absolute fun!

This set of Professor Moriarty stories is a total hoot. A spin-off, of course, from Sherlock Holmes mysteries (and showing Holmes to be a brilliant, annoying pain in the patootie) stars Prof Moriarty as a whip-smart mathematician, well muscled and athletic, and totally buttoned up. His delightful wife, Angelina, has a con-woman’s instinct, and doing her best to unbutton him. She is certainly not what she seems, and helps create havoc everywhere she goes.
The perfect escape-read on any day when the modern world is just too much.

I got totally lost in this series. Don't think I have been that engrossed for a while. Reading them one after the other gave me continuity and I could see the development of the characters. Book two was especially fascinating although I was a bit disappointed in Mrs. Moriarty's far too quick recovery from her drug addiction. Book three had font issues I think; sporadic changing of text, but this did not deter me from enjoying the story.

If you like a good mystery you will find this set gripping.

Well Written Mysteries

In the same manner as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this new series of Professor and Mrs. Moriarty adventures keeps the reader on the edge throughout the stories. The attention to detail and the use of 19th century colloquial narrative makes for great reading and is in tune with the methods and forensics of Sherlock Holmes style and expression.

Sleuthing better than Holmes

I enjoy reading about the Moriarty's adventures more so than a Sherlock Holmes mystery. They seem so much closer to reality, through their vulnerabilities.

Stopped reading when I decided I didn’t like the characters and preferred to go no further.

Editing problems in third book

Stories are good, obvious but good. The third book kept switching text sizes. Once I can excuse but it was probably closer to ten times.

Nice, simple, easy-to-read mysteries that make me sympathetic to this character and like Sherlock Holmes a little less.
