PS: God Loves You from the Chapel to the Cross

I was born in Hattiesburg, MS, in December of 1951. Our family was below the poverty line. Actually, we were below the pilings which held up the line below the poverty line. Said another way, on a good day, we were poor.My formative years were spent in a neighborhood called Irene Chapel. Many of these stories come from that period of time. I had a ton of fun listening to the Dodgers and Ole Miss on an old transistor radio held together with scotch tape. My cousin, Woody, was always good for a trip to the emergency room if I got bored. Of course, I was always the one being admitted.At seventeen, I met Jesus from the chapel to the cross! How fitting?
