The Dead Saga is back and Odium V is a thrilling read full of action, suspense, zombies, and smoking hot steam. This is the fifth book in the series, and the series must be read in order. In this installment, the fate of Nina and Mikey is unknown as the dead continues to wreak havoc on the world.

"It's like our fates aren't aligned or something."

Nina has survived years of fighting, torture, and abuse. She and Michael are on the move and on a mission. The goal is to find Mikey, but it doesn't take long for Michael and Nina to find themselves in trouble again. A motorcycle club spots the traveling duo and threatens them. Shooter, the club president, is intrigued by Nina and her sassy mouth. Although Nina longs to reunite with Mikey, she discovers a connection with the "alpha male" president. The desire to feel anything is overwhelming as Nina and Shooter find solace in each other.

"It's time to move on, to cut our losses before it's too late and we run out of luck."

Meanwhile, the fate of Mikey is unknown. Left in the hands of a "killer" elderly couple Mikey is in danger of dying or being eaten alive. With Nina miles away and completely oblivious to his situation, it seems impossible for anyone to come to his rescue. But as all Odium fans know, in this apocalyptic world, anything can happen.

"Whatever happens, there's no way I'm not making it out of this situation."

Told in dual POV, Odium V evoked a plethora of emotions. I felt anger, sadness, fear, and some serious sexual tension. As the fifth book in the series, we have experienced many characters come and go, and the stakes are high for Mikey and Nina to finally be together and yet, the timing never seems to be right. With every loss of life, there is pain, and Nina is more determined than ever to survive. The complex characters paired with the intense plot keep me coming back for more. I simply couldn't turn the pages fast enough.
Obviously, I have a strong opinion on how I would like things to turn out for Nina and Mikey but at the end of the day, this is the end of the world, and anything can happen!



Overall, I highly recommend Odium V and the entire Dead Saga to anyone who enjoys action, suspense, romance, and of course zombies. Nina is my favorite heroine of all time, and I am not going to lie there are times in my daily life when I think to myself "what would Nina do" and I instantly find the inner strength I need to make it through that moment. I am madly in love with Mikey, and although Shooter certainly got my blood pumping, I am waiting on pins and needles to see what is going to happen next. If you haven't started this series yet, you need to! Even my husband has become a DEAD SAGA fan! Claire C. Riley is a phenomenal author, and everyone needs to experience a piece of ZOMBIE GREATNESS!

Not gonna have much to say about this one... Other than OMG... These books are seriously like crack. And right now... Right now my emotions are on overload and I need to reign them in. You see... I love this author, for her ability to get me this emotional and this invested... She needs a standing O like - NOW.



I have had a ship from jump street and Author Riley is RAINING ZOMBIE brains ALL OVER IT. And I am not happy about it. BUT - ohhhh the conflict it brings!! And the DRAMA!! Im here for that ... MAYBE.

We started this wild journey staying in crazy walled camps, seen tree house living, psycho camps, crazy carnival people and now...in this installment we see biker gangs and cannibals. This series seriously does get better with each book. You never know what you are going to come across.



So if you have read these up until this point.. Im sure you are feeling like I am- if you're not then ... I dont even know. But for those of you who have not you may want to stop here. Cuz Im about to vent.

So you have been warned - spoilers ahead.

Nina is Alive oh hallelujah-



but shes off doing stupid crap. And I dont like it. Her and Michael have escaped from The Forgotten and are now trying to find their people. On route to find their friends, Nina and Michael find so much more. While at the MC headquarters, Nina is drawn to their Prez- the brutish blue eyed leader- Shooter. She cant explain why she feels the way she does, but she feels like Mikey will be better off without knowing she is alive. But little does she know that he is waiting in the candy shop to be chopped up and eaten. SO MANY THINGS HAPPEN - and I just want to say right now that I just need her and Mikey to find each other and make up.

I do not like Shooter... or O'Donnell. They need to both go away!! I dont like how Shooter treats Nina and I think O'Donnell is just boring. My feelings are all over the place - obviously - but at least you know where I stand at this point!! Looking forward to the last book!!

