3.5stars. I was so looking forward to this book but feel slightly let down due to some details that should have been better. I love a good shifter story but I also like it to be believable and make sense.
I was enjoying this even with the dishonesty angle until three quarters of the way in, when it just went sideways for me.
Loved learning more at long last about Luke and why he was the distant sibling. His teenage attitude was understandable and I loved that he apologised to his parents.
Luke has a right to his anger when he finds out the truth about Georgina but just rolls over and all is forgiven when he is told she had no choice. Really!
And he doesn’t kill The Chief or Adrian when they are in his paws. Just NO.
I hate dishonesty, even by omission and the heroine in this story is full of it.
I felt sorry for Georgina and her early life but after the truck incident, why didn’t Georgina just go and tell everyone or even someone the truth. She must have known who it was and that she would not get away from the Organisation without help.
Instead of thinking about betraying the people of Blackstone Mountain who had been so good to her without conditions.
Why did she have sex with Luke after he had just found about the decimation of his Pride, knowing what she did?
Just too much eye rolling annoyance for me to enjoy the crux of this story. The Chief was just a bit too over the top crazy for me to hate.
Loved the twist about the chief but why didn’t Georgina give them all more information? name, sex, something for them to look into. The others are at fault too as the first thing I would have asked was WHO is the Chief?
Not tidied up at the end either.
What happened after the baddies were arrested? it was like they were forgotten about. No explanation of anything.
If they have as much clout as they said they did, they will never go to court, let alone jail.
As much as I loved this story and the twist with The Chief, the big ending with The Organisation was a letdown for me.
Did like the little bit with Kate and Petros.
This is my honest review of this book.

Yay!! We finally get to my favorite mysterious shifter in the Lennox family, Luke. Adopted into the family when he was found as a cub he is a lion shifter in a family of dragon shifters. As a adult he is estranged from his family for the most part and lives a solitary life coming to the Lennox’s only when needed.
Georgia Mills and her shifter son Grayson were saved, from a group of people that were kidnapping and experimenting on shifters, by Luke in previous book Blackstone Wolf.
Luke and Georgia find themselves attracted to each other, but Luke doesn’t want to be around anyone not even a beautiful woman who could be his mate and her young son who needs help controlling his shifting.
Georgia knows if Luke finds out her dark secret he and everyone in Blackstone will be after her and possibly her son.
Oh my goodness, Montgomery has got writing a story about reluctant mates down pat and does a awesome job at it.
I have so been waiting for Luke’s story since book one, wanting to know what makes him tick and where he came from. This story was so worth the wait.
Luke and Georgia have both been through so much in their lives they are like two halves that form a whole,
Seeing them find themselves and seeing Luke interact with Grayson is totally awesome. A love story at it’s finest.
Plus, no Blackstone Mountain story is complete without the antishifter group making a appearance and boy do they make one in this one.
I can’t wait to see who is next to find love on Blackstone Mountain.

