a minare la loro recente relazione. Ma, a mio parere, entrambi fanno l’errore di sottovalutare la forza d’animo di Corey, che con la sua innata gioia di vivere, secondo me, risulta essere il più forte tra loro. Non ho letto moltissimi libri di questo genere e devo dire che forse, aver reso i personaggi di Niko e Grant così “fragili” mi ha fatto apprezzare un po’ di più la relazione a tre. Perché tutti loro avevano bisogno di compensare i loro difetti e i loro pregi con quelli degli altri. Consiglio il libro in quanto, nonostante si tratti di una storia non convenzionale, racconta una storia d’amore bella e dolce. Interessante è anche la parte gialla che l’autrice ha saputo ben sviluppare creando il giusto mix di suspense. La lettura è scorrevole e il lavoro di editing accurato, come sempre.

La coppia formata da Nico e Corey, che alla fine del primo libro riusciva a scappare per poter finalmente vivere un amore che per anni era dovuto rimanere nascosto a tutto e a tutti, mi aveva davvero commossa. I due non avevano avuto una vita facile. Corey era solo una “lettera” e, pertanto, doveva sottostare alle voglie più disparate di chi pagava per avere a disposizione il suo corpo e la sua anima. Niko, invece, legato dal suo ruolo di guardia del corpo delle “lettere” e braccio destro del capo, non poteva fare nient’altro che cercare di difenderlo nei modi più disparati possibili, per non essere scoperto e separato in modo definitivo da quel dolce ragazzo che gli aveva fatto sperare nell’amore dopo anni in cui la sua vita era stata solo un enorme buco nero. Ma, come spesso accade nei romanzi d’amore, alla fine di “Sotto copertura” grazie a Ryden, protagonista del libro precedente, i due riescono a sottrarsi alla retata della polizia e fuggono per realizzare il loro desiderio di amore. In questo libro li ritroviamo mentre si spostano da una parte all’altra dell’Inghilterra, perché perseguitati da qualcuno che si nasconde nell’ombra e che vuole vederli morti. Come avrete capito leggendo la trama del romanzo, in questo libro non ci saranno solo due protagonisti, no, alla loro coppia si aggiungerà Grant, un poliziotto che, sulle tracce del suo migliore amico, giungerà alla loro porta per cercare di scoprire cosa sia realmente accaduto durante la retata della polizia, raccontando mezze verità e occultando parecchie informazioni.
L’incontro tra i tre è quanto meno esplosivo, Niko che ama Corey in un modo che definire totale sarebbe riduttivo, si sente subito attratto da questo giovane che sa per certo non essere sincero. Corey, che è riuscito a superare le brutture a cui era esposto nel suo lavoro, solo grazie all’amore che prova per Nico, avverte per Grant una sensazione di complicità e attrazione che supera di gran lunga tutto ciò che ha provato fino a quel momento. E Grant?, beh, lui è stupito ed esterrefatto di provare attrazione e desiderio per due uomini completamente diversi e opposti tra loro. Lui che non ha mai fatto parte di nulla, si sente all’improvviso parte di un qualcosa e contemporaneamente un ostacolo a quel qualcosa. Prova a scappare da quello che sente più di una volta, ma l’attrazione che prova per entrambi gli uomini è più forte di lui.
“Il mio cuore è impazzito, ho difficoltà a far star fermo il mio corpo. Merda, devo uscire da qui. Il bisogno di scappare è sempre più forte…”
Quello che colpisce, o meglio che mi ha colpita per tutto il libro è il forte senso di protezione che sia Niko, sia Grant, nutrono per Corey. Entrambi sono disposti a fare di tutto affinché il giovane sia sereno e circondato dall’amore, dal loro amore. Anche tutti i segreti e le bugie che i due uomini raccontano al giovane, sono parte di un piano per farlo sentire al sicuro e amato anche quando la minaccia è sempre più vicina a minare la loro recente relazione. Ma, a mio parere, entrambi fanno l’errore di sottovalutare la forza d’animo di Corey, che con la sua innata gioia di vivere, secondo me, risulta essere il più forte tra loro. Non ho letto moltissimi libri di questo genere e devo dire che forse, aver reso i personaggi di Niko e Grant così “fragili” mi ha fatto apprezzare un po’ di più la relazione a tre. Perché tutti loro avevano bisogno di compensare i loro difetti e i loro pregi con quelli degli altri. Consiglio il libro in quanto, nonostante si tratti di una storia non convenzionale, racconta una storia d’amore bella e dolce. Interessante è anche la parte gialla che l’autrice ha saputo ben sviluppare creando il giusto mix di suspense. La lettura è scorrevole e il lavoro di editing accurato, come sempre.

