Mitch I left Havenwood years ago to find myself and become a man, I followed my dreams and career until they became my nightmares.
Now I'm back in Havenwood, coming home to my family, a promotion and HER.
I'm not the person I used to be. Hardened and jaded, I will never be the right man for Sadie Jenkins, but that wont stop me from having her -until the nightmares of my past become my reality, returning to take vengeance and turn my world upside down.
Sadie Love, who needs it? Not me. I have everything i need - good friends, The Hideaway and my independance. things are running along smoothly until two very differnt men with two very differnt agendas step back into my life completely turning it on its axis.
Never one to back down from a challenge, I'll meet it head on but then I've never taken on anyone like Mitch Williams before. Hard, hot and beautifully flawed. My heart has been a fortress for so long, but he has the potential to shatter its walls completely.
We are two long term friends, that have bonded over our love of books and reading. we decided to take the plunge and write our own stories full of troubled alpha males and women with huge inner strength. living in Sydney, Australia, with our better halves for the best part of 30 years each. Between the two of us we have five young adults. When not busy with our full-time work, we like nothing better than sitting out in the sun, preferably at the beach, writing, reading and talking about books.
Omfg! Just like the book loyalty, this was one that I literally couldn’t put down. it was so freaking good. New characters introduced, and the storyline OMG. It was so freaking good the twists and turns and everything that happened. Just stuff that you would not think about.
Loyalty is the second title in the Havenwood series, and features Mitch and Sadie, a set of characters who both appeared in the previous title Honesty. I was quite looking forward to their story, but I've got to say the cover is pretty easy on the eyes as well.
Mitch left Havenwood as an awkward, skinny teen and returned a different man, his time serving his country turning him into a strong, confident, dominant and charismatic man. Sadie is charismatic and beautiful, both inside and out, but also sassy, feisty and fun.
I really enjoyed the fun, witty, flirtatious and dirty banter this pair share. The chemistry between this pair is intense and palpable. The heat between this pair just oozes off the pages.
It was great to see Eden and Walker appear throughout this story line, and I quite liked the introduction of new characters who I hope we see more of in future additions to the Havenwood series as well.
The character development that was missing in the first title is definitely more prevalent in this title. I quite enjoyed that this title was told in a dual point of view, my only complaint being the repetition of events when told from each view point. I felt it wasn't really required and towards the end I found myself skimming the start of chapters.
The twists and turns, intrigue and suspense, with their past coming back to haunt them, kept me completely enthralled and engaged. I will be looking forward to more of the Havenwood series, and look forward to seeing this writing duo develop further as authors.
When I read Honesty I wanted more of Mitch and Sadie and wow did I get it!! Their story takes us on an adventure of past love, Mitch’s deployment and consequences that make you bite the bullet to get your HEA!
Mitch and Sadie can’t fight the attraction any longer and are reluctant to let their hearts enter their arrangement, but it’s only a matter of time before the heart gets what it wants...
Too bad an old friend wants to come and destroy the life he has in Havenwood.
Sadie is still a spitfire if a character and Mitch is the hottie alpha that you wish was over you!
Their chemistry is crackling and the story line is sizzling!!!
One thing I didn’t like about the book (and this is why it lost a star for me) was repetitive conversations between Sadie and Mitch in the chapters. It stopped half way through the book but it just annoyed me a little by reading them over again from both POV.
Another fantastic book ladies. This book has it all and more, so much more. It’s funny, witty, full of angst and with plenty of surprises.
In this book we get to follow Sadie and Mitch’s story.
Mitch wanted Sadie as a teenager, but he didn’t think he was worthy of her, that she was too good for him. So Mitch made the decision to leave his parents, and home in Havenwood to find himself.
Years later Mitch returns home. No longer the scrawny, awkward teenager, Mitch returns as a man. Now it’s time for him to make Sadie his.
Sadie, has spent her life in Havenwood. Life is simple, no love life to speak of but that’s ok, she is happy and content with what she has. Sadie is running her own business alongside her best friend. But with one simple ring of the bell at the stores door alerting her to a customer is going to change all of that. As the man in front of her is delicious and happens to be the Mitch. Sparks are going to fly, and the chemistry is going to be hot...
Will Mitch and Sadie be able to let each other in and have a relationship?
Loyalty, it says it all! Mitch and Sadie had some issues that stopped them from being together, little did they know, they were great together. These two characters were in book 1, Honesty and I'm really happy they got their story. Mitch, having military history, still has some insecurites but still a great guy and he really has a thing for Sadie. When an old friend from the military turns up in Havenwood, Mitch is curious as to why he has come. Some odd things happen in town and Mitch goes missing. Loved this story, love the chemistry between Mitch and Sadie. There is mention of Walker and Eden from Honesty, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping some other characters mentioned in Loyalty will get their story as well. Great work Ally and Deb!!!
