Exceptional reading
You need to read only 1-2 paragraphs and you know that the author of the fanfic has great writing skills. The story was carefully crafted - it is clear that the author must have put a lot of thoughts into plotting the whole story that is over 250 pages - it is moving in proper pace and the changing dynamics of the relationship is very believable, it has a lot of twists and candies, the heroes are faithful to their TV series counterparts, and I loved how the author portrayed Damon and then his relationship with Bonnies.
I adored how much the author focused on Damons humanity, internal struggles, his process of becoming a better man for the woman who he is in love. There are a lot of stories that put in front the bestiality or the demon in Damon, but in this story his shortcomings are put in light of mistake of a human. I loved how the author showed that his bad moves/decisions are carried in name of love, and that he is able to change after being confronted with his mistakes. That he is a man in the first place, a man who is evolving.
I was crazy about the parts when Bamon relationship was blooming and I was left with wanting more. -.- I must confess that the smut parts were also exceptionally written - they had different feeling in comparison to (usually fictional) smut in other stories that I have read.
On the other hand I wouldnt mind if certain parts of the story moved in quicker pace and I also expected a little bit more exciting final battle.
