At just thirteen Cain finds himself wandering the desert alone. Having left his parents and lost his brothers in a tragic accident, he must somehow find a way to survive on his own. However even in the new world ravaged by a nuclear apocalypse, his biggest danger might just be the mutation he struggles to keep locked away inside of his head. With his survival instincts taking over and Cain's desperation to keep moving, what will happen when he finally has to deal with the mutant that he truly is? If you're a fan of books like The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner or Divergent and are always searching for something to read on your commute, your lunch break or just before bed then this prequel novella is perfect for you. The first complete book in The Generation Series will be released in April, but let Cain open the door to the dystopian world it is set in and discover a thrilling read that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Not a bad story but spoiled by frequent grammatical errors. When they come several times a page it becomes distracting. The book is desperately in need of editing and the writer would benefit from an advanced course in remedial English Grammar.
The apocalypse was bad. The remains of society were even worse. This story will make you want to avoid that outcome of our treatment of our only planet.
The author unfortunately needed additional work on his grammar to bring the story to the reader.
