When the writer is continually touched and inspired by their own work ... then I know it is something special.
The following is from a friend who bought CHALICE, and had hoped to read it as soon as she got home from a trip:
I wanted to tell you the saga of your book I bought.
I went to visit a friend on the way back to Motueka.
I took your book out of my bag. Then I noticed that I had done that and thought NO I want to read it first!
So I put it back. Several hours later the same thing happened! The book was in my hand before I noticed. Again I said no I want to read it NOW! So as I was leaving to go home, it was a very strong message to give it to my friend to read. Wow what a lot of 'letting go' for me that was. So I gave her the book and told her that I had been VERY strongly told to give her the book to read.
She said thank you and that she would take care of it until we met again.
So a few days later she rang.
Well she said the book was meant for her. There were several things in the book that truly resonated with her. It made her feel very comforted and blessed to have discovered that someone else has experienced certain things. She has never told anyone about those things and probably never will but feels comforted by your book.
...
It is my hope that his novel touch people the way it has touched this lady, and others who have been inspired, and begun to think deeper about their own lives.
My appreciation to all readers...
with love and gratitude
