Second Chances #1

Avery + Seth

Rate this book

***4,5 "I SEE YOU" stars from me***

This book was amazing!!! I wasn't expecting it but it touches deeply my heart...
Yeah, it was an ordinary story in a way, but somewhere in the development of the plot i felt my heart pounding loud in my chest for Seth and Avery...
I'm amazed by how touching was that book...

This was a story of a girl and a boy who fell in love...
This was a story of two worlds that collide...
This was a story of finding yourself and claiming the right to decide your own the course of your life...
This was a story about broken dreams and helpless people...
This was the story of a love so strong and deep that could change your life forever...

Avery was a rich girl that used to have everything she wanted.
I want lie to you... Sometimes in the beginning she was getting my nerves... She was acting so selfish, so bitchy, so daddy's girl... but she needed something to force her to reveal her true colours.
Avery was a girl that everyone thought that had it all... But she didn't have claim on her life. She always did what all the others wanted her to do, and she was satisfy with that!!!
Everything changed when she found her boyfriend cheating on her and lost it...

She smashed his car and then she had to pay for her actions by community service...

Seth was in prison for a year and now he was out and he had to make community service... His first night out, he and his buddy Ryan went for drinks and there he met this girl who made him a big impression... But when he had her exactly where he wanted, she slipped away from him...
Imagine his surprise when he met her on CS center and he realized that she was a spoiled rich girl...

She is not the right girl for him, but his heart has different opinion...

"I needed to focus... Needed to save my sister. Needed a million other things that weren't Avery.
But i've never really been good at staying away from what i want.
And fuck me if i didn't want her more than almost anything i ever had."

I enjoyed so much the interactions between Seth and Avery in the beginning. They were provoking each other all the time and they were acting a little bit immature... She was a major bitch and he was a big ass...
But when they let themselves loose, they were such sweethearts!!!

They were so right for each other even though their worlds were miles apart!!!

I loved Seth's character. He was strong and decent. I know that he was in prison, but he had all the right of the world with him... He cared so much about his sister and her condition was eating him alive... Avery gave him the calmness that he needed so desperately. She showed him what could be his life if he will decide to take the right path...

Avery from the other hand, was nothing as she was presenting in the beginning of the book. She was so kind, so sweet. Her heart was so big!!! Seth made her to realize what falling in love means. He made her realize that her life was depent on a lie and that she had to choose her own path.

I liked the fact that she never, not once, doubted Seth. She was by his side 100% and i loved her for that!!!!

"I will do whatever i can to help you... I promise you that. Just... know that you are worth someone fighting for you too. You fight for Sara and i'll fight for you. Okay?"...
"You make me feel feel fucking invincible, do you know that? No one has ever done that before."
"You make me feel real. Alive. No one has ever done that for me."

Finally, i would like to reffer Ryan, Seth's friend. His was a friend with a big "F" and that was worthy of telling!!!
Damn it!!! I really loved that book!!! I want more...

I LOVED this story! Seth just got out of prison after being locked away for a year. He was trying to protect his sister but was charged with assault and put in jail. When he gets out, he has to complete community service. Avery's dad is running for mayor and has a zero tolerance policy he is running on so when his own daughter gets caught trashing her cheating boyfriends truck, he wants her to be punished to show the voters he means what he says about zero tolerance. Avery has to complete 300 hours of community service picking up trash on the side of the road. Avery and Seth have a really fun first meeting - and it's not at the community service they are going to be completing together.

There was so much I loved about this book. It was steamy, sweet, had some good banter and I loved the characters. These two had amazing chemistry from the first time they meet and I loved their relationship development. My only complaint about this was that I didn't like the little drama at the end and I really wanted an epilogue. I'm so excited to see Ryan's book is next - I'm hoping we get a little more Avery and Seth in his book! I really loved this book and I can't wait to read more by this author!

It is so hard for me to resist a strong heroine. They are my weakness every bit as much as a believable yet lovable bad boy is and I'm happy to say that this book offers both, which is why from the very first chapter, I already liked Avery.

This truly isn't anything unheard of or that probably hasn't been done before with it's familiar tropes and cliches yet it was a fun read that I quickly finished in no time at all. I couldn't help but feel for both main characters and root for them along the way.

A fun setting, situation, and story line, this really is something that fans of the genre are going to devour and enjoy.

"One thing Carrie Underwood forgot to mention: after you take a Louisville slugger to his headlights, and after you slash all four tires of your cheating ex-boyfriend's truck, you get arrested and charged with willful destruction of property."

