Alexander McKenzie is one of the quieter cousins, which is why he suffers in silence over his secret love for his beautiful cousin, Rachel. He needs her but knows he can’t have her. So out of his love for his family, he pushes her away, breaking both of their hearts in the process.
Rachel McKenzie wasn’t born into the McKenzie family; she was adopted into it. She’s strong willed and doesn’t see why she can’t spend the rest of her life with Alexander. Except the constant distance that Alexander has been creating is starting to get to her, so she runs back to college nursing a broken heart.
Nothing feels right with the distance between them, and eventually, they’re forced back together for Charlotte & Tanner’s wedding, where their love turns into something that neither can stop…they’re on borrowed time, the clock is ticking down the seconds until their families find out they’re Kissing Cousins.
Even though part of a series each book can be read individually.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support.
'Let me go hoooome' (Michael Buble style!) Because yes Damn it, the McKenzies are my family, each and every one of them holds a special place in my heart! I love catching up with this family and this series, it's the turn of the 'children'. This story feels like it has been a long time coming, the angst and the heartache of Alexander and Rachel has been weaved into the previous books in this series. It's what Lexi Buchanan does best, draws you in with her words, making you feel like part of the family, making you feel EVERYTHING! Alexander is done fighting his feelings, he has had enough of pretending he feels anything but affection for his 'cousin'. They are both hurting and only they can heal each other. But how will this be received by others? Well why don't you one click and find out?! My heart!!
I absolutely adore the McKenzie's!!! Every single one of them holds a very special place in my heart!!! The way Lexi Buchanan writes their story as if you are a part of the family. Alexander and Rachel's story is finally here!!! I must say it was not a disappointment, either. Their story has been building up in all the previous books. Now we get to find out what it's all about. Lexi Buchanan you are an absolute genius when it comes to writing. I could not put this book down. I read it in one day. Once again, it is another five star read for me.
Finally Alexander and Rachel make the decision to be together as a couple - but they have family and Rachel's twin Paige to get through first. Lots of ups and downs for this couple.
Loved catching up with the McKenzie cousins, it was fate and long awaited. I enjoyed it very much and Alexander and Rachel what can i say time finally found it way.
I liked the book a lot and give the story a 4.5. However, it really could have benefitted from having a good proof-reader. There were things that it drew me out of the story; e.g. wrong sister’s name, some poor grammar and some areas that felt awkward with tense. I have an e-copy.
This was an enjoyable, sweet and engaging read. That drew me in from the start and held my interest throughout.
And as always, the characters were great, and it was nice to get to know some of the cousins who haven't really featured before. As well as catching up with those who have, and of course the original McKenzie characters. Especially Lucien, Sabrina, Noah and Ramon. Who feature throughout this story.
And I did enjoy the romance between Rachel and Alexander. Which does have an insta love element to it. And it was full of hot moments, and very little angst. Although, I was expecting there to be more of a fallout from the family. Once everyone found out Rachel and Alex were together.
But overall, I did think it was a good read and I'm certainly looking forward to reading more from the series in the future. And anyone who has enjoyed the series so far. Is sure to enjoy Kissing Cousins too.