The Blackstone Lion: Blackstone Mountain Book 5
by Alicia Montgomery
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m a big fan of Alicia Montgomery; her paranormal romance series, Blackstone Mountain series is wonderfully inventive and unique, it's one of my favorites and I have enjoyed all of her books , I enjoyed The Blackstone Lion it's just so amazing, as are all the books in this series, it's as unique as all of her books in this serie. They all have a “WOW” factor that I’ve come to expect from Alicia Montgomery. It's a very enjoyable read and I will definitely continue with the other books in the series. Blackstone Mountains series will always be on my top ten reads. I am really enjoying this second series by Alicia Montgomery.
Black Loin gives us some fantastic main characters with a surprising twist that will totally rock the series. Luke Lennox doesn't feel his animal can handle loving a mate. But Georgina Mills has a bigger secret that will leads us to the Chief, and more specifically, the head of the Organization's family. The entire Blackstone community, the parents and all of the family leads this mission. Luke finds out that Georgina is right in the thick of things, her son will help save the town but he doesn’t even know his mother's secret or why the bad men have a reason to kill him. Luke and Georgina has an undeniable spark and begin to learn from each other about their respective lives. When they learn that Georgina is made to be apart of the attacked on Blackstone, but she gives Greyson the courage to shift into a bear cub and find help. I really enjoyed the world building in Blackstone Mountain series . Though many things followed familiar elements, Alicia always adds unique but interesting aspects to the worlds she creates, I really enjoyed descriptions of the different shifters corresponding to their different animals. The Blackstone Mountain is a place were shifters live rather safe from a lot of prejudice. The Dragons are the leaders but Luke is their adoptive son though he feels let them down. Blackstone dragons are very family oriented and it makes the community stronger and more lovable — great traits for a community to have. Luke is determined to find out about his pride as loin shifters are rare he thought that it would not take long and because of this he felt his parents are keeping things from him. But they only wanted to love and protect him. Georgina wanted to help him realize how much they love him. This makes the story more emotional and Georgina is able to show Luke she can help him and his lion to become more stable and even-tempered. In this story the only drawback is that she couldn't tell him her secret because she felt he would feel betrayed. I can imagine this could be both physically and psychologically difficult for her. But their chemistry is off the chart hot, and Oh my their romance is so hot and steamy and just downright sexy. I found them more interesting of the couples because of Luke struggles to fit in because he is a lion with a family of Dragons and his lion was very restless before he found his mate, plus his lion is a alpha but the twins dragons are raised to be Alpha that's probably the reason his Lion didn't let him sleep until his mate came along, that's all questionable. There is an interesting dynamic between Luke and his family because of it and I really enjoyed seeing that play out. I still have some questions about the organization and I think that took away from Georgina character for me. I would have liked to see her explain her family involvement as Blackstone Mountain went on, but maybe that will come in time. The romance between the two came on fast, but it was also pushed by a lot of danger and conflict. I do think they fit together and have found something they were both missing previously. My favorite character in the story is Georgina son Greyson. I can’t wait for the next story and to learn more about the family abilities. All in all, Blackstone Mountain is a great series and unique. There is a lot more family who has to find their mate and the next two books with each of the sister's stories which will introduced their mate to carry their own story. Blackstone Mountain is a series always full of hot steamy and exciting characters that gives us a lot of new insight into the world the organization are inhabiting. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Alicia has a knack for closing out a series in a way that has you wanting to start it all over again. You just don't want it to end. Luke gets his shot at love. If you read Nathan's story then you know who his mate is.

Way to blindside me though Alicia! Was not expecting all these secrets to come out. Holy macaroni! Continuing to keep you on your toes. Alicia delivers another stellar read that will have you purring in delight.

This latest of the Blackston series brings the big bad evil to light. We get to see just how hateful people can be. I don't normally compare, but this hatred that Alicia captured, is seen in the real world. it was written so well and shows that no matter what, love and kindness win. Luke has been hurt, but he has also caused the hurt. he finds his mate and wants to come to terms with that pain. His struggle was written to where you could feel his pain. My heart hurt for him. He is a strong apex predator who is a big ball of fury just wanting love. What he failed to realize, as he already had that unconditional love and acceptance, he was too blind to see it. You could feel the emotions warring within him. Watching each relationship with his siblings was unique and warmed your heart. The interaction with him and Riva. Yes Yes Yes !!! So excited and you aren't left hanging. There is a resolution and it couldn't have been more perfectly woven into this story.

Georgina is the girl that needs saving from herself and the big bad men. She will do anything to protect her son Grayson. As a mom of a 6-year-old, I could see so much of the same heart, grit, sleepless nights and unconditional love. I think she doesn't realize her own strength.

The entire clan joins to defeat the big bad. This reunion was warm, but also powerful. I enjoyed how the tension was captured. The shifter emotions were written in a way you could feel them permeating off of the pages.

I have a feeling that not all of the big bad is gone, but we will have to wait and see what Alicia comes up with next. She did give us a hint as to the next one to find their mate. I cannot wait for that story to be realized.

If you like shifters, I recommend this series and story. I don't think this one would be a good stand alone. There is a bit in this story, that might be lost if it is read first, or by itself. All that said, these stories are great! They all have their unique way for each to be mated. They grow throughout the story and aren't the same.

A 5 pointe shoe read for me. Mainly because I've read it more than once AND I still get emotional!