L.E. Bross delivers a stunning and sexy emotional heartfelt romance in her newest release, Right Where You Are. As an avid reader, I have read my fair share of books that dealt with the theme of spoiled rich girl falling in love with the bad boy from the other side of the tracks and after awhile the storyline can get generic. But in the case for Right Where You Are, Ms. Bross implemented a storyline of spoiled rich girl falling for the bad boy but made it so much more. She was able to douse her readers with layers upon layers of raw emotions that will make you FEEL.

#RightWhereYouAre

When Avery Melrose caught her longtime boyfriend cheating on her, she does what any sensible woman does at the time. She reacts and that means taking a bat and damaging his truck. So yes, Ms. Carrie Underwood, your song was taken into account but what Ms. Underwood forgot to mention is that you can face criminal misdemeanor charges for destruction of property. And for Avery Melrose that means 300 hours of community service and a hefty fine on property damages. In order for her to complete her 300 hours of community service, she is forced to take a semester off college. So this rich and spoiled daughter will have to trade in her designer clothes for an orange jumpsuit to picking up trash on the side of highways.

"She gave me hope that things could be better, and I needed that as much as I needed air to breathe. Avery was my air. And I might not deserve her, but I was going to do my damnedest to make her feel cherished and important."

Avery Melrose never thought her life would take a turn from sorority girl to now a girl with a misdemeanor record. It is often said things happen for a reason. And this mistake might actually be the best thing for Avery. When Avery meets Seth Hunter, who was recently released from prison, sparks of attraction was tangible from the start. Soon Avery begins to see the real Seth. She begins to know the young man who went to prison trying to protect his baby sister from their evil stepfather. As Avery and Seth begin to spend more time together with each other, Avery begins to find her true happiness. Seth brings out a whole new light and self-discovery. But what happens when Seth realize that he can't offer Avery the castle and the life she truly deserves? Can Avery make Seth see that she doesn't need prince charming, but only him?

"It didn't matter that I wasn't looking for complications in my life. This funny, innocent, unpredictable girl owned me now. And I knew without a doubt that I would give her anything she wanted. All she had to do was ask."

I adored Right Where You Are and the heartwarming message that it sends to readers. I love getting lost in a book where you can see the changes in Avery and Seth. Ms. Bross did an amazing job showcasing and emphasizing the gift of second chances. Avery was given the second chance to see her potential and to discover her true passion in life. And Seth was able to see that his criminal record doesn't define him. He may have been born on the other side of the tracks but it is up to him to make the changes in his life. And as for the love aspect of the story, this book was brimming with so much passion, sensuality, and palpable connections. While this book doesn't have an epilogue, the author ends this book with a satisfying HEA but a part of me wished for a bit more. The writing in this book was clean and precise. Overall, I enjoyed this refreshing New Adult Romance from L.E. Bross.

3 stars!***

Short story with a slow beginning and a slow middle and a whirlwind ending. Didn't blow my mind away but it also didn't disturb me in any way.. Just another book in a bunch that I'll forget about.

Avery has to do 300 hours of community service, because she busted her ex-boyfriends of four years car for cheating on her.

Seth has just been released from prison. He's spent a year there for assaulting his stepfather who's a major son of a bitch - he hooked his little sister on drugs and pimped her out.

Those two meet in a bar on the night Seth was released and almost slept together.. The next day they meet again. In the bus that's heading to a road which they'll be cleaning for the next two months.

To be honest I don't have much to say about this one. I kind of don't really remember what happened. And I just finish reading it!

Well.

Avery used to do everything her parents wanted her to and suddenly after meeting Seth she wanted to be "her". Guess he opened her eyes and all but shouldn't she have realized it herself and want to change for herself and not for some guy?

Seth was pretty narrowminded. He had one goal and nothing else mattered. After meeting Avery his priorities shifted and he was mostly with Avery. Then he started blaming himself and pushed Av away so that his sister could be the center of his mind again.

I don't think that those two match very well. Opposites attract and all I know, but these two were just too different and in some ways too same.

Also Avery's father was one big asshole. He manipulated everything and everyone. Ugh.

The ending was too rushed. The whole book was so slow and in the end where majority of the plot happens it's only on 20 pages max.

If this is going to be made into a series I'm not sure I'll try to read the next one.

