Reece Richards was the typical bad boy billionaire. He came from an affluent empire and he loved to test limits. There was no such thing as too much parties, drugs or sex. One significant night, the betrayal from someone who made him lose hope, changed his life forever. The playboy who was a favorite of the gossip rags was no more. In his place was a man who wanted to atone for his errant ways and to make his mark on mankind. He was a man who trusted no one and therefore had no one. He was a man steeped in a loneliness he couldn’t even identify. Until Emmaline Crist entered his life, changing his outlook on life forever. With her, he found hope again. He learned to believe and trust in her. They explored their love while discovering ways to make lives better. And together they were perfection.
I’ll admit that it was a bit hard to get into the story at first. I couldn’t connect with the characters, which made it difficult to enjoy them. But that didn’t last long because the story definitely picks up the pace quickly and from there it was a matter of holding on for the wild ride. Who doesn’t dream of a superhero, especially one of their very own? I know that growing up, before I realized that being a damsel wasn’t exactly cool, I wanted to be Lois to Superman. He was my crush. At least until I met Bruce Wayne. That’s who Reece turned out to be - an electro-charged superhero named Bolt by the community that loved him. The author made him out to be so incredibly sexy, not to mention swoon-worthy, that I couldn’t help but fall all over myself for him. Sweet!
This story had plenty of character growth, action, and the sex was INSANE!! However, what I loved most of all was the love between Reece and Emma. It was quick, it was hot, and it was awesome!! I’m late to the game when it comes to Angel Payne and the craftiness of her words, but you won’t catch me slipping again. I’m definitely looking forward to getting my hands on Bolt: Volume 2!

I’ll admit that it was a bit hard to get into the story at first. I couldn’t connect with the characters, which made it difficult to enjoy them. hate to rate this because I almost couldn't finish the book. It was difficult and trying, but I eventually did.
I knew it was a superhero book, but was hoping the writing and storyline would draw me in. It didn't. I also found their were way too much sex scenes. More substance please and a lot of threads that were left hanging and unfinished.
This author was knew to me so I was optimistic, but not sure if I would try another book by this author.

I had already read Misadventures with a Superhero so I was pretty sure I was going to love this one too. Emma works at one of the hottest downtown LA Hotels which happens to be owned by Richards Resorts and managed by Reece Richards. There is chemistry between these 2 from the very beginning. Reece was kidnapped about a year before and used as a science experiment for the Consortium. His body now has electricity running through it that he can harness and use. He is hoping in his spree to stop criminals that someone will kill him. He has a playboy reputation but no one seems to realize he has changed. Emma knows that deep down Reece is a good man but can she make him believe it. The beginning of the book is from Misadventures with a Superhero. Angel took the original book and gave it more details and a bigger storyline.
If you love hot sexy superheros then this is the book for you. I loved it and am looking forward to the rest of the story. I highly recommend this fun read.

If you're a fan of Angel Payne or you have already been introduced to and fallen in love with Bolt in Misadventures of a Superhero, you're going to want to pick up this book. Ms. Payne has expanded that story and has additional parts to release after this title.

What Angel Payne started as a short book for the Misadventures series has turn into a epic sexy superhero saga that any book love will drool over. Reece Richards didn't choice this but after years of being the Playboy bad boy his a protector. A God. As Bolt he protects and serves LA but never believe he can have more that karma served him the ultimate punishment. That is until Emma aka The Velvet bunny comes into the picture causing a electric shock to Reece's heart he never thought possible. Angel has brought more heat, action, and bolt worthy moments that let's us in on the world of a superhero and the one that puts them on their knees, their hero. OMG I want to bolted some more can't wait for more adventures.

More storyline and less sex please. Maybe I am missing the point but what happened to Angelique and her cronies did Bolt frighten them away without the reader’s knowledge? Maybe they return in part 4? I got the idea that Emma and Reece were passionately attracted to each other but there is a limit on how many Uhhh’s and Ohhh’s a reader can take! I accessed this title by accident, and although I finished the book I will not be reading more in the series.

If you are familiar with the Misadventures series then you know that you got a little tease of Reece (Bolt) in Misadventures with a Super Hero. Can I say how much I love that Angel Payne expanded upon it and gave us more sexy Reece. This is a hot and steamy with that touch of action. Reece, man I loved him. I loved seeing the changes from start to end in him. The change is all good. Emmalina is a strong and sweet. She brings out the best sides of Reece. You can't help but want to be drawn into the electrifying chemistry these two have. It's electrifying. I wish I could find my own super hero like Reece wink wink. I loved every minute of Bolt. I couldn't put it down. Such an original read. This makes me want to pick up more. If you're looking for a different read especially in the realm of Sci-Fi/fantasy romance then pick this one up. I really can't wait for Reece and Emmalina to come.