From the very beginning of the Blackstone Mountain series Luke has been a very mysterious, troubled and closed off character. In this story we find out what brought him to Blackstone all those years ago, without a memory or pride and in such a terrible state. Finding out what happened to him was heart-breaking. Luke has always seen himself as an outcast and out of control lion within a family of dragons and has pushed away his adopted family thinking he didn't deserve them, but if anyone deserved to be loved its Luke.
Georgina is such a brave person, she escaped from a cult of hate that she didn't believe in so that she could love her child. Reading about her being able to love her son, Grayson, so much when all she was brought up to do was hate was inspiring and beautiful.
Grayson was an amazing little boy who was brave and sweet and funny, even after everything that he had gone through.
Finding out who the chief is was a bit of a shocker (gender wise). Reading about so much hate makes you think about all the hate that is in the world today and it's shocking to realise that there is hate in this world, but what this book helps you to remember is that good will always be fighting bad. All we have to do is believe and fight for love, equality and peace.
I really enjoyed this book in the end there was a lot of love and the last chapter had me in tears and there was a beautiful happy ending. You seriously won't regret reading this book.

I really enjoyed this story!! It was great to finally get to know Luke better and find out what was going on with him and what had caused the rift. Luke is definitely a complicated character in the rest of the books as he stands apart from his family but he always appears to help them out. It's clear he cares and the rest of the family loves him as well. Georgina has been rescued but for her, it isn't over. She knows the chief is still going to be coming after her and she isn't sure what to do or who she can trust. Luke knows immediately that Georgina is his mate but he doesn't think he deserves her or is good enough. Georgina is human and so doesn't know that she is his mate but she is drawn to him. Luke has a hard time staying away from her and he continues to check up and watch out for her on his patrols. Because of that he finds himself helping out with some things. I loved how they took things slower and that Luke was so open about things once he decided to make a move. This story will definitely draw you in from beginning to end. There is plenty of action and intrigue along with the rest of the story. The sex is explicit but not frequent at all. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one.

The Blackstone Lion is the fifth book in the Blackstone Mountain Series and can stand alone, but definitely builds on the previous books. All that Luke knows is that his lion is going crazy, he has torn his family apart, and according to his lion, he found his mate. Georgina was recently rescued from an anti-shifter organization, she lives for her son, feels a pull towards Luke, but knows that at any moment, the Chief will find her again. As Luke and Georgina grow closer, so does the danger. Will Georgina lose everything at the hands of the Chief, or will she gain everything, including friendships and love?

Holy smokes, I have been waiting for this book since the series started, and it was amazing!! I loved Luke and Georgina, I loved Grayson, I loved the problems they faced, and I loved how everything ended! It was nice to see that they had differences, but they were similar where everything mattered. One brought strengths where the other had a weakness, and Grayson brought an element of innocent love and humor that really wrapped the whole story up. Obviously, I loved this book. I’m super excited to see where this series will go next and I highly recommend reading it!

Lonely Lion

Luke Lennox was a loner, he thought he had bad blood. He was adopted by the Lennox family when he was younger.
Nathan was approached by a friend who remained him that he owed her a favorite. Said her younger sister was missing and the police were doing nothing. They found out another girl is missing too. So Nathan along with his wife and Luke went looking for information.
The found a old factory and inside they found a doctor with the missing two girl on a table. They also found another lady and child in a cage. Georgina Mills with her son Grayson went to stay at the Lennox castle.
Luke likes her his lion says mine.
Georgina thought she escaped the Chief all they want to do is eliminate all the shifters. But the Chief right hand showed up and wanted her to insert a thumb drive into Lennox computer or they would tell them about other. She didn't do it but got caught, Luke feels she lied and wants nothing to do with her and leaves.
All the drama that unfold and calling family to help stop the Chief. Georgina and Grayson are taken.
All works out in the end.

This is it !! The book that i have been waiting for . My Luke .. Luke has been my absolute favourite ever since he was found all battered and hurt by Hank and Riva .. To be honest, i was quite skeptical about this because based on Violet's book, Georgina already had a little cub,Grayson . I wasn't too sure as i was confused on whether she already had a mate or was she rejected . But..i'm so glad i put that assumption aside cause this book is absolute perfection ! Both of them seems to think they each have a baggage to carry and that they don't deserve the other . Selfless people . Both Luke and Georgina . Grayson was a joy to read, i love Luke's interaction with Grayson . The romance between them builds up gradually but it was still absolutely sizzling ! Georgina's past was really quite a shocker as it ties up with everything that has been happening in Blackstone and also Luke's past . I was so glad to have finally read this , but now i can't wait for Kate's book . From what we've seen ,it's gonna be wild ! 5 stars for you Alicia for this splendid book !!! :)

The last of the Lennox men, Luke, finds his mate during a rescue misssion but believes that she already has a mate, because she is mother to a young bear shifter cup.
Unable to resist, he keeps an eye on them and helps where he can.
Finding out she is unattached does not necessarily make the situation better, as Luke has to fight his inner demons.
Georgina, his human mate, has her own reasons to stay away and they get closer very reluctantly, but inevitable.
Both have to bring their demons to the light to find help from each other as well as their family and friends.
For a long time I had wondered, what kind of a mate Luke would have and I am definitely not disappointed. He needed someone fierce and no-nonsense, but at the same time the motherly type. I love Georgina for the way she complements Luke. I had received this book as an ARC and this is a voluntary review. In my mind, this may be Ms. Montgomery's best match in this series yet.