Hmm still the second chapter but liking it a lot so far ;)

Actual Rating=4.85 stars

Oh my god, another one of those really cute books that actually made my heart ache. Literally my heart was hurting in the last few chapters. Ahhhhhhhh!!!! I have so much pent up emotions right now after this

So the story was about how two people meet during a bad time of their lives or maybe one of the worst. Avery for a stupid move and Seth for something that actually mattered. They started off on a wrong foot but both of them bounced back pretty good and quickly. Their chemistry was so visible that even blind man would have known. But their hit headed-ness kept them apart for a few weeks but basically in the end they figured that two of them were pretty perfect for each other. Well some fucked up shit happened and they got their happy ending? Hmm I wouldn't call it the happy ending but something close to that. Or maybe I can stay it as the beginning of their happy ending? Anyway the two of them sure made my heart totally hurt from reading the book. And nope it wasn't in a bad way. It was the totally good heart ache. The heart ache you love to have when you read an awesome book. They also wanted me to again feel so lonely :( Books rarely do that for me these days but this made me rethink my life in a way. I mean my love life not real life :D
As my parting words I would like to say that it looked a lot like a book written by Jessica Sorenson. For some reason the storyline was similar to what you would read i one of her books. I also like to add that L.E.Bross is just as good as Sorenson too. Well you Sorenson lovers make sure to read this super awesome book too ;)
Also I've got to say the cover is pretty good and fitting :) Love it

I received an eArc from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

First off I think I should let you know – in case that you hadn’t figured out yet – this is a New Adult book, and it has a lot of sexual content (hemhem… very EXPLICIT sexual content). So, if you don’t like it, or are not comfortable, you should skip this book, because really people, it has a LOT (and I couldn’t be happier)! I read this book in one day, people…

This is a super fast paced story, told in dual point of view – we get a chapter by Avery, one by Seth and so on, which really allows us to meet the 2 main characters quite well. I liked them both so much! Avery was a little stuck up at first, but poor thing, I got it: she found her boyfriend of 4 years in bed with someone else, destroyed his truck, and the SOB pressed charges? I would be more than pissed. And to top it off, her politician father makes her an example of tough law? I mean… she just destroyed a truck! After that she has to pick up trash? Give up a whole semester of college and all that came with it? Oh man!

Seth is likable right from the start, we learn early on that he went to jail for attacking his step-father, a drug dealer responsible for his mother’s death and pimping out his baby sister. Who doesn’t love Seth already, right? To top it off he’s hot as hell (and he has a lot of talents that we learn later on…).

The lust comes hot and heavy right from the beginning, and it made a lot of sense, really. The love however – not that the word is ever used – comes a lot later and after a few weeks of butting heads. It’s beautiful, because we can see how much they want each other but are not willing to admit it. When they finally let go and admit it, oh well, it’s all fireworks!

Both of them have a big character growth, with Avery finally stepping up for what she wants and not following the plans that her parents laid out for her, and Seth finally wanting something more in life for himself (as much as for Avery and Sarah).

I liked the writing, the two voices were very distinct, and the writing was easy and fast. Seth sex-talk was a bit much for me sometimes, but I won’t argue about it because it is effective. And he says the most romantic things!!! I won’t splatter them here, but you should definitely read them to see what I mean.

I did see a couple of small problems with the plot, but nothing major. The premise was simple and, again, affective, but although I commend Avery for totally destroying the jerk’s car, I don’t think she had enough feelings for him to do so, but I can buy it on the “betrayal” level. I do think that in the end she forgave him too easily, even if he justified all his actions, he still did an horrible thing, and I didn’t agree with their truce and friendship. I was also pissed by the way Seth reacted near the end, I think that Avery deserved better than that – lucky for him, he was able to redeem himself. I also think that Shari disappeared too easily from Avery’s life once she got to college, given that they weren’t that far away, I would expect – and wanted – a little girl time, maybe discussing Avery’s new relationship with Seth.

But that’s not really that important! It was a great book and I hope we get to see more of Seth and Avery in the next book, about Ryan ( :D – we already know that he’s also good at a lot of stuff… thanks Shari!), Whatever It Takes.

By the way, Seth is boyfriend material! Any guy who can keep his girlfriend THAT happy without even taking his clothes off, deserves all the praise! – Again people… very explicit material in this book… go read it!

Right Where You Are is L.E. Bross's first attempt at a New Adult romance and she has nailed it! First off, look at that cover. It's so simple, yet totally adorable. By the time I was 2% in, I was already laughing and soaking this book up like a sponge. The premise isn't anything we haven't seen before: rich girl falls for ex-con bad boy, and if that alone doesn't grab your attention, the substance and delivery will.

