" Join this close knit group as they block bitter exes, confront fake friends, and tackle fears of the unknown all while experiencing true love on a whole new level.
Talented author Dakota Bibbs has deemed herself unlucky in love. She only dreams of experiencing a connection with a man similar to the ones she writes about in her novels. Then on cue, Giannis Williams enters her life. Dakota's cousin Breelyn Waiters is attempting to get her life back after weaning herself off her most painful addiction -- David Parrish. Their protector, Elijah 'Rah' Waiters, is a complicated man only those close to him can understand. Sensing something is missing, Rah is contemplating letting love in for the first time. "
Okay, I've said this before, but I mean it this time. Urban lit is getting so much better. This story was actually well told. It was riveting, and kept me on the edge of my seat. Dakota and Giannia were the perfect scary, crazy in love match after her deal with always cheating Montell. Breelyn and DiMario were also scary deadly in love sexy as hell... David the former hoops star was just stupid crazy. Rah on the other hand was shivering in your boots scary. Each character added a dangerous sexy touch to the story. Although the story ended with a cliffhanger, it will be good to see what happens next.......
How the book gonna end like that? Shantae' you my dear have spoiled me with your stand alone books and I just KNEW this was going to be another one...but NO. Imagine me with my jaw dropping to my lap, screaming out WHAT, then SMDH in disbelief. I hope you are hard at work on book two. I NEED to know ASAP if Bree gon be alright, Kota and G get married, Rah stops wit the bullshit and comes clean bout that Jada girl and if David the junkie gets got by Rio. Please and thank you.
Shantae' you always have some excitement and drama taken place to keep you wanting more and at the edge cause it's just that juice. Kota happy to see she moving on so much has happen time for a fresh and new. All the ladies and men was something. I'm looking for Elijah have his part in part 2 cause it's about to be some mess
This book was a good read in as much as it kept you reaching because you want to know what's happening next. The love that Bree and Kota found is the kind I think all real women are looking for. I loved their love. I don't like the ending because the second part isn't available yet but I will definitely be reading it as soon as it is released
Overall this was a pretty good book. The story line was decent. I like that the author allowed us to read from multiple characters perspectives. It's always nice to see what other people are thinking in certain situations and moments. I'm interested to know what will happen in the next book. I already downloaded on my kindle app
Amazing story line!!!!! You feel connected to the characters like you really know them . The book is well written and I appreciate all the lil ups and downs that the family goes through and comes out of. Well done Shantae keep up good work. Go download this is great
I loved this book. Kota getting rid of that no good Montell, Bri growing a backbone and finally standing up for herself, and even Montell realizing that he messed up and trying to change his life. Wow. This book is amazing and I can't wait for part 2.
Really enjoyed the book. Those dudes act like they couldn't move on. I really liked the couples. Trying to figure out who Rah is with. I have an idea. Looking forward to part 2.
This book was an unexpected surprise. Very good read, loved the relationship drama and bond shared by the cousins/siblings in book. Rare view of men showing unashamed love for their ladies. Ready for next book!
OMG, I loved this book! The loved that the girls found was real & true love after being treated horribly by their exes. I'm hoping there will be another book to pick up where this one ended? I didn't like the end, it leaves you wondering...
Breelyn!! I hope that she will be ok!! So there will be a part two to this. I enjoyed this read. Who messed with the car like that?? Man I think they was after DeMario..
This book was every thing from beginning to end drama action intense couples up and down suspense puzzle revelation revealed well written every page intense
The vernacular was a little hard to deal with and the different POV sometimes left me reeling, but it did leave me intrigued enough to want to read book two.