Niko e Corey sono in fuga, vivono ai margini della società, cercano di non attirare l’attenzione e si chiudono in una forzata solitudine. Qualcuno li minaccia e Niko è fermamente deciso a scoprire chi li cerca. Ora che finalmente sono liberi di vivere il loro amore, non ha intenzione di permettere al resto del mondo di distruggerli. Dopo tutto quello che Corey ha dovuto sopportare alla Blue Diamond, non riesce ad accettare nulla se non il sorriso sul volto del giovane uomo che ha fatto breccia nel suo cuore.
Corey vive in una perenne attesa, aspettando che Niko ritorni, soffrendo per le sue assenze sempre più lunghe. Non lo dice, si fa bastare i momenti di passione che passano insieme, ma la solitudine lo sta lentamente logorando e il pensiero che Niko gli tenga nascosta la gravità della situazione non fa che accentuare le sue paure.
È proprio mentre Niko è lontano che Corey incontra Grant, un ragazzo in viaggio, alla ricerca di un amico perduto, che si sloga una caviglia cadendo in un fossato durante un temporale. Corey ha un cuore grande ed è un personaggio dolcissimo quindi non risulta impossibile che, nonostante la situazione sospetta, si faccia carico dell’invalido e lo conduca nella sua casa.
L’amicizia tra Corey e Grant si rafforza ogni giorno di più. Il primo pensa di aver trovato una persona di cui fidarsi, un vero amico che non gli farebbe mai del male, un uomo da cui è attratto nonostante l’amore folle per Niko. Il secondo ha uno scopo preciso: trovare informazioni sul suo amico Drake, il poliziotto sotto copertura alla Blue Diamond, e assicurarsi che sia felice e al sicuro. Passando sempre più tempo con Corey, però, Grant non può fare a meno di legarsi al ragazzo e le bugie che è costretto a raccontare diventano sempre più un peso sul cuore.

Si fanno due passi avanti e tre indietro, i dubbi e le paure sono sempre al centro della relazione e la crescita dei personaggi c’è ma è annebbiata da tutta questa incertezza.
Avrei preferito leggere più azione, più decisione. È un controsenso; Corey è stato una “puttana” tra le mani di uomini che l’hanno picchiato e costretto a fare qualsiasi cosa, ma è lui il più forte del trio, quello che spinge per andare avanti, quello che mette in moto tutto. Grant è un poliziotto e Niko una guardia che per Ryden ha ucciso, terrorizzato, picchiato, ma entrambi si presentano molto deboli, sempre indecisi, emotivamente fragili, troppo impegnati a non creare troppo dolore a Corey per rendersi conto di quante occasioni stanno perdendo.
È una buona lettura, ma a mio avviso tagliando qualcosa qua e aggiungendo un po’ di passione là, avrebbe potuto essere ottima.

Another brilliant read!
Having read book one and thinking it was fantastic I didn't expect this one to be just as gripping if not better but it was.
The Niko we saw in book one was in love with Corey but they didn't have a normal start to their relationship. They are now more settled until someone finds them. Niko has a blinding need to protect Corey that gets him in to trouble.
Corey fell on love with the big powerful Niko and his heart is full. He just wishes Niko would talk to him rather than hiding thing to try and protect him.
Grant watched Drake walk away from him in the compound and has wondered ever since why he didn't come back. Knowing that his time in the police service is over Grant quits. He spends all his time looking for Drake.
These three men meet and the attraction shocks them all but they can't give up on it. As the trouble gets closer these men have to overcome that before they can work on being who they are meant to be together.
It was wonderful to revisit Ryden and Drake and also meet some new characters like Clay and Sam. I do hope we will hear more fro these men as it's been fum and emotional being back in their world with them.
This book is well written and has an exciting plot that keeps you turning the page. The characters are captivating and its easy to get lost in them. Oh yes and the action is very, very hot on the tub, bathroom, kitchen.... Well wherever these men are is hot! Can't recommend this book strongly enough.

