Isn't It Romantic?

Rate this book
They've never met, but Katrine Summerville and Trey Westmoreland are sworn enemies. Katrine is a romance writer who, after being abandoned at the age of five, and widowed and pregnant at eighteen, doesn't believe in happily-ever-after.

Trey is a hard-nosed newspaper literary review columnist who carries the bitter taste of a failed marriage around with him along with a resentment toward romance novels, which he believes give women a warped expectation of love.

A case of mistaken identity, a night of ill-fated attraction, and their steamy moment captured on film catapults them into four weeks of nationally publicized Hell.

Katrine Summerville is a famous romance writer. Trey Westmoreland is a review columnist who wrote a derogatory column about Kit. They hate each other sight unseen. When a mutual friend arranges a blind date, they're really attracted, without knowing the other's pen names. Caught on film in a hot embrace, the editors make them date for a month and write about it. The time together confirms the attraction, but life still isn't smooth sailing. Fun, easy read.

I liked the premise of "Isn't It Romantic" (even tho it's been done before), and I thought the characters were well-done and the dialogue was very funny. The problem is/was the sheer gullibility of both and their constant denial of having feelings for each other just blew it for me about 1/2 way through the book. If the story had ended at 250 pages instead of dragging on for 347, I'd be happier at this moment. The hero and heroine were supposedly bright, articulate, and logical...so why the constant stupidity? By 3/4 of my way through, I began to actively dislike the hero. Not much longer afterward, ditto the heroine. The only character I felt stayed true thru it all was the daughter!!
Ah well...read and learn, true?

I read this book among other books from 26 May, and I choose this one other than few books as my 5 stars... I got this funny feeling along the way reading this book... I dont know how to explain the feeling but 1 thing for sure, this was good... So good that I need to write some review... The story about romance writer Kat Summer and T.West, starting with misunderstanding driven by desire end with fight.. What really good about this book, the humor taken at some unexpected scenes in this book.. Im good about books which gives me the unexpected... Im going for this author other books to see how far and how good the writing before reviewing any further... This light book suitable to read anytime, anywhere u like... thumbs up for this one..