This story started off with a bang. I couldn't put it down. Its filled of sexual tension and steamy scenes. This is the second book I have read by this author. The first book was okay but this one damn she has change my mind on her writing.
Reece is a rich playboy. When he was young all he thought about is partying and sex. One night of partying has changed his life forever. Yes this story resembles a marvel or comic movie. So there is crime fighting and a costume involved. Who wouldn't fall for a sexy superhero. It's an outstanding read that everyone will love.

While sci-fi is not usually my cup of tea, Angel Payne writes with just enough romance and seduction to make this story completely worth it. Reese and Emma are not only making their boss/employee romance work, they are also fighting bad guys as Reese’s alter ego Bolt uses his superpowers for good. But can the romance blossom when Bolts identity is made public? Or will Emma walk away not only from Reese but from her job as well. With great characters and a storyline that had me hooked from the opening pages, Angel Payne does not disappoint.

when Bolt was Misadventures of a Superhero the book blew me away. It was the first one (book) I had actually read by Angel Payne. When I read the she was expanding of the book to make its own series esq serial I was thrilled because I just enjoyed Superhero so much. Now ive read Bolt Vol 1 with its new scenes and longer story line and I'm just mind boggled. Bolt has become one of my all time favorite book boyfriends AGAIN and the book one of my all time favorites AGAIN. I cant wait to see what will happen between Reece aka our electrifying BOLT and Emmalina the woman who can handle him lol.

I am a huge Angel Payne fan but superhero is just not my thing. I did give it a try and read the book and it is a good book if you like this type of book. I know people are probably going to say, well duh it is superhero and I knew that going in bu,t because it was Angel writing it I did read it. I'm not going to dog her out just because this genre is not for me. Sorry Angel, I have to stick to your other books, I'm not superhero material.

Do you like hot romance? Do you like a guy in leathers and a mask? You will love this book. Reece is the ultimate superhero, not just in the saving the world type. But oh does he do that. He also saves Emma, in more than one sense. This is a hot, fast paced book that leaves you wanting more. I was never big on superhero stories but this one has me addicted. Can't wait for more of this epic love story.

Bolt is the sexiest superhero to come along in a long time! Reece & Emma’s romance steams up the pages. Not your typical superhero book. Sure he puts away bad guys, but he does his best work between the sheets. Or anywhere else he wants! An electrifyingly sexy read!

In #Bolt, a mysterious organization turns a human into an extraordinary energy source. The background on why the person was chosen for this experimentation remains somewhat hazy throughout but it's clear pretty early on who is Bolt and that his previous playboy ways are now curtailed by the strange blue lightning bolts arcing from his fingers.
Is Bolt a superhero or a monster? The tortured soul don leathers and a mask while fighting crime in L.A. using his electrifying powers. And that's his night job.
Yet Bolt finds redemption and his personal heaven on earth in the form of one woman, Emmaline Crist, who can somehow withstand his explosive, spine-tingling touch without crumbling. Sparks fly from the moment they first meet and some encounters could melt steel. Or panties.
Angel Payne writes vividly and with a tongue-in-cheek humor so that this longish story maintains voltage and frequency (haha, had to throw in some electricity jargon!) while the relationship between these two characters stays charged. I love when writers allow us into their characters secret thoughts by sharing both POVs and timing those segues so that it's seamless from one scene to the next.
I like how this volume ended with a higher purpose for both characters. For me, Bolt and Emma's easy banter and the growing realization that what they have is somehow deeper and steady, that's what has me longing to read the next book in the series due out later this month.

*The writing is dumbed down and annoying, it doesn’t fit the genre (unlike the airhead tone of Fashion Victim which I forgave given the nature and setting of that book). I lived in LA. Just because people talk with a SoCal accemt and vocabulary doesn’t mean they should sound this stupid. I could not take the female protagonist’s POV. She was either too insecure or too horny. Right from the get-go. Hard to care about the sex scenes when I don’t care or even know the characters.
Next, description about how hot the hero is goes on and on, so repetitive and amateurish.
I get it. He’s hot. You don’t have to repeat it unless your writing is excellent and I can enjoy some delicious prose.
Next, the sex—does it have to start with sex?? These writers need to read more Anne Rice and learn how to write literotica that’s actually a great story!
I found the book had very choppy writing as well. A few chapters in and I didn’t know what the main characters’ motivations were, which results to me not caring.
The world-building and layering of elements as the book begins are also poor. Seems like the author relied on sex and nothing else. Does every other page have to be about his erection?
I had to DNF this after several chapters. I scanned the rest and saw sex but
no decent plot.

The world-building and layering of elements as the book begins are also poor. Seems like the author relied on sex and nothing else. Does every other page have to be about his erection?
I had to DNF this after several chapters. I scanned the rest and saw sex but
no decent plot.

