Knight I grew up in the Steel Paragons MC. They had been my family since I was born. I tried to leave and make a life on my own but it wasn’t a huge shock that four years later I turned around and came back. I earned my way in, just like every other man there. I went to war for the club and earned my patch. Now, I sat at the new chapter’s table as the Sergeant At Arms. Everything was going great until my past walked through the door in the form of a girl I’d once called my best friend. A girl I’d tried so hard to forget. It didn’t help that she was my former president’s daughter. Brass was a man I’d looked up to my whole life, so when he asked me to watch over his daughter I couldn’t say no. Only I didn’t realize how closely he expected me to do that. The past came back as I tried to figure out my future. All I wanted to do was touch her but the burden of knowing I’d let Brass down in doing so was the one thing that held me back.
Gwen I grew up in a motorcycle club, my dad had been the president since before I was born. I had no problem with the club princess title because I knew that meant I was loved and protected. Though, I was far from being a princess. Then my best friend broke my heart and I wasn’t even sure why. So, the first chance I had to run, I did- all the way across the country. The only thing the distance made me realize was that I missed the club, my family. I shouldn’t have been surprised when my dad’s solution was to stick me with one of the few people he trusted with his life. New city. New Chapter. New place to figure out my way in life. Only, I couldn’t let go of the past, especially when I had to see it every day. I was so wrapped up in trying to hide my feelings that I didn’t even notice the danger around me until it was too late. My only regret was I didn’t tell him how I felt.
Eve R. Hart has a habit of weaving stories laced thick with romance. They often bounce between awkward humor and dark themes- sometimes making a scary combination of the two. It doesn’t matter how it comes, she just wants love to win at the end of the day.
Eve lives on the coast of North Carolina with their partner in chaos, three beautifully nerdy kids, and a ridiculously sweet dog. When they need a break, you’ll find Eve lost in a book, playing board games with her family, or whipping up something crazy in the kitchen.
You know when your craving something spicy but end up with sweet? That was this one for me. I wants more grit and growly alpha male grunts. And this one was lacking in that. It also had a slow relationship build for me. Not a terrible read but just didn’t leave me wanting more

Knight is 4 years older than Gwen, they grow up together with both their fathers being in the Steel Paragons. The 4 year age difference never bothered either of them until Knight was 16 and Gwen was 12, he broke her heart when he told her they could no longer be friends.
This friends to lovers romance is angsty and had me turning page after page. When Gwen's father surprises both Knight and Gwen with the fact she will be moving in with Knight while she finishes her senior year of college in North Carolina. The two haven't seen each other in years, and haven't been friends in seven. The tension in that apartment jumps off the page.
These two characters are perfect. Gwen is the smart, sassy, take no shit from anyone heroine I love. Knight is the alpha asshole I can't resist. Put them together and we had a book I couldn't put down. The side characters were amazing, and added so much to to story.
If you're unsure about mc romances this series and Hart's books are the place to start. She gives you a much tamer, loveable side to the MC world with a whole lot of steam, angst, without being over the top.
OMG…..I love Knight and Gwen! They grew up in the club together and have really been soul mates from the beginning. Like every love story they had to separate to find their own way in life but found their way back to each other. Eve definitely has you questioning what the deal is with Tara from the beginning, but you never really know what is up with her till the end. I loved that the ground work for future troubles with the new Chapter has been established. And you get to learn a little about the new chapter’s members (Mouse, Ky, and Sketch) and of course Brand is there (who will always be my all-time favorite). I really loved this book and can’t wait for the next one. This book has everything you need – love, drama, and excitement. The Steel Paragons MC is at the top of my all-time favorite MC series.
I loved the original series. I read the entire series in a matter of days,so hearing that this is a new chapter with familiar characters, I got excited. Knight is an Alpha male with a tortured soul. Gwen is a smart and sassy woman with a big heart, who loves her family. Gwen and Knight have history, chemistry, and a love that is strong. I loved the characters we meet and enjoyed this story. This is a good start to the new chapter of this MC.I will be reading the future books in this series. I am hoping for Brand’s story next. I want all of their stories and to see the women that give them their HEA. ARC given in exchange for an honest review.
Where to start....sweet,sad,hot,annoying,lovely HEA. I loved this book but then I love all of Eves books. This series like the others just keep you reading until all of a sudden its the end and you're sad because you want ,need more. So like me you'll read the next book and so on and so on. Ok I know its not your normal review but I can't tell you enough only read the damn book and be left wanting more. Thanks Eve for yet another late night early morning !!!!!
Loved how this story was different compared to the others, but not TOO different. It ties in with the other series perfectly while still standing out on its own! Knight and Gwen's story was just...so refreshing and well paced, there was just the right amount of comedy, drama, love. and of course meeting the new guys on the coast as me super excited for the future!!!
Knight and Gwen grew up together and were inseparable from the start but years later Knight makes a huge mistake and let's her go. Fast forward 7 years and life throws them together again and love wins out they have some bumps and obstacles to overcome but love wins and they get the happily ever after.
Really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Good strong characters and a strong sense of family. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Can't wait to see who the others end up with
This book is so well written and the story just flows so smoothly you forget your reading a book and not watching a movie. This story grab's you from the beginning all the way to the last page.
This is a good first book in a spin off series, the new characters are interesting and characters that we already know and love put in an appearance too. Knight and Gwen grew up together and were born to love each other, their story is a slow burn and very enjoyable.
Was an okay read but had more potential. Tara was obviously not who she said she was and both leads brought up in the life didn’t see it. Was okay but not enough to read any more by this author.
