Every day, Warren Craghead draws and shares grotesque portraits of Donald Trump and his minions. TRUMPTRUMP Volume 2 collects the second six months of these daily drawings with context and commentary, from the day after Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2017, to the end of the first six months he was in office, on July 2017.
Punishing and devastating in the most biting and brutal manner. This is top shelf political cartooning that shockingly skewers Trump and his minions with grotesque caricatures coupled with verbatim quotes over a 6 month period. Just as crucial and important as Volume 1. Probably the best Retrofit book I received as part of the Kickstarter campaign last year and that says a lot considering they published 12 mostly brilliant graphic novels in 2018.
I'm not actually going to give this a rating. On the one hand, it is excellent political cartooning. Craghead's grotesques are perfect emotional representations of the subject matter.
However, this book is not fun to read. I didn't look forward to picking it up. I couldn't read many pages at a time. And I was glad when it was over.
