Lexi Balefire thought she was finished unearthing new and outrageous information about her heritage—turns out, she was dead wrong. Still reeling from the pain of ultimate betrayal, and the near-loss of her soul mate, Kin Clark, Lexi embarks on a journey through time, uncovering pieces of the Balefire family’s sordid past.
Her mother’s witch blood combined with the divine essence of her father, Cupid, makes Lexi the most powerful Fate Weaver on the planet—but she’ll need to repair the pieces of Cupid’s Bow of Destiny in order to finally claim her birthright.
The only way Lexi will succeed and keep her loved ones safe is to not get lost on her way to spell and back.

I live in Maine with my husband, a silly flufferpup named Dash, and a crazy cat named Cricket. I write full time and also create mixed media artwork when I get the chance.
When I was three, my mom brought home a new book and when she went to read it to me, I read it to her instead. That was when she realized I'd learned to read. Since then I couldn't even estimate the number of books I've read. It's a lot!

Time traveling, Lexie Balefire, is watching a battle to see what really happened on the fateful day that her family split apart. In this time period, she sees herself as a baby set in a basket on the ground. Her mother, grandmother, and father are arguing and deflecting spells. She learned that her father, Cupid, was hoping to create a more powerful Fate Weaver – Lexie was the result of that attempt through her mother’s witch blood and her father’s divine blood. When she reached the right age, he intended to teach her how to reach her highest potential. But her grandmother shoots an arrow at her daughter from Cupid’s bow; when he stepped in front of her, the arrow changed something. Sylvana became more powerful; the Bow of Destiny went up in smoke; and Cupid walked away. In the battle, Lexie’s grandmother was turned to stone and her mother was a scorch mark on the ground! Terra, a Fae, came to rescue the crying baby Lexie. Many truths were revealed to her and helped her with the path she would have to follow going forward.
It became obvious to me that I should have started this series at Book 1. I recommend that the books be read in order. Regardless, this was a good book once I caught on and got invested in the story. I definitely recommend it! The story line is good, moves along well, and the characters are well defined. That’s what I look for in a good story, and this one had those elements. Give it a try! It’s worth reading!
After book two in this series, I was bored and done, but after reading the short story and first book in the new elder witch series, I decided to follow up on this series. Unfortunately it just couldn't hold my interest and I ended up skimming it and reading the end.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
Initial Thoughts: I continue to enjoy Lexi and her fairy godmothers, and the rest of her tribe. Lexi has the Bow of Destiny, but now she needs to fix it. I enjoyed how she was able to go back and try to mend the pieces of not only the Bow but of her own secret family past. It was heartbreaking as she learned about the past Balefire witches and her own abilities. I really enjoyed the revelations and eagerly look forward to seeing how Lexi will fix the Bow and hopefully free her grandmother. Ideally like the premise if thus storyline but somewhere along the line hell gas to break loose. Perfect boyfriends are hard to find. Looking forward to the next installment.
The third in the Lexi Balefire series left me feeling ho hum. Felt like the storyline was good, but maybe not meaty enough for an entire book. It did end where I want to see what happens next, but I wish the entire book was as good as the last 20% was.
This book builds even more on Lexi Balefire’s story - It showed pieces of the Balefire history and Lexi discovered a family member, one she can trust this time. Follow along as she discovers her destiny as Fate Weaver.
Lots of issues must be dealt with and Lexi is at the heart of them all. She barely has time to keep the fires burning in her own love life. But priorities people, she is not going to let that fire burn out!
OMG, Book Three is amazing! Lexi quite literally comes into her own, and it's an amazing roller-coaster of a ride for the reader! The revelations of her past are judiciously paced, the manner in which they are revealed is so imaginative, and there's plenty of touching and humorous moments along the way. The supporting cast is so much more than that; the godmothers, Salem, and Flix are fully realized and provide Lexi with the family she needs. Even Serena is given dismaying attention by the authors (it's nice to have someone you love to hate!😉), and Kin and any new additions (?!) are sure to receive more complex characterization based on their importance to the storyline. These characters and relationships are so engaging that I'm quite concerned (?!) for the fate of five of them. There are a couple of notable editing fails that cause a bit of a hiccup in the flow for this reader, but the story is so enthralling these are minor quibbles. I enthusiastically recommend this series; "No Chance In Spell" is already loaded and ready to read!
Terrific. Repairing Cupid's bow might be harder than she ever imagined as she has to visit the past to get the gold she needs. Plus her feeling of betrayal is still strong and her feelings for Kin's safety are constantly on her mind. Can she get the bow fixed and who will use it? Another great reaf that gives you more of a background to the Balefire Family whilst still keeping you up to date with Lexi's present.
