Am I Good Enough To Love?

Rate this book
From the day she was born, Logan was deemed a daddy’s girl. Even after learning she had to share Deron, she still looked at him with stars in her eyes. But, over the years outside interferences caused the sparkle she had for him to dim. Deron’s attempts fell on deaf ears until Loga had no choice but to hear him out. The youngest of the sisters, Kolbee was clueless to the turmoil Deron had caused between his two kids mothers. She loved Logan, but her big sister’s actions were never reciprocated. Now that she’s older, Kolbee just wants answers. Some type of reassurance from the only man she’s ever loved. Logan and Kolbee walk into the lion’s den when visiting their dad, and somehow stumble upon love… or what they assumed for it to be. Bezo, a local Atlanta rapper, has his mind set on sweeping Logan and her adorable daughter off their feet. But, the task is not as simple as laying a couple of verses on a track. As for Kolbee, her love interest is one too close to home. Denali is a man of his word. When he makes the promise to have Kolbee’s back, that’s exactly what he plans to do. But, Kolbee doesn’t hold her breath on it. Deron had made her the same promise. Life always finds a way to dismantle you from comfortability. Forced to reconcile the drift Deron has caused between them, Logan and Kolbee try to put the past behind them. But, the past isn’t always pretty. Even if the love back then seemed like it was enough.

Am I Good Enough To Love? is a story about two sisters, Logan and Kolbee, who have never had a close relationship because of their father's infidelity. One day their father calls both of them to his house in Atlanta. Both girls are reluctant to go, but are soon overcome with heartache and guilt after their father passes away from cancer. Their father leaves them with all of his assets, including his dry cleaning company. Logan and Kolbee know that they must reconcile their differences and forgive their father for all of the pain that he has caused.

During their journey of rekindling their relationship as sisters, Logan and Kolbee are also trying to find themselves, as well as find love.

I loved this story, especially the family aspect. The mother-daughter relationships in this story were amazing and empowering. Though Logan and Kolbee's moms did not get along in the past, they chose to bury their differences for their daughters and they were not afraid to apologize for their wrong doings while their daughters were growing up.

This story has such an impactful message about how important family is. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

beautiful well written story

This book definitely had me in my feelings. This was such a beautiful love story. Not just between man and woman, but the love of two sisters. Logan and Kolbee were both dealing with daddy issues. I’m glad they didn’t let that stop them from letting love in. Beautiful love story.

This book had me in my feelings sooo much! I couldn’t put it down! The gems dropped in this story were well placed and very deep. Deron had tried his hardest to be there for both girls but fell short in some aspects. Logan was getting on my nerves at first but, further into the story it was justified. I loved Jordyn’s little butt she was the star of the book lol. Kolbee was my girl tho. Her and Denali were a match made in heaven. I loved the way he handled her and the way he spoke to her. He held nothing back when it came to her. I loved it. Bezoooo was bae for real! Him and Logan were perfect together and i loved the way he accepted Jordyn with no problem. Rome was a definition of a deadbeat. I hated him. A few errors here and there but all in all it was very good read and i would suggest it to anybody who has father issues and feels like there not enough for love. This story reminds them that you ARE enough and you ARE WORTHY of love. Great job ladies!

I really enjoyed this book. It was great! I loved Bezo and Denali. I loved how they showered Logan and Kolbee with nothing but love. They affirmed them, they encouraged them and they helped these 2 feisty sisters with their daddy issues. Great job, Dominique Thomas and BriAnn Danae! I hope you do another collaboration real soon.

Whew… this book truly touched my soul. I felt every bit of what Logan and Kolbee went through the fear, the hesitation, the pain of trying to let someone in while carrying the weight of unresolved daddy issues. It was like holding up a mirror to my own life, forcing me to reevaluate my relationship with my dad and sister. I didn’t expect it to hit me this deeply… but I’m so grateful it did. I loved this book with my whole heart.

Loved this collab

This book was so good and relatable. It’s a shame the girls missed out on a lot of their lives but I’m glad they mended their relationship as well as their mothers being cordial to each other. I absolutely loved Bezo and Denali.

