If you're reading this having read all 6 books I don't need to review this to tell you how amazingly EPIC this series is, you already know.
If you haven't read them, why the eff not!? It truly is

Its got Angles with fangs ppl, Fangs and Angels...hello! Its like my 2 favourite PNR traits in one!

Back at book #3 I was pissed when I realised that each level up would be it's own book, I wanted 2 or three levels in one (and I'm still holding out for it tbh). But Ella Summers has managed to make each book more and more exciting, action packed and kept the plot building at the same time, there is no duds in this series, no stagnant plot its all action! each one's awesomeness has a direct correlation with the increasing awesomeness of its covers.
Little less of Nero in this one but that's OK because we're getting more of Leda's backstory and creeping closer and closer to the magical level 8!!

come on level 8

I'm so tired of waiting but I'm enjoying the ride!

P.S....I want her hair

So in this book Leda goes on vacation to visit her family in her hometown. But as per usual her nickname is Pandora for a reason, so... You know when you just want to relax and forget about the stress at work and just have a nice time with friends and family? Well, I'm sure Leda doesn't know the meaning of those words. She'd be like "Peace, what's peace? I don't know what you're talking about." And so it's no surprise that wherever she is, trouble follows. Only this time it's so much bigger that whan she's used to. Many die, some survive and the Gods sure aren't making it easy on her and her loved ones. To be honest, I'm starting to dislike some of the Gods, especially Zarion. When you read the book, you'd know why. Ugh, such a nice personality.

description

And not to mention the demons, well...they are demons, so what you'd expect from them. To serve you cake and tea? Sure not! I mean, just poor Leda. But we do get some of our questions answered, like what is Leda and what kind of powers / potential does she have. One thing is for sure and that is that the seventh book will be a game changer.

Psychic’s Spell is book six in the Legion of Angels series by Ella Summers.

First, this series does need to be read in order. Next this was another gripping installment.

Leda returns home to visit her family in Purgatory, but her visit doesn’t go as planned and soon she’s off rescuing kidnapped women.

Their are some major surprises on some of the characters. We finally learn about Leda’s heritage and the others in her family. All of them are so much more then human and each has their own destiny. The overall arc also progress nicely.

I liked Nero and Leda together. Their isn’t much on relationship growth, but that’s ok for now. Their together and Leda doesn’t need him by her side to fight the battles. She’s strong enough to stand on her own or by his side. The only down side with this relationship is that the author kept hinting that Nero might be selected to marry someone else. I don’t like this and hope it doesn’t come to be. These two clearly love each other and have marked each other with their powers, so to do this is just torchere.

There is one other thing that bothered me. The speech marks through the book. We all know that Leda “fights dirty” and that she feels everyone should learn the same. This is something we have been seeing scenes book one. I’m kinda tired of the same song and dance or should say copy and paste that’s done. It’s book six now. We don’t need it.

Overall, Psychic’s Spell had me hooked from the first to the last page. Their is action, adventure, and secrets revealed. Can’t wait for the next installment.

I’m not a fan of torture especially not in detail. Her plan to find out who her parental units are... well to quote Shakespeare “that way madness lies.” & I can’t wait to read all about it! ❤️ Leda & Nero 💕

Another action packed book
We finally get some more information about some of the characters and about the overarching plot
It wasn't as smooth a read as other installments but I'm looking forward to the next book

Leda is going on vacation, but that gets cut short when something happens to her sisters. Now, she will do whatever it takes to save them, however, it my end up being her life on the line instead of theirs. And Nero may be too late to save her.

This book was really good. I enjoyed Nero and Leda together, and I really liked the plot line. It was cool to learn more about Leda and her sisters as well. I thought that was awesome we finally found out what she truly is.

The only downside in my opinion is the fact that the story keeps hinting to the fact that Nero may be selected to marry someone else, I wish the author wouldn't make that happen because that would be really annoying. And I wish it would just stop coming up at all, I want that part to be over with already. But other than that, I really enjoyed this one and I look forward to more, I just hope that drama is cut out of the books soon.

Thank you Sharon J for recommending this book to me. This was an incredible read. It was the sixth book in the Legion of Angels series, and it did not disappoint. There is action, romance, angels, vampires, werewolves, shifters, you name it, it will probably be in this book. In this book, Leda is on vacation and visiting her family in Purgatory. Whilst on vacation, chaos ensues and her sisters, Tessa and Gin, are kidnapped. It is up to her, the Legion, and her family to bring the kidnapped teens. As this story progressed, the mystery aspect did as well. We find some interesting information about her sisters (Bella, Tessa and Gin) and herself. I loved it and I am glad that my best friend recommended this series to me. The relationship between Nero and Leda is amazing as well. Nero is starting to be more open and I love how much he loves Leda. Leda is still the badass character that she has always been, and I am happy to see her fighting and making snarky comments. I cannot wait to see what Fairy's Touch has in store for me. Overall, an amazing read.

Nearly two months to read this lol.

Firstly, I read a book in-between and finished my Master’s degree so I feel okay with this timeline.

