The SECRET of happiness is FREEDOM. The secret of freedom is COURAGE.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past as better than what is was and the present worse than it actually is.
SIMON DIESEL, billionaire extraordinaire, is being played. Either by the woman he’s hopelessly in love with, or by someone he trusts.
That narrows the list down significantly. There’s only a handful of people Simon trusts, so it shouldn’t be that hard to find the perpetrator. However, how much is he willing to risk for his company? For his heart?
Will falling in love with Heather a second time be second chance or payback for the heartbreak he caused her years ago?
“The harder thing to do and the right thing to do is usually the same thing.”
This third book in this series has us intrigued from the offset. We get to find out if Heather can forgive Simon. for not trusting her and if Simon has the courage to own up to his own mistakes in the past. We get to know the ins and outs of a tech company and how much duplicity lies within its walls. But most of all we get to read about a love story in the making and what makes people do the things they do.
Police, corporate secrets, hackers, all have Simon and Heather guessing their feeling for each other, do they trust the other, can the other be trusted. Who is trying to destroy Simon’s company. This book ends on a MAJOR cliffhanger that I was not prepared for emotional!!
Still crap. The premise still dorsn’t work, although this one is more about commercial espionage rather than the immoral shock of the boss having an affair with his assistant. Given that that is what all of Timms’s books are about, I don’t understand why it is such a big deal in this series.
I finished this book a couple a days and I just had to get the other 2 for this series to see what goes on as it left me hanging and wanting to know what happen. I did so very much enjoy reading it.
Rushed the ending, i feel like the whole book was trying to clear the name and when the truth came out it rushed it and didn’t let me savor who really did it.

Oh my goodness! Every time I read about Simon and Heather I love them even more! I love how they can’t seem to stay away from each other. They are so perfect one another! 🥰
