As the new Alpha of the Ohio Tigers, Korbin has his work cut out for him. The small clan size and numerous threats leave him with few options. Rather than merge with another Alpha, he fights to give the Ohio Tigers a brighter future. By making his clan a haven for those escaping enemy Alphas, he ensures it will grow in size and strength, but will offering sanctuary bring its own set of problems? Then, when his mate arrives, he discovers the biggest obstacle he’ll have to overcome is the sheriff right in town.
Years ago, Layla Cole’s father promised her hand in marriage to the town’s human sheriff. For nearly a year, she allowed him to court her, but as her twentieth birthday looms, she realizes she can’t go through with it. She might have married him if her father was still alive, but he died at the very hands of the man she’s supposed to marry, leaving only hatred for him flowing through her veins. Not going through with the arrangement puts her sister’s life in jeopardy. Somehow, she must find a way to keep them both safe.
Battered and wounded, Layla turns to the only people who might protect her against the sheriff. She wants simply to get out of town, but finds way more than that: a chance at true happiness. Can she survive the battle between sheriff and shifter, or will she end up losing the only thing she’s ever wanted? Will Korbin’s duty to keep his mate safe doom his clan? Finding balance between responsibility and love has never proved so challenging.

Was going to take a break as 2st 11 quite dark but Black Tiger kept me reading so been “enjoying” the stories more also not so many sex scenes as the earlier ones. Sorry but even those who love them too much is too much. These latest more in balance. Good plots and characters make me keep reading. Probably only me but I hate when baby used as term of endearment for grown women, especially in almost every sentence. I really enjoyed Catnip, Peaches, etc. showed creativity and something personal. Baby really is just generic, basically insulting and just like honey overused.
Marissa Dobson took a topic that REALLY needs to be addressed by as many people in influence as possible and turned it into a great romance novel! That topic is domestic violence. As the survivor of domestic violence myself, I applaud Ms Dobson’s efforts to make this shadowy topic a great story and give it the ending that everyone who goes through this terrible experience a story book ending! I have been a fan of Marissa Dobson since the first book of hers that I read, and I will definitely continue to be in the future!
The Alaskan Tigers series is fantastic. It gets better with each new book. Alpha Claimed is book 13 of the series and it brings us new characters. This book is set in Ohio and is about the small clan of The Ohio Tigers. It will warm your heart. The characters are great. With each new member the clan grows and their will to be more grows with them. I can't wait to see what's next.
This is definitely a 5 star read that you will not be disappointed in. But remember to give yourself some time because you will need to start with the first book to be able too enjoy the whole story. The only bad thing about any of these books is you have to wait for more books to be released. But you will definitely want to get them all
I can't wait for the grand finale. Everyone's experience with finding their mates has been off the chain. I'm glad Korbin mated Layla before she got the chance to leave. I'm sure her ex would have hurt her more.
Thru and accident of luck Kayla finds herself at Korbin’s compound. She’s beaten and bleeding—and his Mate. They just need to survive. This is a sweet PNR novella. Definitely worth reading.
Part of a lo g series but can easily q read as q stand alone and brilliantly written. You can feel the passions and the pain throughout q whole book and I can't wait to read both the next in the series and all the earlier books
Quite the continuation of the series, this could be a stand alone. Even though this story is terrifying the love and devotion everyone shares lends a calming influence. Can't wait to read more.
Very well written. I love this series, its action packed, sad, funny and romantic.. I love that in all the books there is a hot Alpha and a very strong female. Thank you
