Studdin' Axxel: Inappropriate Date Agency

Rate this book
***The Inappropriate Date Agency does not assume liability for any panties that end up soaking wet from an encounter with our contractors. Nor do we assume liability for any freaked out parents, embarrassed siblings or food fight that may or may not have started on account of their contractors.***   Winifred Hamilton was taking her life back.   For twenty-six years her mother has guilt tripped her into playing it safe. Now she and her friends wanted Wendy to live the same throwback 1960 lives that they did. No way, no how was Wendy going to succumb to the pressure.   Little did she know that reading an innocent looking ad in the back of a magazine would change her life forever.   Axxel Rhodes, put the BA into Bad Boy. He excelled at being an A-hole and now he was bringing that skill to Wendy. He was hired to convince Wendy's mother that she was more than capable of deciding her own future including her husband.   Go big or go home was the motto he lived his life by and he was big all over. More importantly he was willing to show Wendy how big he could get in and out of bed, against the wall, on the living room floor….

Good story line... minor editing

Nice quick read. The story line was good and I liked the characters especially of how Axxel helped Wendy/Freddie stand up to her Mom. My only complaint is with editing. A few words here and there were missing or were the wrong word (ex: while instead of where). Still I'll read the next book to see which of the IDA boys fall next. ☺

Hot and quick.

This is a quick little read if you're looking for a stop-gap book.
Wendy, after years of being put down and living to her Mothers rules decides she needs to take back control of her life. On contacting the IDA she meets Axxel and they go to her family domain for dinner on Thanksgiving. Her family are suitably shocked when they turn up and Wendy introduces them not only to Axxel but her new personality - Freddie. No longer is she going to be talked down to and ignored. After finding her backbone and putting everyone in their place they leave. After dropping her home and ending the contract Axxel and Freddie then act on the indisputable chemistry between them and fall into bed.

Very poorly done

I liked the premise of this story, but it's very poorly done, from sentences that don't make sense, incorrect word usage, and change of tense mid-sentence. These are actual quotes from the book: "A never before did she wanted like she wanted someone like she wanted him" "This really made her wonder what else has she missed out on life by being a wuss." " She should a known" " The first of all burned going down" " I going to up in flames" " She just needed to be patience". This is the first book I've read by this author and will definitely be the last.

Winifred has an overbearing controlling mother who wants to set up her daughter with an appropriate mate. Axxel, the owner of the Inappropriate Date Agency, is hired to help Winifred get out of it. I loved Wendy aka Freddie's use of cartoon characters' names in place of cursing. This book is steamy, flirty, funny, and gives us a lesson on not judging a book by its cover. A quick read. I look forward to the next book in the series. I was gifted this book by the author on Facebook and offer my review voluntarily.

Clutching the pearls during dinner

The humor in this book was fantastic! The family drama, particularly the crazy mother, was well done. The steam factor was right up there. I loved the whole concept of Axxel's company - the ad alone hooked me. I loved that roller derby was part of this story - an added bonus for sure. This was a quick, fun and funny read. There were many grammatical errors that while noticeable, didn't take away from the story.

The sorry could be great but the writing is awful

The concept of the story is fanastic and could go into a great series but this had so many spelling areas and kept going to singular point of view to third person point of view.
It got so very confusing and it was difficult to follow.

So it got two stars for the concept but that's it

I rarely give 5 stars but this book had it all! The heroine finding herself and becoming a strong woman despite her past and a almost broken but strong man loving her for who she is even when she doesn’t know who she is. Action, sex, love and finding where you belong in the world. Just an all around great read!

This book is in DESPERATE NEED of a proof reader, and could benefit greatly from an editor. I did really like Axxel, and I enjoyed the story. I even like the cover. Would be worthy of more stars with a bit of work.

Short read, but nice. I liked the fact that Freddie wasn't a snob like her Mother, and that she accepted Axxel for who he was, not for what he did. I liked how Axxel brought Freddie out of her shell, and showed her how to live nd love.

Fun read

I liked the premise and characters for the most part. Quite a few typos and formatting errors, though, which were distracting.

Ok

If you're in the mood for a quick steamy read this will do. Insta-lust. The sex was hot but the inner dialogue was annoying to me.