I voluntarily read this ARC copy. Another great book for Alicia. I loved this story where we finally get to know more about Luke, where he came from and why he seems to be so moody. He unfairly blames himself for what happened to his family (pride). He was only a child when it happened and couldn't have stopped it. I loved his reaction to seeing his mate and his nobility to leave her since she has a cub and must have a mate. He is very careful with Grayson which shows the love he is capable of. We finally learn more about the organization that is hunting and killing shifters Can't wait for more Blackstone Mountain stories, there are still more children to pair up. In the end of the story it shows Grayson’s bravery and that he belongs with these people and be part of this family group. They are a group who aren't related but chose to be family.

Luke and Georgina

Well, we finally got Luke's story and I am so happy!
We saw Georgina at the end of the last book. She and her son Grayson were kidnap victims at a hidden lab who were rescued by Nathan, Violet and Luke. Luke knew right away that she was his mate but he felt broken and undeserving. So he ignored her or pushed her away.
When they finally started to get together and have a relationship, things from both of their pasts interfered. We also learn why Luke ostracized himself from his family.
I am loving the whole community of Blackstone. When times get tough in this town, you can count on all of the family and friends to come to the rescue. Oh and Grayson is an adorable five year old little boy who will have your heart melting with the sweet things he says and does.

Blackstone Mountain (5)

Luke is a lion, he was found as a cub by The Lennox couple who adopted him, made him part of their family after searching and finding no trace of his respondents or even the Pride he came from. He works for the Lennoxes now but 10 years previously he cruelly told his parents he wasn't part of their family, that they hadn't tried hard enough to find his real family. He is still full of anger, but guilt too. So he lives alone, works hard, patrols at night looking for danger. Still helps with fighting their enemies, statesmen he sees her, his lion says mate, he says no, she has a cub. After the Lennoxes rescue her and her son, Georgina has found a home, friends and a job. She dosn't dare relax though, if they know who she is they'd none of them want her, especially Luke. Then her past finds her.

First ones good

The first books in the series were good, really short. I can finish them in a few hours in the evening. Good romance, good story, a few sexy scenes and a few good laughs. There was some dry humor which I really enjoyed. The female character this time just irked me. Some of the usual ‘I have a secret I can’t reveal’ in all the books. Which was kinda of annoying but only a minor distraction in the whole of the story. So definitely five ***** for the other books - quick fun read. This one dropped a 4 cause I got issues with when your lies endanger so many people (yes it’s just a story but principles people) and then she barely even apologized, he did??? What, I hate the word whipped and b*@#, but I’ll go there. Indecisive about moving on, may switch up, or may take chance and see if there is another five star in the wings?

Oh, my goodness, Georgina could almost be called a lion-tamer! Luke was introduced in the earlier books as a troubled loner; here we get his backstory and learn exactly why he's avoided making connections. He still tries to keep his distance from Georgina and Grayson, despite his lion's claim that she's his mate. Their romance is so sweet, so tender, and a little heartbreaking once we realize the secret that she's keeping. I thought the revelations about the Organization and its Chief were nicely teased out; we saw the preliminary developments in the previous books and it all came together in a dramatic ending with a dash of crazy. The healing of Luke's heart was long overdue, and it was so nice to see him reconcile with his family. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Hear the Lion’s Roar!!!

I was so excited to read Luke’s story...he has always been the most intriguing character and I’ve loved his interactions within all the other books but I’ve wanted to know his background so bad and now here it is!!! Getting to know about what happened to his family and how he came to be adopted by the Lennox Family was a beautifully sad story so I’m glad that he didn’t have to fight to hard to win over Georgina and convince her she’s his mate! Although, getting to know Georgina’s background was very surprising and unexpected leading up to a very dramatic truth sharing session! I loved Luke and Georgina story and this was the first story that had me in an emotional overload!! Purr-fect!!!!