I was starting to lose interest in this series.
Not sure why but the side plots and adventures aren’t coming together yet so there’s a lot to still be discussed. And I believe there’s only one book left?
I could be wrong.

It’s the Leda show in this book which I appreciated to some extent.

We get more of a backstory on the fam
Of course everyone in the family is special.

Which leads me to think Calli is more than she’s letting on.

WHICH MEANS MY PREDICTIONS ARE NOT MANIFESTING.

Jace’s sis, RIP bitch. Xoxo
Jace’s father: maybe he does have a heart
Ivy was nowhere to be seen.
Drake had ONE appearance in this book.
Bella clearly doesn’t like Harker so MOVE ON BUDDY.

Alright, I have a few other books to read before I get to the next installment of this series.

Damiel, you are truly spectacular.
He’s my fave in this series.

This book seems a bit...off. It's almost like it was meant to be filler but then the author quickly decided to reveal secrets about Bella, Leda and some other characters to warrant its publication. The information about Leda's parentage makes sense because hints have been given in each book. But the other secrets? Totally random. It felt like the author made those things up on the spot because based on the past books, there is nothing to support the author's claims.

Other things that annoyed me:

- There were several speech marks through the book when Leda wasn't speaking.
- It's well known that Leda "fights dirty" and she even preaches that everyone should learn the same. She does the same in this book. (Why is this still a thing? It's book six. Stop copying and pasting the same information. That's LK Hamilton's territory.) But what's worse is that during a fight scene, she whines that the other person is fighting dirty. Wut.

This was a fantastic addition to the series but it had a completely different feel than the other books. It was much darker and answers came thick and fast. I’ve no idea what is going to happen next. Would have liked more Nero and Leda, I missed their banter and general chemistry in this story. Hope there’s more in the next book.

For me this whole series is a 5 star series.

I head a lot of good thing about this book. The series was recommended to me many times (#cakeeaters thank you). I never picked it up, because I was scared that I won't like a well loved series. But I finally did, because I put it in a clear your tbr challenge and it was called.

I started the first book Vampire's legion last sunday, when the number was drawn and I only stoped once to finish another challenge but otherwise I read the whole series in only seven days! I really binged it.

I loved Leda and her lovely chaotic ways. She really got things done, even if the Angels thought that her ways were inappropriate. But she always thought out of the box and her actions lead to results.
Nero is a good counterpart. He gives her stability, rules and has her back. But he also knows how to bend the rules properly. Which leads to creative rule bending Leda styled.

The series was so much fun. I rarely read a series that long, where I wanted to have the next book like yesterday. The audiobooks are good too. I like the narrator. Most of the time I read and listened to the series changing from ebook to audiobook and back.

Five stars recommendation!

Heads up: I'll just copy this review into all the other books of the series. Also most of the audiobooks (one to eight) were free on audible at the end of 2023. For the first four book there is one audiobook available, but it's not free on audible.

Leda decides to go back home for a small vacation. As usual, chaos follows wherever she goes, but this time it’s closer to home when her sisters are taken by a mixed group of mercenaries. Enlisting the help of her family and Jace, her biggest rival at the Legion, Leda attempts to find answers and is left with more questions. And when she does find her sisters, she’s about to learn more than she ever expected about herself, and her role in the universe. Will it be more than she and Nero can handle together?

This was an awesome, action-packed, information-loaded story! There were a few surprise twists that threw me for a doozie too. I think Psychic’s Spell was also the darkest of the series so far, but I am excited to see what’s in store for Leda next!

What another great instalment in the Legion of Angels series. I love this series and I loved this book. Reading it was like coming home to the perfect, warmest, feel good place. This series is one of my top 10 all time favourite series to read and each book the author produces just keeps getting better.

Psychic's Spell takes us right back to where the story all began for us and Leda. The truth about just who Leda really is, is finally uncovered and I have to admit I was mighty pleased with myself that I'd managed to guess right. This journey did feel like it went on a darker one than previously. I really was so worried at points in this book that I felt like I had my heart in my mouth. Of course we still had the laugh out loud moments that come from Leda just being herself, but there were aspects of this book that went deeper into my emotions and really had me feeling a myriad of them through the book. The relationship between Nero and Leda is as strong as ever, if not growing stronger, but I'm worried for what the future may bring for them and whilst I think they'll fight tooth and nail to be together I think there may be some difficult paths for them ahead. However, after reading this book you really get a feel of just how much Nero feels for Leda and I think anyone and anything will have a real battle on their hands to separate the two. I've said from the beginning that Nero is swoon worthy, but oh boy he just had me swooning multiple times in this book. Leda really is one lucky gal to have him.

Leda, of course, is still my favourite character. I just love her attitude and her ethos. I love how she stands tall in the face of adversity and I love how she doesn't back down from fighting for what she knows is right. Even in the difficult times she finds herself in this book she stays strong and fights. I want to be Leda when I grow up.