Hope Dead Saga,#6 is released on audio very soon. On pins and needles after episode #5 and eager to find out how the series progresses &/or concludes. Claire C. Here we go again on the crazy odium ride. We follow Nina and Michael as they head out trying to find Mikey, Adam and Joan. When they are run off the rode by an MC gang they are taken back to the club house and find themselves the safe haven they didn't know they needed, for now anyway.

I am a fan of Claire's MC romances so to see some characters I know and love worked into this series was amazing! Nina slowly comes to the realisation that after everything she has been through maybe leaving Mikey to believe she is dead is or the best. She seeks comfort in the club President Shooter and there is plenty of sexual tension building up *more side eye tot Author*

This book to me felt less intense in the pacing; but I know it's setting up a whole new world within this post apocalyptic narrative and as Mikey's situation plays out I know I was right. Things begin to get complicated for Mikey and unbeknown to them both Nina and he are so close yet so far away and boy is that frustratingly torturous but it makes for great suspense in the novel. Seeing how their paths may or may not cross again after being apart for 2 novels now is keeping me at the edge of my seat. I need book 6 right now.

Bikers, Cannibals, Nina, Mikey, Shooter.

I love the Characters in these books you feel the emotions when you are reading.. my heart was racing at parts.
I really love Claire's writing style as I have said before these aren't my type of books well I thought they wasn't but this series as me hooked I just love it.

I am so torn with my feelings on this book in a good way but I once you will read you will understand.
I am not going give anything away but if you have read the other books in the series then you DON'T WANT to miss this one.

OMG OMG OMG!!! Nina - bikers - zombies - OH MY!

I CANNOT tell you how many times I gasped, screamed in my pillow, shook my head, wanted to kick Nina's ass! The emotions are endless! If you've read from the very beginning you KNOW how Claire writes. It's SO good you can't put it down till you're finished. She leaves you on the brink of death and brings you right back to life. I freaking love it.

So needless to say Odium V is no different than the rest of the series as far as giving yourself heart palpitations as you read! I'm so invested in Nina and Mikey I feel like I know them. I feel their pain and their sorrows, their hurt and weakness. And boy do they have lots of them. They can't seem to stay on the straight and narrow, and especially not together. Trouble follows them everywhere, it seems to be keeping them apart even. And it KILLS MY HEART!

Nina is still a bad ass bitch and Mikey is still fighting his way out of bad situations. I'm going to need them to get their ish together ASAP and stop this nonsense they have going on. Shooter, O'Donnell..... NO. JUST NO. There are new people, lots of them. Good ones and bad. It's hard to tell them apart at times because everyone is dangerous.

I will contain my excitedness over this book and refrain from spilling any more beans. Just read it. From the very beginning. Where Nina and Mikey begin.

Odium VI ...Please oh PLEASE give me my wishes!

I bought book IV and book V together and couldn't wait to read book V after completing IV, and I'm glad I did.

You know when you read a book and you try to guess what will come next, what you want to happen and what you don't! Well don't try that with this the fifth book in the series. Talk about a roller coaster of twists, turns and a plot twist you won't be expecting. My lips are sealed.

Claire again paints a vivid world will, well formed and well developed characters. After five books it's a world filled with character that if I was parachuted in for a visit I reckon I could find my way around and recognise a few individuals.

Looking forward to the next installment.

Holy cow! Talk about a fast paced can't put it down kind of book! This book is full of Lust, angst, love,and revenge all the makings of something fantastic. Will Mikey and Nina ever find themselves on the same path again in life and in love, only time will tell. And in rides shooter!

Amazing series!

Wow...is all I can say about this book! The way the author presents the characters makes you feel their emotions. The details she adds can make you "see" what is happening as though watching a movie. Aaaarrrrrrhhhh. I turn and it’s the last page. Holy. Hell. What a finish. Claire C Riley sucked me into this saga from the very first book. jOdium V was full of heart-racing action, regret, angst, and end of the world survival with a lot more snark and humour. I loved it. Book 6 can't come soon enough!