Ah, Luke. The one I've been dying to read about! Yay! He's always been broody and on the outskirts of everybody and gruff and I just needed to know his story.

I loved Georgina- it takes a strong woman to make some of the choices she has made. And I love how she puts her kid first and how she makes the first moves with Luke. Also, I love how Luke is with her son, Grayson. Totally sweet and paternal right away. And Grayson is such a cool kid.

This book had a lot of action and surprises, a fantastic story, and a couple of surprising moments. I cried near the end. And it seems that we got a hint into the next couple in the series, so yay again!

I had been anxiously waiting for the enigma of Lennox family there just something about a slightly broken Alpha male that just draw you in. I have to say even though I loved Luke story I was a little bit disappointed at some of the content. I felt like some of the details could've been described better. I super enjoyable finally getting the backstory on why Luke was so distant with his family and to see him apologize to his parents was very heartfelt. Overall enjoyable and entertaining read full plenty of suspense, action, and of course steamy romance. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Blackstone Lion

Let me start by saying this is my favorite book in the Blackstone series, so far. I have always been curious about Luke since they found him. After waiting so long I was not disappointed. This is one of those book that you tell your friends about and have a hard time not going on and on about. In really can't say much else about it because everything I want to say is a potential spoiler. What I will say is you need to read this book. You will love it and if you haven't read the other books in the Blackstone series of will make you want to.

I received an advanced copy of this book in return for my honest review.

When you start to read any of the books written by Alicia Montgomery it is really hard to put them down once you start because of all the action and adventure you will find when you start reading. This one is about Luke, the adopted brother of the Lennox Brothers, and Georgina. WOW is all I can say. I'm not one for spoilers so I will not go into detail. You really need to read this one, and if you haven't read the other books of the series, start with the first and work your way through them all, you will not be disappointed in the least. HAPPY READING

Luke Lennox is a lion shifter and adopted into a family of dragon shifters. Thier fighting against a group trying to kill all shifters. They raid labs to save the shifters they can.
Georgina Mills is human and always told shifters were bad but she knows better now. Her son is one. Thier both trapped in one of the labs until Luke and his group saves them.
Lots of great storyline in this. I love the characters and action. There is also drama, betrayal, intrigue, mystery and lot's more. I couldn't put it down and can't wait for the next book in the series.
Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

Luke rescues Georgina from a mad organization who has kidnapped her and her son. Upon meeting her, Luke quickly bolts and Georgina has no idea what just happened.

Luke was a complicated man. He has led a solitary life by his own choosing because of past anger issues that he wasn't been able to let go of or ask forgiveness from.

Georgina is just tying to raise her shifter son the best way she can. Being a human, it makes it hard for her to understand some of the things her son is going through.

I really liked the two of these characters together. They both where what the other needed. They both just needed to let down their guard enough to let the other one in.

Lost Lion

A action packed story with lots of twists and turns. Grayson is the most sweetest little bear, but Luke makes a loving Lion father for him. Georgina has more twists and turns in her life than seems fair, she's lucky Luke finally gives up his struggling to be alone. I enjoyed the story it was interesting, but I was more struck by the little cub than by Luke's hang ups from his own past...The whole Hank and Reva thing wasn't that huge to me, it was part of the story but it didn't really help Luke discover much he didn't know... Obviously he was alone so something bad happened to his family... Anyways it was a good story...

Luke was quick to explode. And his internal or self hate he seemed to overcome pretty quickly in my opinion. He wasn’t super likable.

And I wasn’t a fan of Georgina. I felt like she liked to play the scared victim card. She never fought back just stood back and screamed. And all her internal debates were pretty annoying in my opinion.

And with this one I felt like a lot of silly unimportant things were over explained while other parts that in my opinion could have been important were quick and left a lot unsaid.

Overall I wasn’t impressed with this one.

Opportunity

The book had many opportunities to go deep and develop the main characters.
I was not fan of the backstory of the poor little rich girl. Did not believe it or her not understanding what her parent and others were into. Haters like that do not hide what they are up to with family. The other part that was not believable was Lucas spoiled upbringing and ungratefulness. No way would someone raised with knowledge of shifters, etc act that way. Especially since the author wrote in an earlier book that Lions did not want to take someone they were not related in.
But if you ignore that, and concentrate on her son, and others it is enjoyable.
