Vampires, creatures of darkness.
Their favorite treats… storm sprites.

The blood of a storm sprite makes an intoxicating elixir for most supernatural beings, including vampires. After Killian, a reclusive vampire, comes across Sasha, a rare storm sprite, and saves her life, they develop an unlikely friendship. Because of his constant cravings for her blood, Killian keeps his distance while protecting Sasha from the supernaturals hungering for her. But as his behaviors change and he draws closer, Sasha’s no longer sure of his motivations. One day his cravings will become too much.

When a woman’s brutal murder spirals a hunt for an amulet that has demonic powers, Sasha and Killian are stuck between the feuding demons and vampires who are determined to possess the amulet’s secrets. Sasha must find the amulet for her protection—before she ends up on the wrong end of a demon’s blade, or worse, has her throat ripped out by the vampire she calls hers.

Meh. It was okay. Definitely not my favorite in this genre, but hey, it was free! :)

Content: innuendo, sexual references, sex behind closed doors with no details.

What a dark and unexpected read!

I'm a sucker for a good vampire story and when it's unique that's even better. The romance was a slow build and the fantasy world created nothing short of fantastic. I didn't want the book to end! Lots of intense action and dark moments. Filled my need for gritty vampires and sexy male leads. I didn't see the twist at the end coming. Kudos to the author!

I'm not normally a vampire girl, but I am a romance girl. This book is perfect for both!

The way Ms. Rector takes on the vampire challenge and makes them her own, while keeping true to stereotypes is nothing short of amazing. This is not Twilight. It's so much better.

Before long you'll be wishing you were one of Killian's "freshies." He's attractive, strong, and compassionate, the way a hero and vampire should be.

Sasha is not the average storm sprite. I love her balance of strength and innocence.

Set in modern day, there's lots of world building to satisfy the fantasy/paranormal lovers out there and the right mix of love to keep the romantics sighing and swooning.

The perfect read. Please let there be a sequel!

“My Vampire” is the first book in the “My Supernatural Boyfriend” Duology by E.E. Everly, a UF paranormal romance featuring the star-crossed relationship between a male vampire and a female storm sprite (MC). The plot offers a couple of unexpected twist and mixes vampire lore with demonic elements and a fresh take on storm sprites, who are supposed to possess a strange intoxicating blood that vampires cannot resist, some twilight subplot comes to mind.

Sasha is a relatively carefree young woman whose rare blood makes her a target for supernaturals; after being rescued from a vampire attack by Killian, the two MC develop a rare and uneasy friendship, after all Killian himself is a vampire too and thirsts for Sasha’s life. Somehow Killian manages to keep his distance while being her bodyguard at the same time. The situation is of course not tenable, and things become a lot more complicated when a demonic amulet comes into play and a full battle for its possession, has Sasha and Killian fighting demons, vampires and themselves.

“My Vampire” is, at under 200 pages, a medium length story, that despite focussing in the romance story, manages to include some interesting action and adventure elements in the mix. A fun read that manages to walk the line between steamy and mild romance with ease…. Beware of sad endings!

This was not what I was expecting. Interesting world building with three main supernaturals identified: vampires, storm sprites, and seed demons. Each has a distinct set of powers however, both demons and vampires desire storm sprite blood. This makes Sasha's existence fairly perilous. Enter Killian as her vampiric guardian angel. The romance was actually very sweet and clean. I love the interplay between Sasha and Killian. Also, Sasha's "ambrosia" is hilarious. The end was a complete surprise and I may need a hug, now.

My Vampire captured my intrigued from page one. What is this world of vampires, demons and storm sprites? I love the uniqueness to this supernatural world that Lisa Rector has created. A quick, fun read! I love the comic humor undertones and the comic romance.

It's definitely a vampire book. Yet it has a mix of other fantasy surprises. It had sexually charged area toward the end. It never showed but it talked about it as part of the actual storyline. Was it my favorite? No. Would I rea it again? No. Would I read the next in a series? Probably not.

I was enjoying this story and just hope the next book provides a resolution

The story was moving great until it took an unexpected and very unwelcome turn. If it doesnt resolve satisfactorily in the next book, that's it for me.

I love reading about vampires! Especially when they fall in love! The characters were very good. Just enough action. But of a sad ending.

I'm not usually a vampire fan, but I liked this take on vampires and storm sprites. The romance was steamy, but with restraints, which I appreciated. Really well written and I enjoyed it!

This book was definitely different from my expectations. It was a fun read but it was no doubt emotional. I was not expecting the ending, it was sadder and felt less complete than I would have liked.

What happens when a vampire wants to drink your blood because you are a supernatural tasty treat, but he also follows you around to protect you? This novel is delicious in more ways than one.

This novel is Reader Rated (RR) for ages 14+ for mild language, mild sensuality and kissing, which includes implied sex, and mild violence.

My Vampire got my attention with the not usual plot. I read lot of books about vampires and vampires in love, but the target was always human or some other mythical being, not like this time. Sasha isn’t human and that’s what makes her so interesting target for all the creatures, that’s how she meets with Killian. Killian is a kind of typical sexy vampire, who falls in love with his victim.
It was a really easy, fast pace read, filled with action and romance. After The Vampire Diaries and Twilight it’s a nice book for young adults and vampire fantasy lovers.
