Since Jack is driving through Wyoming anyway, he agrees to do a favor for a friend. Trouble follows him like a bad debt and he ends up getting arrested by Deputy Sheriff Janie Sherman because the cops are looking for a tall guy driving an old car. It doesn't take long to clear Beckett, but Casper is a small town and besides, he is attracted to Janie. It isn't a simple crime that needs solving. People have turned up dead and high level bad guys are involved. If you are familiar with this series, this book has all the action you have come to expect. Terrific read!

Devil's Gate is the third book in the thrilling Jack Beckett series. This action-packed thriller keeps you on the edge of your seat with Jack Beckett in Casper, Wyoming. This is a real page-turner as Jack decides to help the local law enforcement find a killer for hire. It does help that one of the locals comes in the form of Deputy Sheriff Janie Sherman. This thriller is a must-read!

Good book

I like the protagonist, the stories are interesting and fast moving. I always look forward to the next book. I appreciate that the books are not cliffhangers and you don't have to have read the ones before to understand what is going on. Of course once you read one I think you'll want to read them all.

Fun as standalone books or as part of the series, each book is complete in all the details needed to follow the flow of the stories.

The Butterfly Effect in law enforcement.

Our clever hero gets tangled in odd events and perceives other links.

Exciting and action packed!

Seems to get better with each book.

Enjoy the action, Beckett is relentless when he gets involved in helping someone. The spelling and grammar needs attention, but I self correct as I read so no real problem for me.