Arriveranno a toccarsi, desiderarsi, sedursi.

I think I found a new series that I am in love with! Avery is in her last year of college and catches her boyfriend cheating on her. After seeing it with her own eyes she goes Carrie underwood on his ass. She ends up with community series, paying for the damages and finding true love.

Seth went to prison trying to protect his sister now that he is out he has made it his mission to finally help her. His first day out him and Ryan head to a bar and he becomes quickly fixed on the lovely Avery. But him getting together with her is going to take a whole lot of patience because she is a fire cracker.

What I really loved about this story was how different Avery and Seth were. He grew up in a trailer park and she has money. But when they are together you can see the fire works going off between them.

I liked Avery although she came from money she wasn't spoiled. One of my favorite parts of the book is when she showed up for CS and is shocked what she has to do. It showed her looking spoiled but as I continued to read you can see that she isn't. Avery also had a lot of spunk which was usually directed at Seth but it was cute.

I adored how sweet Seth was. Sure he had a messed up life and wanted to get his life back on track but he wanted to do with Avery by his side. Of course there are bumps in the road but I just loved the playfulness between these two. They were star crossed lovers that end up finding each other in the end.

Bross is a new author to me but I though she did well in executing this story and making me fall in love with these wonderful characters. I am really looking forward to this series and it looks like Ryan's book will be next! Yippee!!

If you love HEA and new adult books this is the book for you. Add this to you tbr.

Another CLEAR MY NETGALLEY SHELVES read.

Right Where You Are is another prime example of how much I love mindless romance. It's so formula and, in this case, it's the writing that makes or break it. I really struggled through the first 25%, these characters were so immature, but it got better as the romance and drama picked up, to the point that I was hooked and read quickly. Unfortunately, even once it improved I couldn't shake the initial part of the book from my head. A formula romance book needs to grab you from the start, I want to escape life, not slog through pages. So, while I ultimately enjoyed this one, it could've been better.

description

Why is this the first novel I've come across by L.E. Bross? Where the hell has this author been my whole life? How could I not know about her?!? This just floors me. There are just so many unknown to me authors that are amazing and leave me cursing all of the lost time I've had not reading their books.

Here's the deal ... I gave this thing five stars because it's pretty badass. I could go on and on about how much I love the characters and how Bross writes an AMAZING flawed character or how the book kept me interested throughout the entire thing and how I didn't skip one paragraph/sentence/period in the whole darn book. I'll be honest, I can't pick out the things that I loved about the book because I loved everything about this whole book.

I enjoyed the story. A lot. Like I said, there wasn't really any slow point where I just wished that the book would move along and there weren't any spots where I felt like information was missed or something important was skipped over. Everything was just perfect. I couldn't have wished for a better written or more thought out novel.

The characters were ... you guessed it ... amazing. Both Avery and Seth were completely screwed up. Maybe in different ways but their lives were on a one-way track to despair until they met each other. I'm always going on and on about how a great author can write a perfectly flawed character and either drag them down further or pick them up. Watching both transformations is completely mesmerizing to me. I want to go into more depth about the characters but at the same time, I don't want to ruin it ... I will say this ... you will fall super hard for Seth and Avery and you'll love their love story almost as much as they do.

I've waxed poetic enough about the book. It's good, you should read it and if you don't, you're a weirdo who doesn't enjoy a good romance novel. This is one of my all-time faves! So quit reading this and go get it.

4.5 out of 5 stars

First of all let me tell you, this book has some mature content so if you’re too young or you don’t feel comfortable about that this is not for you. If you haven’t noticed I’ve been in a huge contemporary mood so when I saw this book on NetGalley and read the blurb I knew that I wanted to read it.
The story starts when Avery, one of the main characters, is sentenced to community service for vandalizing her ex-boyfriend of 4 years new car after she caught him cheating. In community service she meets Seth who is fresh out of prison where he spend 1 year after trying to protect his sister. I loved their chemistry and how they «hated» each other in the beginning because of something that happened. I really loved this characters. Avery his a rich girl who actually cares about other people but that has other people making the important choices in her life. Seth has had a really difficult life but he still cares a lot about the people around him. I loved both characters, especially Seth. It was amazing to see their relationship through the book and how they changed and develop because of the presence of each other in their life. There were some decisions that they made that I didn’t like but I understand where that come from. Something that I didn’t like was how easily Avery forgave what her ex did to her. Yes he had an explanation but it wasn’t that good. I really didn’t like Avery’s parents and how they wanted to take all of her decisions. Her mother even decided what she should wear in events and that’s just stupid.
Overall, this was surprisingly a really good book and I want to read the next one that is about Seth best friend, Ryan. Not only that but I really want to read more books written by L. E. Bross. If you love new adult contemporary and have no problems with mature content you should definitely check this book because it’s really enjoyable.

