It was surprisingly gory and I didn’t expect that. It had lots of plot twists and kept me on the edge of my seat,.

Very Grisham-ish; caustic view of our legal system and those who work in it. Fun read as the plot is based in Portland (where the author lives) and settings are identifiable to us Northern Oregonians. It IS suspenseful and just when you think that the plot is predictable, there's a nice twist.
