This omnibus volume contains two novels by Phillip Margolin - "Gone, But Not Forgotten" and "After Dark". The novels are grounded in Margolin's own experience a criminal defence attorney who has defended several people accused of murder.
Very Grisham-ish; caustic view of our legal system and those who work in it. Fun read as the plot is based in Portland (where the author lives) and settings are identifiable to us Northern Oregonians. It IS suspenseful and just when you think that the plot is predictable, there's a nice twist.
