Ashes of Luukessia #2

A Respite From Storms

Rate this book
The land of Luukessia is lost. The last survivors, Jasen Rabin and Alixa Weltan, have fled a cataclysmic event and find themselves in a desperate situation, all alone amidst an endless sea – and a ship filled with strangers.

But hope is not lost; with the aid of Captain Burund and First Mate Kuura of the Lady Vizola, Jasen and Alixa will pursue the sorcerer responsible for the death of their village, Terreas. New lands await, as well as new adventures, and old legends reappear to give them aid in their quest. A seemingly unending spate of storms stand between them and their goal – revenge. For though Luukessia may be lost, its last survivors remain.

Fighting on to their destiny.

Not up to the author's normal standard of writing

Poorest book of authors I have read, all to jumbled and very childish. Wasted lots of energy telling very little

Following the catastrophic loss of their home and everyone they knew, cousins Alexa & Jasen have now been saved. They continue their journey with their unlikely albeit faithful friend Scourgey, to lands they could never have imagined and with a score they have to settle.

Aided by others harbouring the same revenge, they journey to battle an enemy who has magic on his side and a shocking revelation for Jasen.

It definately leaves you wanting more! and I'm looking forward to the continuation. Thoroughly enjoying this series and its characters. Especially the return of a favourite from RJC's Sanctuary series.

Science fiction/fantasy

Another great book. Keeps you intrigued and turning the pages to see what happens next. Plenty of unique characters that get into the adventure as well as an old friend who by books end I am still asking questions about. And there are so many questions and so much more to learn that I just have to read the next book.

Great continuation of the story of Luukessia

Impossible twists and turns in the story. And the plot. Wonderful addition of characters. A real page turner. Can't wait for the next book.