A Father and His Girls

I loved this story because of how relatable it is. No man is perfect but a man who's a Father to his kids is the best thing a girl could ask for. He may not be there at every waking hour because of his bad decision, but he always mad sure the bed he made is comfortable. Like most daughters who fill some type of resentment toward Dad always gives him the business and are also stubborn as a mule. The Flint sisters experienced that very thing, they wanted no more than to have him to themselves. Kolbee especially, she didn't like to share. However, life has a way of bringing things full circle. I was so intrigued at how things unfolded and how relationships easily mended together. Unbeknownst to Logan and Kolbee, Deron had them set for life and love. I guess that was his way of paying them back for. Kolbee and Logan go through a lot changes with men in this story, they questions their decisions and their relationships. The love in the story is genuine, but there is also always hate hanging around. The Authors did a good job of balancing the 2 main characters. The main thing I pick up is how a girls relationship with her Father determines the type of main she settles down with. Logan and Kolbee decided to deal with someone opposite their dad.

This was ok, not drool worthy ok, but ok...

This was a bit boring, a bit slow, and ok. Something was missing on it because at the beginning I thought this was going to be some sisters/sisters/daddy drama while meeting their soul mate, but it turn out completely different than that and a very boring story. Skipped several pages and finally it was done, I had to come back 2 days later to do this review.
Logan and Kolbee all started it out fine then it was just unbelievable that Logan with all of these "principles" she was able to give in to Bezo so quick. While at least Kolbee is making Denali work a bit but then she gave in so easily after..
Now whatever happened to Megan and doesn't Denali have any old fling? What they just both magically became the best of the best there? I am telling you, something is truly missing and it removed all of the appeal the book had originally.
First time reading a collaboration book and so far didn't like it all.

Banger

I loved this book and it was a nice switch up from what I normally read. It was urban but more romance and I really enjoyed it! Rome irritated every nerve that I had but I was so emotionally involved with the characters that it was easy to hate him! Deron made a lot of mistakes but that showed he was human! He loved his daughters the best he could and I loved how he manned up on the things he did wrong. Kolbee and Logan are very strong willed women who was easy to love. This was well written. I have read the majority of BriAnns catalog and as much as I loved her previous work I can say I see growth from speechless to now. I haven't read much by Dominique but I will definitely be open to reading her catalog

Loved this!!

I definitely loved this collabo!! Both ladies are very talented!!! The coming together of these sisters were epic. They were so much alike but never really took the chance to figure that out. This story reminds me of real life situations but everybody all lives in the same city. I liked that we got thoughts and feelings as every thing was happening, the characters wasn't separated by the chapters. Kolbee has that lethal mouth but she was funny though and Logan has that bad attitude but she don't go around messing with people. Their mothers raised them to be strong black women but there was taught them what not to take from a man. I would have liked to know if Logan son has red hair like Jordyn though but overall loved this book and the romance aspect.

Deron messed up along the way but it was clear he loved both Logan and Kolbee. Logan and Kolbee both had similar feelings but after everything that occurred it made their bond stronger. Rome was a weak dude that constantly ran from his responsibilities. Denali and Bezo were the true definition of men. They were willing to go above and beyond to show Kolbee and Logan they were good enough to love. Jordyn was something else. Kolbee and Logan could've easily gotten caught up and although bad things happened they were still able to come out on top. This story was a little different but I loved how everything came about.

Great Read

This collaboration was a great standalone. I loved reading this story about two sisters who were so affected by their father's actions in the past and as a result of his death were able to come together and form an unbreakable bond that would make him proud. I wonder how things would have been had Logan and Kolbees father Deron still been alive. I was happy the sisters were able to find love and happiness with Bezo and Denali. This book will have you laugh, cry and even become angry but overall I definitely recommend reading this book.

BriAnn!

The author just keeps pulling me into her world. I had a slight problem with the level of slang, but I'm good. The story spoke volumes. I liked the way the couples screamed the passion for one another. I was happy Logan and Bezo made it through. Jordyn stole my heart. Rome was a piece of poo... How does a Real man act that way over his daughter. Oh yeah. He wasn't a Real man. Denali and Kolbee, also showed readers what love looks like. The story started slow and gained momentum quickly. A great read...

