Grayson Summers, successful businessman, travels through the small town of Flashback, Texas. The beer is cold in the dimly lit bar, but he's fascinated by the beautiful brunette with an appetite for his favorite game, pool. He can't resist her draped across the table for a long shot or bent over for the break. To his way of thinking, there's nothing sexier than a woman and his table. He should know. He's the King of the Table.
Lacey Strait has lived in this Texas town her whole life and has endured enough male abuse to swear off the species. Her last boyfriend went to prison thanks to her testimony in court, but Gray is confident, arrogant, gorgeous, and thinks he can take her at pool. This is her town and her table. She's the Queen of the Table.
Game On!
As the fight over the table intensifies, and the attraction heats up between them, deadly problems from the past threaten to destroy the love that is growing. If Gray can't protect Lacey, he might lose her forever.
I'm a sucker for seduction at a pool table and this did not disappoint! Ms. DeLuca wrote a delicious book about two strangers falling in love after a highly competitive game of pool. Her plot was strong, characters enjoyable, and dialogue was a mix of sexy and sassy. The last 30% had me on pins and needles, I wasn't expecting that...nor did I expect how it would have ended. Well done 👍