Why.....why....why???? This one has got me all sorts of conflicted on how I'm supposed to feel about Nina and Mikey. Because now there's Shooter, and I can see him and Nina together, but after all Nina and Mikey have been through - ahhhhh!!! I need them to find their way back to one another.

But I just have to say, F*ing O'Donnell. Ugh.

OMG spellbinding horror and terror filled read. Enemies and Zombies every where you look, now we have rival biker gangs thrown into the mix and a weird couple who seem to be finding plenty of meat from the middle of a ghost town. I got to a point where I couldn't decide which fate was best. Be warned this ends on a big cliff. Shock had me holding my breath even more than the normal with Zombies. I have to say this is the most action packed, graphic and terror filled Zombie series I have ever read. I was scared of my own shadow at times reading through these books, I am not a fan of being scared witless but I could not put these down. As I finished one I was straight into the next, however I do not like being left hanging which I was. That for me is the one and only downside of this series, you need to read them all in order and as it stands at this moment the next book isn't out yet which isn't a good thing for me or the poor characters left in limbo. However we do get a few answers along the way and some small bits of good news and just maybe help on the way, but that could be a big maybe.

Mrs.Riley never disappoints. I was an ARC reader for Odium 5, The Dead Saga.
OH MY!What an intense suspenseful ride.Michael & Nina are looking for Mikey and their friends.It seems like the star's will never align for these two soul mates. Mikey & Nina seem to be locked in an never ending game of seek & find. Never able to be together for long.
In this book there are regrets, self doubt, MC (motorcycle clubs) The Highwaymen, & The Devil's Rejects,misunderstandings, an angel of mercy that came in the form of a women named Kora,cannibals Tim, Clair & The Savages,traitors and more amazing escapes.All making for a fast emotional read.Pick up your copy today.
Mrs Clair c. Riley is ruthless and twisted when it comes to killing off her characters.(In a good way of course.) She has created a believable post z-poc world. Where the living is just as dangerous as the purified zombies, if not more so.There are still some good humans left in this world,but they are hard to find. You can never fully trust anyone.

Best one yet

This series has slowly grown on me, and now I’m decidedly obsessed. OMG I️ can’t wait for the next one!!

I️ like Mikey, and I️ like Nina. But I️ Love them separately. I’m so glad the story has gone this way, because their separate circumstances are so much more interesting. I️ love the interaction with Nina and the new man in her life; same for Mikey and the new woman.

I️ can certainly say this: the author knows how to build suspense & keep us on the edge of our seats with the switching perspectives. Fantastic storytelling.

Outstanding series!

I can't say enough about this series. It is not YA it is adult realistic fiction showing the darkest shades in men's and women's souls. It also shows the strength and desperation of the human spirit to survive and to love.
Nina and Mikey are in separate places as we know,and each meet different people, of various character. We have different PoVs in this one and it is quite a ride.
I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. Please don't make us wait too long, Claire.

Wow!!! Just wow!!!! Such an awesome read!!! Loved this so much, but hate that I have to wait till winter to find out what happens to Mikey. 😭 But worth the wait. I love Miley but I'm really loving Shooter too!!!!

Crazy cannibals

Book 5 in The Dead Saga series. I don’t think things can get much worse for these main characters. Mikey, O’Donnell, and their group slowly getting picked by crazed cannibals. Nina, Shooter and the Highwaymen. We are finding more and more groups of survivors along the way, some are friendly and some are anything but. Can’t wait for book 6.

The stakes are getting higher for both Mikey and Nina. The new characters are awesome, some you love, some you love to hate and others are just downright horrible but perfectly written. This book has peaked my interest further in this series and before I knew it I had already downloaded and started Book 6...

An awesome series. As usual great cast of characters lots of action door and nobody is safe in the zombie apocalypse. You might find a character you love and then they die. An awesome run fighting zombies and evil people. Definitely well worth the read.
