I better start off by saying I'm pretty biased, I didn't contribute to the collection but I am in the redditwriters group and have nothing but good thing to say about them, this project and the stories within.

There are a tonne of tales ranging from fantasy and sci-fi to horror, to a couple of romantic pieces. It's hard to pick favourites but Alex Hareland's pair of stories stood out as particularly dark (in a good way), Buds by Brad McNaughton created a particularly tear-jerky vivid dystopia, whereas Phone Call by Matt Orr was just tear jerking full stop. Blue Skies Before Daybreak presented a deceptively simply storyline that was surprisingly engaging.

I have to say my favourite was the final tale Roots and Tangles by V. R. Gregg, the story was creepy AF had great atmosphere and the voice was authentic and authoritative, I felt like I could have been reading the intro to a novel to rival Stephen King.

Anyway enough gushing - the Mixtape is great, the authors are great, buy it now!
