An interesting collection of very short stories. These are not your typical romances but they have bites of heat and each can be read in well under 30 minutes. I liked them but they lacked that special Simone Leigh quality to which I've grown accustomed. There's a great deal of realism in all of them, even the time-travel tale.
This book contains the following previously published short stories: 1. VIKING Simone Leigh continues to amaze me with her talents. "Viking" is a short, quick read that truly just captures a moment in time for Tania. One moment she's made a decision about her void of life and the next she's more alive than she's ever been. I have to say, I really would like to see this brief interlude turned into a full storyline. My mind is running rampant with all the possibilities that could happen. I loved it.
2. LOVE BY THE WATERS Simone Leigh is one of those authors that I tend to drop everything to read whatever news she has written or re-read one of her books if I don't have another commitment. This short, easy read was written like it was a fantasy playing out right in front of my eyes. What a deliciously, thought-provoking storyline that made me want to take a vacation. I'd so recommend this book.
3. DANCING I'm trying to find a way to give you an honest review of this short story. I was so captivated by Simone Leigh's words the story was there and gone before I even realized it but then, it has stayed with him over a period of time trying to write this. I think the best thing that came I got out of this story is perception. Whether it's reality or imagination, it all depends on the perception you have when looking at it.
Three short, steamy reads by Simone! Viking – A quick read in true Simone style of instant attraction I have been reading Simone’s books since 2016 and while this one was different, it still had that Simone feel with strong attraction between characters. Tanja isn’t happy in her current life, when her fall brings her back in time to meet Sigurd, a Viking. It’s a quick read, and shows that wishes do come true!
Love by the Waters - Short read with all the steam you know and love about Simone I loved this short read with lots of steam and gentlemanly actions as you expect from Simone! Ross and Simone meet aboard a ferry and strike up a conversation before disembarking to explore the island. Yet when they meet back up on the ferry, Ross offers Simone the use of his hotel room. While Simone offers a chance to extend their time together, but the morning comes much to quickly. I did not expect the ending!
Dancing- Another short and steamy read I’m quickly pulled in this short story about Adam who drives by “Dancing Girl” on a street corner and each time she smiles at him while dancing. His thoughts of “what if” would happen if he ever should stop is steamy. It’s definitely his highlight of the trip home from work when he sees her. What happens when one day he does pull over to offer Dancing Girl a drink and meal with him? Let’s just say “The Police’s Roxanne” sings in my head when I read this story.
This is a collection of short stories by Simone Leigh. Two of the three were "happy" and one "sad" in my mind. All involve sexual fantasies of one sort or another that are acted upon by the protagonists. Each story is told from a different viewpoint; there are no recurring characters or connections between them other than Simone's creative mind. She offers little commentaries along with each story that are helpful in understanding her thoughts and writing process. Spoilers ahead, but not terribly specific. The first story involves suicide and time travel to sexual fulfillment. How can that not be interesting? The second involves meeting someone on vacation for a sweet fantasy-come-true in a tent! The third is sad, involving a prostitute and a man who has to find reality for himself, which isn't his fantasy. Each is moving in its own way. Each can be appreciated in just a few minutes and are all worth the time. Just think, "What if"?

Short, steamy (some) stories. The book contains 3 short, unrelated stories. Viking. Written with an easy-to-read style with good English and carefully chosen vocabulary with competent editing. There is a degree of dream-like quality about the story. It would be nice to read a longer version of this book. Love by the waters is about a random meeting. A very short story of two strangers passing, briefly connecting and moving on again. It is just a novelette, perfect for a coffee break. Usual flare with the writing style and erotic content. Enjoyable. I'd like to think that they meet again. Dancer. The dancer was about a young prostitute, loving life and doing exactly what she wants. Hard to believe and our hero must learn to respect that, rather than interfere. Sometimes we need to step aside and not try to ‘help’ as some, may consider it intrusive. We must not decide whose life has quality according to our own point of view. I would be happy to recommend this short collection.

I liked these three really, really short stories. My favorite was 'Vikings'. I wish Simone would maybe do a story where she goes further than the one night that Gunner and Tanja spend together. I also enjoyed 'Love By the Waters' as well. It was steamy and left off with both characters agreeing to meet again in the future. The afternote on this story made be smile to myself. I wonder what parts really happened. I didn't really enjoy 'Dancing' because of how it ended and it didn't seem to be really as steamy, but of course with a working girl steam probably doesn't get too much involved. This was a quick steamy read that I enjoyed.