Corey è stata una lettera, Niko è stato il suo guardiano nonchè il gorilla di Ryden. Stanno scappando e si stanno nascondendo. Il passato però li ha raggiunti. Chi è che manda le mail? E' qualcuno del passato di Corey o di Niko?. Chi è che vuol far loro del male? Ed ecco apparire Grant, chi è? Un amico o un nemico? Lui vuole solo sapere come sta il suo amico Drake e loro hanno la risposta. Quando sapranno la verità sulla sua missione si arrabbieranno e rimarranno delusi. Nel frattempo succede qualcosa che nessuno di loro tre si aspettava. Si innamorano. Per gran parte del tempo mi sono piaciuti tutti e tre, Corey che il più fragile e il più dolce, Niko che è un "omone" rude ma di cuore che deve proteggere Corey e tutto il peso dei problemi sta sulle sue spalle e Grant che si integra pian piano tra di loro. Unica nota che mi ha dato fastidio è stato Grant, troppo insicuro, troppi dubbi, troppa voglia di scappare. Capisco la situazione particolare, capisco la difficoltà che ci poteva essere... ma questo suo scappo o non scappo per tutto il tempo mi ha infastidito. Per fortuna che Niko ha preso in mano la situazione eheheheh. Bello!

Grant has been alone with no family, and he leaves the police force to search for his missing friend. Corey had been forced into a life of prostitution until he was rescued by Niko, a man who didn't care about anything after a tragedy in his past - until he fell in love with Corey. When Grant finds out Corey might be a link to his missing friend Drake, he insinuates himself into Corey's life and, unintentionally, into his home. There is an immediate attraction between the two, and when Niko returns home after being away investigating emailed threats against Corey, the attraction extends to him as well. Each of these tortured souls need and deserve the love the other two men can provide, but there are lies and fears keeping them apart. I couldn't stop reading until I found out if they would be able to make their unusual relationship work. There is violence, but I believe it fits in with the lives the men have experienced up to that point. I love this story and these men, and I recommend this painful, emotional, but ultimately hopeful story.

Il protagonista, Grant, condivide la scena con altri due uomini, fidanzati tra loro, Corey e Niko. Ognuno di loro ha la possibilità di raccontare il proprio punto di vista. Ognuno di loro regala qualcosa al romanzo, e fa capire meglio la relazione tra i tre.
L'autrice da' modo di entrare in una profonda storia d'amore, senza tralasciare un passato molto vivo, che continua ad avere conseguenze nel presente.
Il libro è scritto bene, e non fa capire la verità nascosta finché non viene svelata. Ho adorato questa cosa: non mi ha dato modo di immaginare e rimuginare, non mi ha lasciato tempo per pensare ad altro se non a quello che stavo leggendo in quel momento. Non mi interessava cercare di capire chi ci fosse dietro alle minacce, perché la narrazione è talmente piena e interessante e scottante, da non farmi distogliere il pensiero.

Where the first book had me hooked for the intensity this was more funny and angsty. I was excited about reading more of Grant after the snippet at the end of the first book.
How much he cared for Drake and turned his whole life around just to find him.
The trio had chemistry and I loved the push pull, never giving in to temptation they had most of the book. Even with insta lust, I prefer it dragging out, torturing them a bit. Which is what we got.
Where in MMM books there can be a bit too much sexual content, this book didn't have that, what was written fully were enough and it didn't take anything from the story.
Though the book was suppose to be about Grant, Corey and Niko, I can't deny that Ryden took my attention the moments he spoke. I simply love the character. And because of that, this book stands no chance in reaching up to the level of the first book in my opinion.

Undercover is one of my favorite from this author.
This is a well done menage story. Unlike others I've read, there's developement between the 3 characters and not just 2 of them as it usually is. The slow-burn helps Nico and Corey to meet Grant halfway their attraction and when they finally are together it's super HOT! They have personal issues to solve before that happens though.
It has suspense and action but not as much as book 1, and halfway through it, the bad guy becomes quite annoying that when the end arrives, you just don't care if they catch him or not, you just want that part over. Mostly Nico, Corey and Grant keep up the story by then.
Overall, I really liked it but Undercover is still my favorite. This one comes second. Of course, I look forward to Clay's story.

Really good book but
I gave it four stars because I am not crazy about triad relationships. Most people are insecure so someone will always feel left out. It is inevitable. Look at how many times Grant has tried to leave...also what was unnecessary was all the lies. There was absolutely no reason for them, not even for the sake of the story.

I loved Niko and Corey in Undercover add Grant to the hot mix and WOW!!
You get a roller coaster of emotions throughout the book with all 3 characters, the twists and turns within the story keep you reading and gripped until the last page.
Loved it. 5 star read.

I loved this book. It’s always hard to add a third to an established relationship but in this book it is done well and feels right. Grant doesn’t feel like he’s a side piece (except in his head) and the love between the three is clear. This is a great second instalment in the series.