Not this authors best work

Ii gad this book on over for a minute but decode to read if after reading another book by author. I really struggle with this book. I can’t you how many times this book was put back in the kindle library just to read another book. I expected more from Deron regarding his kids. Second, what was in the safe? Third, that whole but about him being a fraud and hustling the company kc our of her money had me looking at him side ways. I just didn’t care too much for this book.

This book was one I couldn’t put down. The story of Logan and Kolbee, half-sisters who grew up yearning for their father's love, was so touching. Logan and Kolbee grew closer despite their differences, and a scare they faced together strengthened their bond. I enjoyed this short read and witnessing how close the sisters became over time with the help of their dad.

The men who showed them they are indeed capable of loving are husband-worthy! They went above and beyond for these women. They’re great book boyfriends! 😍🩷

Another great collab!

Sooo good! I went from completely disliking Deron to feeling bad for him. I was happy to see the girls growing on each other. Logan definitely deserved to be loved after dealing with such a deadbeat baby daddy. He was absolutely terrible and there so many just like him in this world 🙄. Denali was so perfect for Kolbee. I found myself smiling so much at them. Loved this!

Very good collab showing the importance of a father daughter relationship. Deron did try to make it right for his daughters, despite mishaps during his younger years. Rome was pure evil & making it hard on himself. Logan & Kolbee were more alike than they realized. I was glad Denali & Bezo were around. Storyline with drama & content that kept me reading. Good message, nicely written standalone

Great Collab!

Deron made some mistakes, but his heart was in the right place. The girls were hurt and resentful toward each other at first, seeing their relationship grow was enjoyable. Jordyn was the star and bought everyone together. Denali and Bezo were made for the girls..almost like Deron knew. It was refreshing to read about sorry men instead of trifling women. Bryson, Rome and Young Cho were sad examples of a man, especially Rome.

Love Tale

I really did enjoy this story. In the beginning I felt the girls were ungrateful and inconsiderate because there Dad was in their life he wasn’t an absentee father like some others and jealousy and their mom’s history made them so bitter it took death for them to realize his love for both of them and also happiness to come to both. Dom and Briann did an excellent job

Flint Sisters Unit

The Flint sisters were in for the shock of their lives once everything hit the fan. Logan and Kolbee both longed for their father's love and hated each other until they were forced together. Bonds happen and so did love but it didn't come easy. I loved the realness of this story and all the characters were on point and helped its flow. As always I love reading books by these two authors. Your collaborations are dope and this book was no exception.

I enjoyed it from beginning to end, Deron may have done some wrong but one thing for sure he loved his girls and he made sure of that. So glad they got to become close after not being around each other, everything just played out soooo perfect. Denali and Bezo are definitely book baes! Great job ladies!!

You ladies did your thing with this book. It was good from beginning to end. The ladies were truly hurt by the lack of their fathers presence, even though he did try to be their as much as he thought was enough. He left them during pretty and he led them to their soul mates. The men were do alpha male in this book and they lived their women just how each one needed to be loved. Great job and can't wait to read more from you two.

*Grabs Tissue*. I don’t think I ever related to a book they way I did this one. Briann and Dominique showcased the power of black women. Two sisters coming together and forming a bond like no other. Feeling like you weren’t good enough for your father’s love takes a toll on you. Makes you not want to be open to love and makes you guarde. Deron tried to make things right with his daughters but it was too late. Eventually Logan and Kolbee were both able to find true love and happines. 100/10

Dammit! Denali is another book Bae!! When he told Bee that he would buy her a wig so he could pull on it, I damn near died!! I definitely need this book in paperback. Bezo is Zaaadday! He on the same level as Meechi to me! Dope as read ! Cried during the last scene w/ Deron and when Lo told him how she felt. I just knew it would be the last of it. Just loved the book!

Amazing.

All I can say is that I truly enjoyed reading this book. Deron finally got his girls together and they formed a strong loving bond with each other. Not only did they find love for each other, but they each found men who loved them unconditionally. BriAnn and Dominique are great authors.

A great read

This was a great standalone book. The storyline was very good. It was very interesting reading about the changes the ladies went through and how it made them stronger women.

The heart knows what it wants and it knew that Bezo and Denali were the best things for Logan and Kolbee.

I highly recommend reading this book