"If anything more happens between us, I won't be able to walk away and forget. We haven't done anything except kiss, and I can't get you out of my fucking head."

Seth is a romantic guy I mean damn, Avery has a good man, "he kissed me again, only this time it was teasing and gentle. His hand curled around my jaw and he stroked his thumb over my kiss-swollen lips. “The effing zombie apocalypse couldn’t keep me away.” Seth likes to plan activities he knows his woman would enjoy, “Saturday morning. It’s a date,” he said against my skin. “No clothes. No plans. You. Me. This bed and maybe the couch, or the table, or the . . .” He oomphed when I elbowed him. “I take back my own rule. The plan is now to have you in every single room of your place. That might take all day.” I really enjoyed this book. I thought the characters were well developed.

You can not help but falling in love with the story and the characters. The honesty, love, devotion and the strength the characters are have is awesome to read about.

The rich girl, the bad poor boy from the wrong side of the tracks is a great read however this book just took it further and made it 10 times better.

This book was beautifully written and makes you feel so many different emotions. From laughing to crying and all the in-between. I highly recommend this book. My only vice on this book is....I wish it had an epilogue.

This book is So. Damn. Good! It's not your typical NA romance, it's so much more! A relationship between an overindulged rich girl and a fresh out of prison parolee should never work but Avery and Seth have that perfect balance and chemistry that can't be denied. This is one of those books that once you start it you have to read just a little bit more. For her first stab at a contemporary NA book, this author hit it out of the park! Can't wait for Ryan's story.

I definitely recommend this one.

Avery Melrose and Seth Hunter could not be more different from each other. Despite the fact that they're both serving community service time for crimes they committed, they come from polar opposite sides of the tracks, and it shows. Seth is trying to overcome his trailer park past, save his sister from a life he can't stand her living, and figure out how to patch together the mess his life has become. Avery is every inch the spoiled princess, living the life her parents have picked out for her and not brave enough to stand up to them in order to live the life she actually wants. A romance between the two is surely doomed from the start, but tell that to their explosive chemistry and needy hearts.

What starts as an insane attraction towards each other blossoms into real feelings once these two take the time to get to know each other. It's not easy. Avery is damn near completely unlikeable at first—stuck up in the way of girls who have been spoiled their entire lives can be. The way that indicates she doesn't even know how insufferable she actually is. Seth, in response, puts up his walls and becomes a bit of an asshole. Only time spent together can get past these outer-shells and allow them to see the genuine people underneath.

I enjoyed this story a lot. I struggled with Avery's character sometimes, and really struggled with some of the decisions made as the book reached its boiling point. Seth can be a bit of a hothead and I just wanted to give him a good shake and set him back on track. The ending also felt a little abrupt to me—I'm not usually a stickler for an epilogue, but I would have really loved one as part of this book.

Those criticisms aside, there were things I really LOVED about this book. In particular, I loved how Avery grew over the course of the story. I loved the way her relationships evolved with her family and with her ex-boyfriend and, of course, with Seth. I love how, in the end, she was strong and brave and not overly dramatic. I almost went to complete extremes with Avery—borderline hate at the start, absolute love at the end.

For the most part, the heat between Avery and Seth was just right as well, and balanced nicely with the genuine friendship they built. They were sweet and tender with each other. Even though the odds were stacked against them, it was impossible not to root for them!

In all, I enjoyed this book. I wish there had been maybe a little more to it, especially in the end, but it's the first in a series, so I suspect maybe we'll get an update on Seth and Avery as the series moves forward. I look forward to it! ~ Shelly, 3.5 stars

I thought this book was a quick and fun read. I loved the banter between the two main characters, Seth and Avery. I always enjoy romances with great banter. Seth and Avery also had off the charts chemistry that lead to some very steamy moments! I was immediately hooked by those factors. However, I felt like the story sort of dragged at some points. I felt like the book was way too focused on the sex and sexual chemistry, which caused me to loose interest in the book at certain times. I wanted to see more of an emotional connection between Seth and Avery. I would enjoy maybe reading a sequel where they didn't constantly have sex. Don't get me wrong, the sex scenes were steamy and well written, I just wanted less of it.