Honestly, reading this book has made my year so far. The wait for it has been almost unbearable at times, but you know what they say. Good things come to those who wait. Well, I think that should change to great things because this book really was great. Five stars doesn't do it justice for the excitement I felt whilst reading it. For the giddy feeling I got when reaching the scenes between Leda and Nero. For the laugh out loud moments or the tearing my nerves to shreds part. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ella Summers sure is an author who creates magic from her words and I doubt I'll ever get bored from rereading these books over and over again.

Increasingly Disappointing

This series seems to be spiraling downward. It's not the concept, as the world is actually quite interesting. It is the delivery that is lacking.

First, there seems to be a lack of depth to the series. Less swings from the to lust, and there's rarely anything in between and no lead up to either of them. One second, bam, rage; another second, bam, lust. Not only am I getting whiplash, but I am getting bored. She has got to be more complex than this. I am also very unhappy with the way scenes play out. Items are pulled out of the hat and shared when it becomes convenient to do so, not because there is any sense to it. There is a distinct lack of set up to the storyline. For examole, we get slammed with the fact her sisters have magic in this book; wouldn't it have been better to set the stage subtly over a few books that things aren't all that they seem with those two? The current approach makes the story feel poorly mapped out and like it's everywhere at once. We jump scene to scene with little development other than more surprise this and surprise that.

Leeds isn't particularly likable, either. Her shallow emotions, constant raging and woe is me, and at least I am a bada$$ and so powerful (insert fake modest statement), and oh my god my angel lover is so hot really don't add much in the way of character development. Instead of seeing significant growth since book 1, we see the same Less we always have, just with more power to use to continue on her bull in a China shop journey. This was interesting in books 1 and 2; now it's childish because she refuses to learn and grow. Frankly, after 6 books, I expect more.

I wanted this series to mature but it doesn't seem to be headed in that direction and I am in the verge of losing interest entirely.

I was so very excited to see the next book in the Legion of Angels of series available. I have come to really enjoy this author’s great writing, wonderful world building, and engaging characters. Leda is still finding chaos wherever she goes, and even on vacation to see her sisters results in an investigation when two of her sisters are kidnapped. What follows is a wild ride ending in Leda finally finding out about her powers and real family. I have yet to not enjoy every single moment of a book in this series, and I think this one is the best yet. The relationship between Leda and Nero is a sight to behold, and I just love all the characters. I can’t wait to see what comes next, and I think that Ms. Summers is a truly great writer who has become a favorite of mine. Highly recommend! I was provided the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.

I don't think this was written by the same author. Or she changed her writing style for some reason because this one felt longer and more summary than anything.

If you're reading the 6th book of a series like this, it's not necessary to have all the info from every single previous book repeated. We're not new to the series, we've already bought in to what you're selling at this point. So in this book there was too much repetition of world building. Every other paragraph was to explain the meaning of something we already know about, and to retell a fight or rivalry or conflict from the previous books.

If you really picture a scene with the details and dialogue of this book, the characters would be standing around and each of them has one or two lines. I needed more dialogue. Less telling, more showing from the author.

Still reading the next one! But I hope it'll be like the first 5 of the series.

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The sixth book in the Legion of Angel series is finally in audio. This is one of my favorite series to listen to in audio. It's narrated by Cris Dukehart who has become one of my favorite narrators!

The danger in Psychic's Spell stepped up a notch and the threat to Leda's family makes this a lot more personal. New powers are exposed. Not just the Psychic's Spell Leda will earn, but also powers her sister's carry. We learn a lot of new things about Leda and her sisters, including Leda's heritage which will put her in terrible danger.

Psychic's Spell was an exciting ride with plenty of action. All details and revelations were timed beautifully amidst the battles fought. There were some pretty big losses, including one that nearly brings the Legion to it's knees. I was enthralled with the story and caught up in the ups and downs. What a roller coaster ride! Then the ending! What could possibly happen to Leda next?! She hasn't even been in the Legion a year and has fought more monsters and battles than someone who has been in the Legion a lot longer.

I am so glad I waited for the audio. Cris Dukehart keeps the adrenaline running with her narration of the action and emotional scenes. So worth the wait! This review was originally posted on Rantings of a Reading Addict

These books are never boring that's for sure, im hoping Leda and Nero will get their happily ever after, but forcing them to be with someone else i think may be the turning point to darkness (i think she may be paired with her fellow frenemy), its a niggle as its a catastrophe waiting to happen.....

Finally we know what Leda is... i had my theories and it was one of them, still alot to be explained, but the wait is over.....

A brilliant book as Leda uncovers who she is and saves those she loves proving to all that humanity wins out.

Still loving this series. Kick-ass heroine and a strong, stern but devoted hero. More please!!

I did find the ‘you have to sign up to my newsletter to get my extra special short stories’ incredibly annoying. She’s a great writer, what’s up with the gimmick? Just put the short stories on your website or something.

Best one yet. The text messages between Nero, Harker and Pandora, with Jade caught in the middle (personally and professionally) was hilarious. Listening in on her thoughts when one paranoid god after the other showed up, made for an amusing read. Now all I need to know is who her parents are.