Trio: Three Short Stories. This three story book talks about a man and a woman who stumbles on each other and share an intimate moment. It doesn't matter where or when you meet, the story can be the same: A man and a woman find a connection and share a moment whether a romantic or just a sexual moment, the surroundings doesn't matter. The mind set of the two needs to be on the same page. ***I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.*** All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's.
This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. She continues to impress me with her attention to details make her stories hot, steamy and entertaining. This book is no different. This is a collection of three short stories that have characters that gave the story a realistic feel. They are each unique and easy to read. The characters are connectable and I enjoyed how the come to life on each page. I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book and this author.
This is a collection of three standalone short erotic stories. The stories have previously been published as separate books.
This is a bit of a departure for our author in that these stories are not part of her long running series. Each story features different characters in different situations. All of them are well written, easy to read and very steamy. Together, they make for a nice diversion and provide some nice evening entertainment. Well worth a try.
Highly recommended.

Three stories easily read in under an hour looking at personal connections with slightly different results. Each story is unique and elicited different feelings in me as the extent and type of character relationships were revealed. As well, I enjoyed the author’s personal notes about how each story came to be.

A collection of short stories that are short with a lot of steam. Each one has a man and a woman who meet and make a connection. Whether it is love or a sexual connection, they are both in agreement. If you are looking for something to read during a break in the day, this is the one for you. Simone Leigh has written three stories that are unique in their own way.

Three short and spicy stories by Simone Leigh. "Viking" has a bit of time-travel and a wish that comes true. "Love by the Waters" has an interlude that could develop into something more. "Dancing" features a fantasy that may not measure up to reality. All three stories are told with good details, different scenarios and an intimate encounter. A quick bite of entertainment!

Simone Leigh's Three Short Stories were short only in length. Each story was different yet enticing me to read on. But that is what Simone does. Couldn't stop reading until the end. She draws a vivid picture quickly and erotically. Another must read!!!!
But very satisfying about a VIKING. I only read one of the trio of stories as Vikings are what interests me. Tania decides to end her life, but as she jumps into the water, she lands on a soft grassy area in another time and place. Gunnar finds her and there's an instant attraction between the two in the age of the norseman aka Vikings. Nice HEA and interesting reading.
Three very different ladies and yet they are the same. Wanting, needing and yet happy with where they are. It makes you look at the world, a person or a situation from different angles and not through a looking glass that only has one view!

Three brilliant short stories, all very different, and aside from the expected terrific storytelling (love her style of writing!) I almost think my favourite parts were the notes from the author talking about the inspiration for each story and her thoughts about them. Heartily recommended reading!

This trio of stories run the gamut and all are, at least I think, thought provoking. I enjoyed them but I was left with a feeling of wanting more. I really enjoyed Ms. Leigh's comments after the stories.
This is an honest review of an ARC.

This trio of stories is about three very different ladies in different situations but who all want the same thing, each story is short, and told from a single perspective, quite well done but I did feel after reading them that I wanted more. I suppose they are a good introduction to this author's work.
This book contains 3 short, steamy and erotic stories - Love By the Waters, Be Careful What You Wish For, and Viking. Each story is about a different couple and a different situation, but they are all about a sizzling sexy encounter. Just a lot of fun between the sheets and other places.
My favourite of these three shorts is Viking. I loved how she reacted to being there, not freaking out but accepting. I'd love it to be turned into a novella or longer. Dancing was my least favourite of the three.

Simone has been one of my favorite erotic authors. I read the complete series with James, Michael and Charlotte. I couldn't stop reading it a wanted to. I know By the Waters and the other short stories were taken from larger reads. It was just short and sweet. Thank you again Simone Leigh for a little escapism.
As much as I love Simone Leigh and have read everything else she’s ever written, this left me cold. I made it through the first short story, and I was done. Picking up a strange, showering in his hotel and then inviting him to your tent for the night. Ok. Didn’t really want to know what happened in the remainder. Just me I guess.
The stories are very detailed for being so short. Love the way Ms Leigh can bring her characters to life with details that are never boring, loved the stories, so much variety.
Sexy short stories A quick and funny read, with some steam and sass. And a interesting combination - a time travel, a one night stand and an encounter with a sex worker. A plasure to read it!

A trio of quick reads... Too short for my personal taste, I would have preferred a bit more storyline & detail, especially about the main characters. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Three very different and entertaining short stories. There’s something for just about everyone here. I felt some were too short, but well, isn’t that the point? A great read! Recommended!