I thought Avery and Seth were both interesting characters. I felt so bad for them and the situations they were put in. I was rooting for them to get their happy ending. I especially felt bad for Seth. I just wanted to give him a hug!

At times, the characters really annoyed me and the dialogue between the characters seemed a little forced. I also just didn't like how focused they were on sex. Other than that, I liked this book! I thought the author did a great job and making the plot flow.

Overall, this was a enjoyable read. It was very entertaining at times, and I blew through this book. Sure, there were things I wanted to change in this book, but I liked the book as a whole.

RECENSIONE COMPLETA QUI: http://larapunzeldeilibri.blogspot.it...

Here I thought, wow a spoiled rich girl and an angry, filled with negativity male lead – how soon will it be before I want to put myself in the story and just shake the crap out of both of them?

BUT NO. NO. NO. I WAS SO WRONG.

The character development was phenomenal. I loved the amount of communication these two had with one another. We get a feel of Avery more so than Seth just because the rich girl trashing her cheating boyfriend’s truck is the oldest trick in the book. Now she’s throwing a fit because she has to do community service after getting caught? And she thinks it’s unfair?

To be honest though, it was unfair. DON’T CHEAT? IT’S SIMPLE. You break my heart? I break your car. The end. I mean I would never do that… but if I had the money to cover it up… I might.

These two are polar opposites and it works SO well together. They both have so much to offer the other person and they don’t even know it. Avery and Shari, her best friend, decide it’s time for a night out and dress up as strippers named Bambi and Fancy. Enter Seth and his best friend Ryan, who are here for booze and boobs. Funny enough, they don’t have to go too far for both because they find Fancy and her friend next to the bar, and they all hit it off with one another. Seth is tall, dark and handsome. With his built body and tattoos, you’re already swooning. Add in some dark, smoldering eyes, stubble and a buzz cut, YUM?!

This book just had great progression from the first to the last page. The plot, characters, everything, it moved flawlessly through each chapter and I was very happy with it in the end.

I received this free eARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I was very excited to dive right into this novel when I got the eARC! I loved the synopsis and was looking forward to seeing how these two characters reacted toward one another.

For the most part I enjoyed this novel. I did have a rough time with Avery at first, especially when she was first getting assigned the community service hours and expecting to be in the office delivering coffee or whatnot. Just because she's always been spoiled and got what she wanted doesn't mean that the judge or community is going to treat her the way she's used to.

But I warmed up to her after awhile, when she finally stopped using her name and family's money to expect things from society. In fact, by the end of the book she wasn't like that at all, which was great character development for Avery.

I loved the tension and atmosphere between Avery and Seth. The way they met was hilarious and I wish I could have actually seen the looks on their faces when they saw each other at community service. Once Avery got the stick out of her butt, the relationship between these two flew off the page.

Seth is a great character. He got a harsh punishment for a crime that was justified to have happened. And he is so loyal and charming and dedicated to his cause. I'm very jealous of Avery!

Because of Avery's personality at the beginning of the novel, that is why this book got 3 stars. Otherwise I would have definitely given it more stars because I really liked the overall story! So glad to have gotten an eARC and will definitely be looking out for more novels by L.E. Bross!

I received an ARC copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
It was an ok reading for me. I felt it a little bit rushed in some parts, I understand feeling lust at first sight, but I needed that the main characters interacted more with each other before failing in that I’ll-do-anything-for-you stage. I wanted to know them more.
It is a nice reading to have a good time. Not memorable, just nice. Despite that, I’d like to know more of the other characters, so I may read the other books in the series.

Community Service is the end point of Avery Melrose's tantrum when she finds her longterm boyfriend humping another woman behind her back, only to meet Seth Hunter - the almost one-night stand in a bar - there as well, a very recent ex-con who'd just about ruined his life the past few years. After a very rocky start, Avery and Seth find themselves gelling in a way no one could have thought two people from opposite sides of the track would, but there're a number of apparently insurmountable obstacles that narrow that path to happiness.

'Right Where You Are' surprised me more and more (in a good way) after I ploughed through Avery's spoiled rich girl antics and the early shrewish behaviour that made me initially wonder if I made the right decision in picking up this one. In particular, I loved seeing the unwavering pillar of support she became for Seth and the sweetness of their growing relationship that faltered only towards the end, regretting only that the bittersweet end came too soon.