Having already read Misadventures of a Superhero, I knew I would love this just as much. I was right it is smoking hot, alot of chemistry between the characters.
Emma works on the night shift at one of the hottest downtown LA hotels, which is owned by Richards Resorts and run by the 'playboy' Reece Richards.
They cross paths during one of Emma's night shifts when Reece turns up unexpectedly at the hotel. You can see the chemistry and sparks between them from the beginning.
Reece Richards was used as a Science experiment for the Consortium, which happened when he was kidnapped about a year ago after meeting Angelica La Salle, now his body has electricity running through it which can be used and harnessed how he wants, which he uses to stop criminals and crime sprees hoping someone kills him.
Since the science experiment Reece has changed but with his reputation of being a playboy no one else seems to see it, except Emma. She sees him as a good man but will he believe what she says.
Highly recommend this saga as I know it will blow you away like it has me all over again. Angel has exceeded my expectations of this book can't wait for more, amazing author highly recommend her.

I am loving this series so far! Bolt Volume 1 has all the first 3 parts together. I prefer physical books over ebook so I had to buy it. Reece is a playboy who ends up being betrayed by his ex and is experimented on which causes him to accidentally become the superhero Bolt. While people around him can feel a strange difference about him and try to avoid him, he falls for manager Emma, who can't stop being pulled by him but tries super hard to resist. Not long after, they both give in to their desire for one another and a romance blooms. Worried about the people responsible for his powers coming after him, he does what he can to protect Emma from any danger. Finally, Reece reveals himself to the world as Bolt and states his love for Emma. As Emma continues working while settling with the fact that Reece is a superhero, Reece wants her to be happy so he gives her a big surprise and plans to retire from superhero work. The saga will continue and I can't wait to see what else is in store for this couple.

I am a fairly recent Angel Payne fan, having read the Misadventures and Secrets Of Stone series, which I enjoyed but this series is one I didn’t anticipate.
Of course there is a rich hot man in the picture, by any other name wouldn’t be as great. Reece Richards is a gorgeous hunk of a playboy alla Manwhore. Who flits around with nothing more than money and sex on the brain. But strange events change his life forever. (No spoilers) sorry.
Now enter our heroine, she’s the daughter of a wealthy family. But has removed herself from that scene and found a job working at a hotel where she finds herself watching a news story about a masked superhero who’s named himself Bolt. She finds him very sexy, after she watches him disarm the assailants of a robbery.
She hasn’t met her boss aka the owner of the hotel yet but when she does sparks fly and it sets up the rest of the book.
It’s a DNM.

I enjoy a super hero story line and I really love Bolt aka Reece Richards. If you read Misadventures of a Super Hero, this book expands the content of that book. Emmalina Crist is attracted to her boss of a trendy hotel, although she does not want to be and Reece is very enamored of Emma even if he feels there is no place in his world for a relationship. This book has tons of feels for me, and both Reece and Emma captivated me. There is so much adventure as Bolt and Emma tackle the bad guys and mystery plus evil villains. The love is scorching hot hot hot!!!!!! When Bolt and Emma go public with their relationship the media attention is horrendous yet they both weather the storm to be together. Emma is a ray of sunshine for Reece and he is her knight in shining bolted armor. I am excited to see what is next for these two in Ignite!!!! Love the way the story flows and is written, and I have been Bolted! I will so be reading more Angel Payne.

Absolutely loved this book! It was great! Bolt is electrifying and keeps the reader wanting more!! This is the story of Reese and Emma. Reese is known as a playboy that got stuck running his family’s hotel on the west coast because of his ways. Emma is now employed at his hotel and warned her new boss is best termed as weird. However once she meets him one evening she’d say he’s anything but weird. There is a connection that’s magnetic and can’t be denied between them and it’s electrifying.
Well written and excellently done can’t wait to read the next book in this saga! Loved this and would highly recommend this to others.

Angel Payne has outdone herself with Bolt!!!
I wasn't sure I would be into this book since I'm not really into the whole superhero idea but I'm definitely glad I set aside those feelings and gave Bolt an honest chance.
I absolutely love Reece and Emmalina's story so far. It is full of suspense and is hot, hot, hot!!! It is definitely worth reading if you're not into superhero's cause this one you will want to get to know on a personal level.
I'm not sure how else to put this without putting any spoilers in so please do yourself a favor and go purchase this book. It's amazing!

When I first read about Bolt in Misadventures, I wanted so much more of their story! And so did everyone else. Well, looks like we get what we asked for! Bolt is electric and super steamy, with action and a weird creepy organization that eventually will have to be taken down.
Emma and Reece are so HOT together! A good chunk of this story is all the creative ways they connect. It's powerful and unique. Bolt is the first super hero I have ever swooned over. I will definitely be looking forward to more in this series!

Holy crap! How do I describe this book short of amazing?! Reece and Emma have such an electric bond! Emma is a woman out to prove she can do it on her own. She has such a strong presence it’s magnetic to read. Reece is living a double life. His secret side is threatening to overtake the not secret part. Emma brings out his electric side, and he struggles with how to cope with that. When they finally come together, it’s everything you’ll want and more. I loved this book. It was so bolttastic.
