Amalgamation is the merging of two distinct entities to become one solidified union of thought. Robert Wright and Saderia Carter have combined this brilliant collection of rhythmic poetry and prose that is inspiring, uplifting, thought-provoking, and real. Amalgamation will immerse you in thoughts and moods, love and sorrow, condemnation and happiness, leading you on a path to self-awareness, and opening up the world around you.
This was a mixed bag of poetry-- I felt like the quality of poems ranged pretty widely, with the love poetry feeling very cliche while other pieces dealing with political topics and the like being more compelling and well-written. Many of the poems featured the same layout technique (the lines getting smaller and smaller and lining one side of the page or the other) which felt pretty worn out after seeing it in the same collection a dozen plus times.
